Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea stamp's artist Merdith Dillman. She comes from Plate #98. She's just amazing. I colored her in reds with a light tan highlights. I had some beautiful printed paper from American Crafts that went perfect with the coloring. That turned this card into a love theme card.I used some sparkly cardstock behind the image, but could have also taken some plain cardstock and used some spritz on it to make the background sparkly. Then I added some beautiful roses and a chipboard heart. I added some transparent decor that say "you & me" and will give this card to my husband for our upcoming anniversary.
Here's a close up of the image I added a very light hint of blue on the feathers of the wings to give the shading but to still keep the coloring very light and airy. I think this close up also lets you see some of the shimmer on the background paper that is very visible when you see the actual card in person.
Project Materials: Cardstock (Paper Temptress, American Crafters); Rubber Stamp (Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento); Die Cuts (Lifestyles); Flowers (Recollections); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Ribbon Glue, Glue All); Chipboard (Studio 8); Mesh (Hobby Lobby); Color (Copic Markers); Saying (Hobby Lobby);

ReplyDeleteOh how stunning! I really love this card. (Then again, I pretty much love all your cards.) This is an amazing image whick of course your coloring of it is what really makes it stand out. I noticed you mentioning Sweet Pea Stamps and Sher mentioned them too so I went there last week. I won't tell you how much I spent but I can't wait until they come. (When my DH saw it in the check book he asked me what it was and I told him and blamed it on Sher...LOL). I just hope I can do them some justice and make cards as beautiful as you do.
