Happy Halloween everyone!! Here's an awesome stamp from Tickled Pink, though this artist now makes stamps for CC Designs. I just love her images. This witch is too cute! I added some shimmery spiderweb paper and framed a tiny spider on a web! That gorgeous stitched ribbon comes from Istanbul.
I hope you all have fun plans for Halloween! I bought a bag of candy to hand out to the kids, we usually get 30-40 or so here. I may go up by the church where they are having "Trunk or Treat" meaning people are setting up their cars all decorated and everyone just goes up to each person's car to trick or treat. That should be a load of fun to the kids.

Trick or Treat
Sharing this fun Halloween theme card today, She's a great stamp from Simply Betty Stamps. She's got some tiny fangs on her. The other large embellishments are chipboard goodies from K&Co. Had to use some fun Skull paper too. Just 2 more days now, then you are just going to be seeing Halloween cards for next year, lol!!
I am also in the midst of wrapping up a huge portion of cards for the annual church bazaar and I have been making some other projects to donate for it. They are having their proceeds go to the Water to Thrive, which build wells in third world countries, The Strong Start Program and The Montopolios Friendship Center this year. It will be on Sat Nov 2nd if you are in the Austin Area. So far, 90 cards to take there in addition to about 40 pairs of handmade earrings and more than a dozen jewelry pieces.

Kraft Paper Challenge
Here's an awesome stamp from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Kim Gwin called dragonfly. I colored up this image using five different shades of blue. The Challenge this week is to use kraft paper, also think of that as brown bag paper. This paper here comes from Paper Temptress. I am layering the brown bag paper with a complete layer of clear printed transparency.
In addition to the kraft paper, I am also using several other amazing papers from Paper Temptress here, Hambly overlay in White Heleconias. The image was printed out on Neenah Solar White paper. The black paper is a wonderful textured ruche called Black Crepe.
Drop by the SSS Challenge this week, and be sure to add some fun Kraft Paper to you card to play along.

I don't know if I would totally consider this Halloween...Hmmm. perhaps. Looks like something I might wear year round, lol! Here in Austin we have one of the biggest bat colonies in the world, so the community is very PRO-bat. So this cutie is A-ok!

Witches Rule
Here's a super cute witch stamp from CC Designs. I just love her sweet and innocent look. I am using some stunning spiderweb paper which I added some cute spiders onto. I got these embellishments at the Scrapbook convention last month. Fun fun!!
Can't believe this week is Halloween. I hope you have something nice planned with your family. I imagine my hubby and I will stay home and hand out candy to some local kids, though usually not many, we get about 30-40 or so.
Cheers, Holley

Meet Jinx from Brigid Ashwood
Here's an adorable stamp from Sweet Pea artist Brigid Ashwood. She has a whole line of fun Rubber Stamps at the Sweet Pea store, this girl is called Jinx. I thought this cute little outfit, with her skull and crossbones tattoo would go well on this gorgeous paper that has an adorable skull pattern on it. I added some great combo of orange, red and yellow embellishments and one of the newest die cuts from Spellbinders.
here's a close up of the image itself, be sure and check out all the other Sweet Pea design team works this week, as this artist will be featured all week long.

Operation Write Home
Here's another card that I created for the Operation Write Home project. This wonderful project is being sponsored by so many crafting companies to collect cards for the soldiers. I am using beautiful papers from Paper Temptress here, along with stamps from Floppy Latte and a sentiment from Sweet Pea Stamps.
I am using a cardstock base of Brown Bag cardstock. The decorative boarder is a shimmery paper from Hambly Studio Screen Prints. These papers can be bought in wonderful assortments of 6x6" pcs which are perfect for making cards with! The textured black paper is ruche, Black crepe. I printed out the digital image onto some wonderful Heavenly White.

