So, have you seen those cards that flip open to show you an additional image when you open the card? They are called Flip-Its and there are several die cutters from Sizzix that cut these cards out for you (also in conjunction with a company owned by Stephanie Barnard whose class I took at the last Scrapbook Convention). You don't have to have the matching stamps or die cutters from the
Stamps of Life Company by Stephanie Barnard, but I did adore making some Flip Its cards. So when I saw a die cut machine go on sale, I had to get one, primarily so I could make these cards as well as use several other dies that are wider than 5".
Here's the card I did from the front, flat view. It will fit perfect in those 5.5" envelopes.
Then when you pop it open, here's the "inside of the card"
You could also write you sentiment here, but for this card, I chose to write the sentiment on the backside of the card.
Project Materials: Cardstock (Paper Temptress Flame Mica, Bazzill); Stamp (CC Designs); Die Cuts (Flip Its Square Sizzix Bigz; Spellbinders Nestabilities; Border Sizzix); Color (Copic markers); Stickers (Adorn It); Buttons (JoAnns); Twine (Doodlebug); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue dots);
