Here's a fun stamp from Tiddly Inks, Isn't she so cute! I just love this artist's fun images. I used some MM polka dot paper and fun ribbon to add a background and a border around it, then filled the card with some gorgeous pink flower buttons and embellishments. Had to add the sentiment "My sunshine" to it.
I hope you are all having a great year and are starting to thaw out from the freezing cold, at least if you are living in the USA, we have been having some unusually cold weather. Even here in south TX, where is quite unusual, we actually got some snow (ok, not really, more like a slight dusting of ice) but when you never see the ground turn white, it's quite a big thing.
So, how about a fun question for the day, tell me, how much snow have you been in? is that snow you saw on a vacation or snow where you live? For me, I guess the coldest place I ever lived, probably a tie between north Alabama when I worked at NASA and school at Texas Tech in north TX. Those places will give snow a couple times a year, that will mean a few inches worth, enough to cover the grounds pretty good.
How about you? Does it really snow where you live? do you like it? add that when you leave a comment today...
Did you sign up yesterday? if not, be sure and go to the Feb 1st posting and leave a comment, that posting will have winners chosen all month long! This posting will have it's winner chosen in a few days from now so tell your friends to drop by and join in. Cheers, Holley
snow.. yuck.. I love the sight of snow at Christmas but only then. It does snow in the Netherlands but fortunately we didn't have any up until now. I do hope for some frost though ( I hate the cold) but that would kill some nasty bugs.
ReplyDeleteWow what a beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteLovely details.
Gr Elly
Hi Holley!!! I live in Brazil here we don't have snow (except some rare places). But I lived some time in Germany and I loved the winter. It was very different...so I tried everything...ice skating, sky....it was a lot of fun!!!! :)

ReplyDeletenow about snow.....this is a four letter word for me that I don't like!!!!! yes, we get lots and lots and lots of snow here in CT. not my favorite time of year. I always say if my grandparents had settled in the south I would have been one happy lady.

Love that image Holley, so cute. Snow is a very variable thing here in coastal southern Norway. Sometimes we get lots, sometimes we get none. At the moment we have only seen a few flurries this winter. Last winter there was lots. I like none.
ReplyDeletewhat a cute image and a very beautiful card Holley.
ReplyDeletethis year we did not have snow and I'm happy about that.
I don't like snow to see at it it's beautiful especially the pictures from mountains.
But we don't have that here in holland.
We have had snow for the last 3 years but this year not.

ReplyDeleteAdorable image! I love her flowerpot full of hearts...
ReplyDeleteOn snow. I grew up in Wisconsin. The winter I turned 9 the snow was higher than I was. Somewhere around 3.5 feet I would guess. I lived in South Texas for 16 years and was living in Corpus Christi for their hundred year snow in '04. I love winter. I adore snow! Not so crazy about the ice and cold though. I live in the middle of the land of winter wheat now...central Kansas. Snow is essential for a good crop. We haven't had much snow the last few years, and less this year than anyone around here can remember. I miss the snow too. :(
What a beuatiful sweet card. Janny
ReplyDeleteLove the coloring and the embellishments you added.
ReplyDeleteA sweet card and cute image xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Holley what an adorable card she is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI hate the snow we haven't had any here yet (UK) we had enough last year lol! xx Jan
This is so sweet - love the embellishment.
ReplyDeleteOn snow, here in the south of the UK, we get snow at some time pretty much every winter, but so far we've only had rain - more in January than has been recorded for a century! I suspect what'll happen is we'll get towards spring and then get snow. It wouldn't be the first time.
Gorgeous card, lovely image!
ReplyDeleteNow here's the snow, help me, I do not like at all, this is old, but so too are freezing in the winter :) I'm a chilly cat ..:)
In general, we have a hard winter and lots of snow, now there should not always be summer.
The temperature was - 20 degrees, the next week, promised zero.
Hugs Kaija<3