Happy Monday everyone! You know that means it's time for the Squigglefly Challenge. This week the challenge is Leaves....with a double meaning, you can either use leaves as in tree leaves, fall foiliage and the like or you can use "Leave" as in travel, take a trip, etc. I actually think my card fits both, since I have a traveling witch and she's flying on her broomstick with some leaves in the air. This adorable image is from artist Fawn Palmer and comes with the fun Joke shown. I mean, how many pregnant witches do you see? She's called Naughty Witch, HA!!

Little Vampire
Have you seen a theme over the last couple days? well here is one more lady vampire, though this one is a bit younger.... Here's a fun image from Sweet Pea artist Teresa Sherman for this week's variation. My stamp this week is called Halloweenies-Vamp. She's so cute. I colored her up with purple hair and made a pink card using gorgeous shimmery mica cardstock. I know it might not look a lot like Halloween, but I think the image itself gives the Halloween vibe.
Here's a close up of the image herself. There's also a fun Frankenstein, Mummy, and Witch available in this collection of stamps, both in digital as well as rubber format.
I hope you have fun making all those last minute Halloween cards. So many great images to choose from! Enjoy and be sure to check out what's on sale at the store. Cheers, Holley

A Haunting we will go....BLOG CANDY CELEBRATION!!!
Here's an adorable kitty and her witch off trick or treating. I think I best give them a treat as I would hate to get a trick from a real witch. This paper is from Paper Loft, which I picked up last weekend at the convention in San Marcos. So much fun. Spent two days there, took three different classes and walked around the convention floor for way too many hours. Totally spent too much and was totally exhausted. I got lots of fun dies (like the one I used on this card here), wonderful cardstock stickers, like the sentiment used on this card here, some beautiful papers, and lots more goodies that you will be seeing over the next year.....Woo hoo.
Now, for BLOG CANDY---Yesterday was TOTALLY awesome, I went to my Oncologist (now, often can the words awesome and ONCOLOGIST go in same sentence????), at any rate, I got my 6 month test, HOLY COW--the blood test was TOTALLY normal. NORMAL. I don't mean "kinda normal" or almost normal as he has said before, which meant, really low way below what it was supposed to be, but not so low that they are going to force you into care....I mean it read completely normal. WHAT?!?! Wow. It's been a decade since that has happened, but particularly that last couple of years as this oncologist and my current doctor have been watching so closely and trying to get me into care for a low white count and get tested for cancer. That test though is awful. UGH.
I wouldn't consent to take the test. At any rate...After the brain surgery and finally getting off the drugs from epilepsy as my seizures have stopped completely...a new blood test now shows that my white cell count has come back to normal! This means, for now, no more worries of cancer!!
I think that merits a celebration!!! I will put up some photos soon, but for now, just need to leave a comment here. I have TONS of goodies to offer, wonderful stamps, wonderful embellishments for cardmaking. WOO HOO. Will pick the winners from amongst the commenters of today's posting.
Project Materials: Cardstock (Paper Loft, Neenah, Bazzill); Stamp (Freebie--unknown though, if you know the artist, please let me know); Ink (colorbox chalk); Color (Copic Markers); Embellishments (Jolees); Sentiment (); DieCut (SPellbinders); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all);

Fright Night
Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea stamps artist ching chou kuik. Her work is so gorgeous. I used a totally unusual color for me, and that's the green, but I think she looks wonderful in green and it seems to really compliment the orange perfectly. This image is called Pumpkin Light and it's available both as a digi stamp as well as a rubber stamp (Plate #148).
Here's a close up of the image, there's specks of glitter everywhere as the skeleton borders are covered in black glitter. Isn't this image just stunning?
I hope this card makes you want to create something beautiful for the upcoming Halloween holiday. There are some gorgeous images from ching-chou kuik in this category. You can find all the Halloween stamps in the link here.
Cheers, Holley

The Pumpkin Patch
Here's a gorgeous witch from Queen Kat artist Kathy Cyr. It's Frances Mary and Cornelius hanging out in the pumpkin patch. I added some gorgeous die cut vines and some fun pumpkin brads to decorate this card. I think it would be fun for Halloween or even a witchy thanksgiving.
Be sure and drop by the Queen Kat store as the new stamps for the month have been added. There's some great holiday images that are in now.

