Here's a sweet image from Lili of the Valley. I just love their cute little girl images. I added a fun butterfly that was actually meant to be a sewn patch. It's fun to find things to add on to cards. I hope all is well this weekend. Can you believe we are now in June? I have 3 weeks now to get Vacation Bible school crafts ready!
Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, DCWV); Image (Lili of the Valley); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Sentiment (Heidi Grace); Butterfly (unknown); Bling (Studio G); Pen (Sakura); Adhesives (Glue all, Glue dots); Color (Copic Markers);

A Glimmer of Hope
Sweet Pea stamps is featuring artist Rebecca Sinz this week by having each design team member create a project using one of her stamps. I am using Glimmer of Hope which is currently available in both Rubber and Digital format. Be sure and check out the artist's original coloring so you can see how different my coloring looks.
Here's a close up of the stamp itself. I colored it using copic markers and framed it using a wonderful diecut from Spellbinders in a metallic blue paper from DCWV.
I finished the card with a gorgeous sequined lace in black topped off with a Turkish lace on the bottom followed with some lace butterflies. I hope this card inspires you with a glimmer of hope today. Be sure and check out all of this artist's gorgeous stamps. She does the most awesome lady images and many ladies with gorgeous animals and flowers.

I'll be your bunny
Here's a hot stamp from Unity stamps. This woman has got some attitude, that's for sure. If only I had legs this long, lol! I am also using some fun die cuts from Memory Box and Cat's Pajamas. Do you think the hubby will like it? Maybe I should just go get a bunny costume instead.
Hope everyone is having a great week. I can't believe May is ending and summer is upon us! WOW. This year is flying by.

Dare to be different
Now here's a real CHEEKY little card that I made using an image from Stamping Chef. Isn't this a hoot? I just love her fun lady images. Mind you, I think if I saw this lady in person, I might not find it so amusing, lol! But here, I can get a chuckle.
I am using a fun die cute from Cuttlebug, these are something new that I haven't seen in many stores, but came across one day on Amazon. They cut really nice, I was quite impressed with them, both in cost and quality. They emboss too. It's larger than the face of my card here.

Miss Smexy
Here's a great new stamp that I got from Stamping Chef. I made this fun card to play in the Your Scrapbook Place challenge. They have a recipe for your card, it must have printed paper (my striped card), two images (my Miss Smexy and the heart stamp), and three buttons. It's that easy to join in the fun! Here's the link if you want to join in the fun! Click here.
I am also using a fun sentiment stamp from Unity (that's also where the heart stamp comes from).
Miss Smexy was colored in Copic markers. I am also going to share this card with the folks at The Stamping Chef!
Cheers, Holley

Pastel Goth
Do you ever have one of those images that just makes you go, "EEK, I GOTTA have that image!" This was one of those images for me. I don't know why, because I never was a Goth girl as a kid but maybe my spirit was, lol. This cutie comes from Sweet Pea Stamps artist Zoimar Lezama and she's called Pastel Goth. Be sure and check out her coloring on this stamp because I love it.
I added a steampunk embossed background as well as some diecut hearts to go with her. I can think so many fun color combos for this stamp.
I gave her the lightest grey eyes. I guess I just love that color on eyes because it reminds me of my hubby. I also have to say I totally adore that she has a cherry tattoo (which I totally imagine to be a fake) and a backpack. Ahh, cute kids.
Have a wonderful weekend.

You are loved
Here's an adorable girl from The Greeting Farm with some gorgeous shimmery papers from Paper Temptress. I colored her up with Copic markers in yellow and orange, so I wanted to you some beautiful yellow and orange papers to go with her. I know you can see the beautiful circular pattern on the left, it seems faint in this photo, it's actually a clear overlay, so it stands out a layer on top in the real life. It's a transparency with the circles printed on it, just like the "paper" underneath the You are Loved words.
The base of this card is using a gorgeous mica cardstock called Flame. I stamped my image on a wonderful white cardstock called Neenah Solar White. I am using a Hambly Studio products, an overlay, called Orange Mod Circles. You can get this sheet individually or in a combination set. I am using two very small pieces from the same sheet, one of the left had side of the card and one right behind the sentiment. I am also using a gorgeous Hambly Studio Screenprint which is a yummy shimmery paper much like the shimmer of mica but less thickness. It is called Retro Rectangles and is also available in a mini combination set.
So if you are looking for that gorgeous shimmery paper that makes your card look like a thousand bucks, check out the mini combination sets at Paper Temptress.
Cheers, Holley