Holley I wish I could colour like you. Your card is darling.
ReplyDeleteLiving in Canada we are used to the snow. I have lived in this country for 60 yrs. I remember getting a lot of snow, but I don't remember it being this cold for so long. The winds also have been horrid.
I love this adorable card! Great work with the embellishments.
ReplyDeleteSnow!! What is that!!
ReplyDeleteNo, we don't get any at all where I live. It is summer here and we are having lots of lovely hot days.
your coloring and shading are very pretty and I love the image you chose.
ReplyDeleteI'm back :)
ReplyDeleteForgot to tell that I was not crazy to ski at a young age.
Every time I was on skis competitions and did very well.
My cousin was a skater girl, and she won the Insbrugin Olympic gold and silver medals for Finland.
I remember when I skied home from school so I was stopped by a man who interviewed me when the magazine's cousin won.
The great thing about a small village girl :)Hugs Kaija<3
I always love your cards, Holley! And you can color, girl! :)
ReplyDeleteSnow? Us? Probably got a total of 90" this winter - don't know for sure. We usually hear the details in Feb. and March. Right now we have over 2 feet everywhere on the ground that's flat. BTW I love your card - you're an artist dear! Happy anniversary!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the card. Wish I had half your talent!

Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteI grew up in central Michigan. Pretty sure we've had snow as tall as I was as a child...thinking right abt 4 ft. I love snow...especially if I don't have to be out in it. Some of my favorite childhood memories of family time was being snowed in!
sweet little image, lovely colours and design - beautiful card!
ReplyDeletexx
I love Tiddly inks images. They are so darn cute, aren't they? The one you used on your card is perfect for Valentine's day. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWe usually start getting snow in December, but this year we had autumn weather til the end of January, when we finally got some snow. That was ok, but yesterday and today we had freezing rain. It caused A LOT of problems on the roads as well as in the woods etc. Lots of pepople were without electricity for the whole day and in about 70% schools around the country there won't be any classes tomorrow. I like snow in general (I guess this comes with the fact I like skiing), but I don't like to drive in the snow. We get snow every year, which is good. Nothing bites white Christmas! ;)
Hugs! xx
This image is adorable. Love how you embellished the card. As for snow. I currently live in the valley where there is no snow but I did grow up in the foothills. We got some snow every year. I love to watch it fall but hate clearing the walkways.
ReplyDeletegorgeous card Holley so cute with the butterflies and buttons on love all the pink,

ReplyDeleteSue C,
The heaviest snow I've been in was in Michigan during my college days. The largest single snowfall was over 26 inches in 24 hours. The university removed snow an area full of soccer fields. There were still little piles left there when the spring soccer season started.
ReplyDeleteI love the card. Tiddly Ink has some of my favorite images.
Hi Holley,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your surgery Anniversay.
Lovely little lady on your card.
Yes, it snows here in Lancaster, PA. Expecting 3-4 inches early Monday. I like watching it fall but hate the cleaning up and driving.
Take Care,
Melody D.
Love the button and butterfly touch. The stamp is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLiving in Perth Western Australia, we never see snow, but sometimes a frost on the ground in winter. It is high summer now and a couple of weeks ago we had high temperatures of 44-47Celsius which equates to 113 to 118 F.... it is just too hot to cool the house down. But then it is mid Summer.
Hotter in other places of Australia.

What a sweet card!
ReplyDeleteLove your "My Sunshine" card, image from Tiddly Inks. Great coloring job and love all the embellishments you added.
ReplyDeleteI'm a transplant in Calif. since 1972, but grew up in IN where there was plenty snow and bad weather. Remember one snow storm on April 1st and going to church all decked out in Easter apparel and boots and heavy coats. Glad I'm in Calif.

Hi Holley - the most snow that I have seen is skiing. I hate driving in snow and am glad we hardly get it in austin. Audrey r in austin
ReplyDeleteLove your TI card. You've coloured and embellished beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWhere I live we don't get snow. The coldest I've been to is Canada in January many many moons ago. I remember looking out the bedroom window one night and just admired the snow falling against the street light. A beautiful sight that I'll never forget.
Beautiful card you made, I have this image too and it's so cute! Great embellishments you used! =)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Elenor
Hi Holley, very sweet card. the image is so adorable and your coloring is great!
ReplyDeletegreetings, Natalie
I don't like being cold and really never get warm in the winter, so I now travel away from the snow & cold and have not seen it in 2 years. YEA! Beautiful job coloring the image.
ReplyDeleteHi Holley,
ReplyDeleteLovely card and the image is sooo cute. TFS.
I'm from Northern Ireland and we can get quite a bit of snow around this time of the year. Last November was the worst I can remember and we were totally snowed in for a week- thankfully we knew it was going to happen, so we were well prepared.
Hugs,
Trish x
Such a cute card ~ Love those little Tiddly Inks girls!
ReplyDeleteSnowy and chilly here in NE Ohio. No snow today, but we do have snow predicted for mid-week, possibly heavy snow. We shall see! We're already way above normal for average snowfall for the winter!
i live in southern ontario canada, and we have snow all the time, we have had as much as 4 ft or higher, and it is beautiful to look at if you don't have to go out in it, but i personally hate it