Operation Write Home
Here's a gorgeous card that was made for Operation Write Home (OWH). I was in a blog hop last week and I spoke about this program which is collecting cards to be sent to the soldiers. There was a wonderful group of companies that are supporting this cause, including A Day For Daisies, which gave me this adorable little fairy stamp that I used to create this card. I will be donating this card to OWH. This cute fairy is called Tiny Bell Fairy. I am using a sentiment from Sweet Pea Stamps. I am sure a soldier will send this to a family member wishing to them that their dreams to come true, I left the inside blank, so it could be used to wish birthday greetings, missing you wishes, or other sentiments.
All the gorgeous papers on this card are from Paper Temptress. The base of the card is a thick column cardstock called Canyon Brown Skinny Columns. The wonderful textured paper on the base is ruche called Sky Blue Crepe. The white paper which has the digi-stamp fairy and the stamped sentiment on it is Heavenly White. I also added a tiny border that I created with a Martha Stewart punch using a small leftover strip of Basis Gold. I edged all the textured cardstocks with various types of ink to give some depth to the card.
Don't forget that Paper Temptress is having a wonderful Contest filled with prizes from many companies and they are also collecting cards, just like the one shown here. There are guidelines for the requested cards (click here). The contest and the address to send your cards to this program is included HERE (click here).
Cheers all! Holley

Stitching cute
I know so many people love the look of stitching on everything. I do, but I am not good enough with stitching on paper with a sewing machine, so here I have simply drawn the stitching in by hand, it looks cute, but perhaps would be even better if I could learn to stitch with a machine. I see those adorable hand-held machines all the time, but I also see people who can't ever seem to make them work. This adorable image is from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Sherri Baldy.
So, my question to you guys is, does anyone own one of those little machines and get them to work?
This cute card today is for the weekly challenge at SSS! Drop by their challenge blog for the chance to win to five free images by creating your own card.

Here's an awesome freebie image that Crafty Moments artist Vince (sorry I don't have his full name) at this blog (CLICK HERE) named Who's that Ghoul? So I colored her up and wanted to share my card. I'll have to drop him a note so he can see the card I created with his image. He's recently posted some amazing Dia de los Muertos images!
Cheers, Holley

It's Rianda
Here's an awesome witch from Queen Kat named Rianda the Witch. I am using some fun brads with tags "BOO" and a cute Under a Spell sentiment to go with her. I have colored her up in beautiful green and added a wonderful bat border to the top of this card. This adorable paper is from Blackbird line of My Mind's Eye. It matches perfectly with the brads.
Be sure and check out all of Terri Nickleson's wonderful stamps and all the fun Halloween theme images at Queen Kat. I just love this gorgeous witch, be it for a Halloween card or just for fun anytime!

We brought our creativity together in the hopes that we would inspire you to join us (DT members) in doing a good deed! Most of you know our men and women from the armed forces are deployed all over the world. Sometimes these men and women are in places that make it very hard, or they’re far away from where they can pick up a sweet card to send a quick note home. Luckily, they have OPERATION WRITE HOME (OWH). OWH is a non-profit organization that sends special boxes filled with cards to soldiers all over the world. How can you help OWH keep the good deed going? By creating cards!!! Yes! OWH angels receive tons of handmade cards from crafters all over the world, then they check and organize cards to be sent out to our soldiers. Take a look at some of their own words about OWH packs:

Darkness Falls
Here's an adorable little witch Tilda. I just love that she's using a modern broom, lol! She's quite "Spooky" now isn't she? OK, maybe quite adorable is more accurate. I had to color her up in Halloween purple and highlight the spider web off the top of her hat. So cute.
Hope you enjoyed this cute little Magnolia card today, have a great day!
Cheers, Holley