Pretty in Pink
Here's a sweet card from artist Sherri Baldy. I just love her cute little girls. When I was young, I had such long long hair. I did this card up in pinks with a fun heart shaped border on top. I am putting this card in the SSS Challenge this week, the theme is Anything goes spring time. I know a cute little pink shirt and matching bow in my hair was definitely a spring time thing.
Hope you will join in the Anything goes challenge over at SSS Challenge. Sherri is giving away a bunch of adorable images this week.

Squigglefly Challenge
Happy Monday everyone! Welcome to this week's Squigglefly Challenge. This week the challenge is called "all shapes and sizes"....I know we always like to use matching shapes and sizes on our cards, I layer an image on a rectangle, then use a larger rectangle to lay it on...this week let's do layering with DIFFERENT shapes! Cut your image in one shape, layer it on a different shape. Maybe even TWO different shapes? let's see what we can all come up with. Here's my card with three shapes of layering. I am using a fun new image from Squigglefly artist James Horvath called Messy Kid's Bed. I added a fun vellum sentiment that says "Play" as well as embossing each of the different papers that I used for layering.
Drop by the Squigglefly Challenge blog to see all the wonderful cards that the Holley Hobbyists created this week for your inspiration and then share your card with us! All you need is to have at least two different shapes layered on your card. If you use a Squigglefly image, you will be eligible for a prize, even if you use a wonderful freebie!!

Caution, She's Dangerous!
Here's a wild woman card I am making for a hot man in my life...this awesome image is from Ike's Art. There's a new contest going on at Left of Center Creative Challenge to share a Male theme card this week. So, Danger, don't look if you don't wanna see
Isn't she awesome? Ike draws some hot stamps, as well as some great animals, horror (i.e. zombies, skeletons), and even beautiful florals. Drop by the Left of Center Creative Challenge. This week they are also featuring Dilly Beans whom I like a lot!
Cheers, Holley

Baseball Season
Here's a fun little guy from artist Sandra Caldwell. Doesn't he look like some of those kids you know? I know that was me when I was trying to play baseball. Never could even hardly life a bat (I was so tiny) and hitting a ball was not going to happen. But I did try! My sister however (who I might add was about 7 inches taller than me) was an amazing player. First year she picked up a baseball bat and glove she made all star.
I made this cute image the size of a baseball card and used a vellum sentiment that says Try&Try Again. Sandra has some wonderful digistamps at her Etsy store Babycakes Doodle This and That and next month I hear she will have her designed carried in a new digistore! Keep your eye on my blog for that announcement!
Cheers, Holley

Forest Blue
Happy Friday everyone! here's an awesome image from Sweet Pea called Forest Blue. This image was designed by artist Ching chou kuik. I am using very dark green paper as my base and shimmery green flocked paper to mount the image on. I created a border with Bazzill Bling at the base of my card and then filled the whole card with green bling. I added a sentiment from K&Co.
To finish the card, I added in a flag border on the corner with cute butterflies and a little flower button. Here's a close up of the stamp being feature this week:
Do you like her blue hair? I am using B91-B97 for it, I was initially going to choose a much brighter blue color family, but I didn't want anything that would stand out too far away from the greens that I used to color her dress and wings (G20-G28).
Have a wonderful weekend.
Cheers, Holley

Excellence
Meet Smexy Sasha. She's a great image from Stamping Chef. I am sure many of you may recall back during my celebration in February that we had some awesome card shown using their stamps and wonderful prizes from them. I do so adore her images. This one is no different. I used color that I normally don't, that being the green on her shirt as well as the green and blue combo on this card.
I added a sentiment in vellum "Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude." I am guessing this woman has that attitude they are talking about!! Adding this card to their weekly Challenge.
Project Materials: Cardstock(Bazzill, Neenah, DCWV Metallic); Image (Stamping Chef); Flower (Prima); Brad (Basic Grey); Vellum (); Adhesives (pop dots, Glue all, glue dots); Color (Copic markers); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities);