ReplyDeleteSuper cute card Holley. This is a darling image. I'm always amazed to see the cards you make. :)
ReplyDeleteLove Sher
Oh My, I do so love Tiddly Inks! And your card showcases the image perfectly! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAs far as snow totals, I fell in love with it when I was eight and CHicago saw an honest-to-goodness blizzard. I remember afterwards the weather shot up and started melting the top lkayer of snow (reaching over three feet) and then the temps dropped, forming a crust! My sister and I could walk ON TOP of the snow and touch the top of our garage, step over the top bar of our swingset and if the stairs hadn't been shoveled, opened the back door and stepped into the house without going up the seven steps leading up to it!
Three feet is the most I've seen in one storm, but this year we have three feet that has accumulated over the last month. Big smilers, unless I havew to drive during the snowfall. Then I'm whiny!
She's adorable Holley.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Brooke
Us Austinites don't do too well with colder weather do we?!!! I am so ready for a little warmer weather (45-50 degrees). I don't want our heat waves to start too early ! Love the cute card.
ReplyDeleteI am constantly amazed at how good your painting is! Her hair looks like it has highlights. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI don't like snow - mainly because I don't like cold. Now if snow came with 60 degree weather .... I live in Tracy, CA and it doesn't snow here - we get HOT here in the summer though.
ReplyDeleteHolley she's a real cutie. And I love how you colored her.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Brooke

ReplyDeleteYou have so many cute valentines day cards! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, we are having our 7th snow day of the year. We don't usually get this much snow.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love Tiddly Inks! Wryn is so cute especially with this flower. Nice take on the image, with beautiful embellishments. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteYes! It snows here in Indiana!! We just got 7.5" last night. In fact, this is the 4th snowiest winter on record...and it isn't over yet.
ReplyDeleteI do like to watch the snow but really dislike dealing with it.
Another adorable card today! Love that image.
I'm originally from Ohio, so snow was second nature to us. In the blizzard of '78, I remember all 4 foot of snow we had in less than 24 hours. The National Guard had to dig our road out. I went to work my 12 hour shift and couldn't get home for four days. My employer put us up in a hotel, and while we were there, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir blessed us with a mini concert in exchange for feeding the choir. Even though I live in Colorado now, most of the snow we get is gone by the end of the day because of the sun melting it due to us being over 6,000' in elevation.
ReplyDeleteI love how you colored the image. -3 here this morning with a storm on the way. Winter is here with a vengeance.
ReplyDeleteI live in las vegas so we don't get a lot of snow here. Most snow I've been in was on a road trip where they closed the highways and we were lucky to get a tiny Motel 6 room. It was about 1 foot of snow. Miserable experience!
ReplyDeleteSweet card!!
I lived the the Kootenay area of British Columbia, Canada when I was first married. The shoveled sidewalks were 5 feet high at the stacked snow part. Most I saw fall at once was three feet overnight!
ReplyDeleteMe again...for got to say that this is a pretty image and loving the colours and pretty butterfly!
ReplyDeleteI lived in Vancouver, British Columbia years ago and the most snowfall I saw was when we had a rare snowstorm that stranded quite a number of cars and stopped the buses running for a little while. Having said that, about 5 years previous to that storm was another snowstorm that left us with a beautiful white and serene Christmas morning hush that I miss so much now that I'm living in hot, humid, and insect-ridden tropical Asia.
ReplyDeleteAnd again, I think you do such an awesome job with your rads especially the colouring! Sorry accidentally hit the post key before I was done. :)
ReplyDeleteAaaaahhh! Cards not rads...
ReplyDeleteGoodness, this card is so adorable! I will have to scrap lift the idea for my grand-daughter's Valentine card!