Rollergirl Awesome!
Here's a gorgeous stamp from Simply Betty Stamps. Wow, just love it. The bright pinks with some Skulls, lol! I added a fun sentiment, "Why try to be normal?" Really, what is normal anyways? I added a strip of skull paper in the background and two new skull die cuts that I got recently.
Here in Austin, we have a Rollergirl league, those girls are some hard core athletes. Some of you may have saw a movie that was done here in Austin about it, starring Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore (Whip It). Of course the movie deals with all other dramas in the life of a high school girl growing up but for those (like my husband) who love rollergirl action, it was a hit.

Happy Birthday John!
Sharing this Birthday Card today that I made for my DH. I hope he likes it. This stamp comes from Queen Kat (who has now closed down). The beautiful orange sentiment is just perfect and is from Adorn It. The Happy Bday flags are some that I got from LaLa Land.
I am making him cookies this year instead of cake. I knew that is what he would prefer. Hope you all have a wonderful day today too!
Cheers, Holley

Pins in my Heart
Here's a striking image from Sweet Pea artist Concetta Kilmer called Pins in my Heart. Something about this image is just so stunning to me. I had to print it out as soon as I saw it. I colored her up in an assortment of Copic markers and used a reddish brown background with tan and brown embellishments to match.
Isn't this image Stunning? I love the horse and the doll.
Be sure you check out all of Concetta's images at the Sweet Pea Stamps store, she also has some really great Owls.

Howdy Y'all
Here's a fun card using a beautiful image from Stamping Chef and gorgeous papers from The Paper Temptress. Don't you love this combo? I must say, I love this sassy lady, though personally I don't have a cowgirl hat or boots to my name. Yes, I live in Texas. I think maybe I do have a cowgirl kind of attitude though! This fun image is called Howdy Baby.
All the papers here come from Paper Temptress. The base of the card is a wonderful Mica cardstock called Copper. The bottom layer as well as the layer that the sentiment is on is a great screenprint from Hambly Studios. You can get a wonderful assortment of these in a 6x6 assortment pack, which are great for making cards and give you a load of choices for less cost. This sheet is called Chic Circles, as you know, I am HUGE fan of brown/pink combo. The image is printed out on Heavenly White. The fun sentiment comes from Cosmo Crickett.

If you love the SWALK images, I have heard that Crafter's Companion is discontinueing them so they are on a huge discount in the store and will no longer be carried, so you best get any of them that you like. I have been a huge SWALK fan, so I already have most of that set.
Wishing you all a great Saturday! Off the neighborhood's little fun. It's the Brentwood Violet Crown festival, which is held every year in a park just a few blocks from my home.
Cheers, Holley

Meet Lilleth
Check out this awesome Sweet Pea stamp from artist Teresa Sherman. This image is Lilleth. Isn't she stunning? I really wanted to highlight the gorgeous woman in this stamp. I colored her face and hair in assorted color copic markers, then I did the background (the dotted areas) in WARM Greys and did the foreground (i.e. the flowers) in a monotone set of COOL Greys.
I also entered this card in the Left of Center Creative Challenge.
It's hard to see on this image, but the black card stock is a shimmery metallic back, more of a metal glaze and a shiny metal. The orange is actually a copper metallic (mica) cardstock. I used all different sort of die cutters from Memory box to surround the image, but kept the all the same color, so even though it's "busy" looking, they blend together. Then I added a simple sentiment with a matching glitter tone "Forever." I think the look on her face very much fits with that sentiment.
Here's a close up of the image:
The shop recently had several new digi stamps from Teresa Sherman. She has the most beautiful lady stamps as well as some fun Halloween and gothic type images. The store also sells many of her stamps in rubber stamp format.I also entered this card in the Left of Center Creative Challenge.
