Here's a darling image from Sandra Caldwell of Babycakes DND on Etsy today. She's called Luv my Wabbit #226. Too cute! We are having a wonderful challenge over on the Facebook page Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans. Sandra has great surprises there too, just last week she gave away a wonderful freebie! Drop by and check us out.
Have you seen her images on Etsy? Sandra will be giving out prizes later this month. Love her digis. She wanted to stop when the last store who carried her stamps closed down (Sweet Pea stamps). I know I was one who insisted that she keep going and I did so by starting up Sandra Caldwell stamp fans and then going from there. It's be fun to see where everything is going now!
Question of the day: Do you die cut? which type of die cut machine do you have?
I have a old Sidekick from sizzix, I have one of those old Red Sizzix original cutters that a friend gave me. At one time I had a Quickkutz that I gave away. I currently have two machines that I use side by side, a Sizzix BigKick and a Cuttlebug.
How about you?
Have you seen the current winner list (CLICK HERE), also, be sure and sign up by leaving a comment each day! If no winner is listed for that day, you can go back and leave a comment to be in the drawing!
I doubt that I make a card anymore that doesn't have a die cut on it. My original machine was a Cuttlebug but something snapped and I had to let her go. I now have a Spellbinder's Grand Calibur. I love the larger size so I can cut more than one die at a time. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, so interesting with all the angles. I have the Cuttlebug machine.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable new image Love your coloring in the sunny yellows and pinks. Fab design, too. I started out making only Cricut cards but don't often use it now. I also have a Cuttlebug, Big Shot and Spellbinders Grand Caliber. I love using die cuts with stamps. xxD
ReplyDeleteLove your bright colours on this card Holley - fabulous combination!
ReplyDeleteI have the same machines as you - Cuttlebug and BigKick. I tend to use the BigKick a lot more as it is a lot less work when die-cutting!
I love the layout of this card, Holley. And, the image is adorable too!
ReplyDeleteI have a Big Shot and I use it all the time. Do you have any advice on how to keep those clear plates from warping so badly? I flip them all the time, but they always seem to curl :(
my plates warp too over time. I don't know how to make that stop either Jean. I will say I have seen a you tube video about Microwaving them and that makes them flat again and seals all those cracks, but I worry that it would crack my board right in half so I have never tried it. Then again if it was board I was already replacing, I guess there is no harm in trying that. I would search to see the You tube video(s) again though. Seemed interesting
DeleteCute card and image, I like those colors together! I have a big shot machine.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Holley and design, I have a Grand `Callubar ,E Bosser and Todo and waiting for the new Big Blue to arrive. Hugs Jennifer xx
ReplyDeletethis is super cute! love the fun colors and shapes!
ReplyDeleteI love to use die cuts on my projects. use them on almost everything I make. I have a Big Shot. :)
Hi Holley - I love die cuts and use my sizzix big shot, all the time. I love the framelits that match stamp sets and use my magnetic platform to cut them out perfectly. I use dies to decorate gift bags and make matching cards for baby showers, bridal showers, etc. Looking for heart die cuts for upcoming wedding bags.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and love the image and colours.

Love this fun image creation with beautiful layering!
ReplyDeleteI almost love to use die cuts in my all creations and I have a teal color Bigshot!
Cute digital image with the "Wubbit." Love how you turned the yellow paper and have it coming off the edge. I have a Big Shots machine and love it---use die cuts all the time. Many years ago I went to a warehouse sale at the Ellison Factory in Lake Forest with some friends. Got the machine for $25 with the accessory pack because it was in the heavy duty plastic packaging which they were changing to another packaging style. Yeah, I got on the winner's list. Thanks, Holley.

Cute card Holley! I use dies in my cuttlebug, but I also have a Cameo Sillhouette which I am still learning to use
ReplyDeleteI have an original sizzix too. I don't use it though. I also have a cuttlebug which I use mostly, and a revolution that does an awesome job on really intricate dies! I also just inherited a cricut expression! It's pretty cool too!

Cute card, Holley. I wrote Sandra after Sweet Pea closed to tell her to hang in there, and I'm glad she got support from you. You are an amazing woman. Meanwhile, I have an Epic Six, which I thought at the time would be able to use all types and sizes of dies and embossing folders, but since then have been disappointed in it. And no craft stores I know of can give me directions or help with matching up various kinds of dies with my machine. It does, however, cut the Spellbinders, so I have stuck mostly with those dies. I love the dies you use on your cards!!
ReplyDeleteCute! I have several die cutters...but the ones I use most are my Vagabond and my old dependable red Sizzix manual machine. Even though the Sizzix is big and cumbersome, I know I will get perfect die cuts every time
ReplyDeleteCute card Holley. I die cut often. I have been they numerous machines that I gave away when I updated. Now I have a Big Shot and a Spellbinders Grand. The Big Shot is my go-to, but the Grand cuts larger dies so I'm glad to have it too.
ReplyDeleteI love to die cute. I have a Cuttlebug. It's the only one I've ever owned. Love the bunny and buttons.
ReplyDeleteA wonderfully sweet card Holley and fabulous colours. The image is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm spoilt. I have a Cuttlebug, Grand Calibur, X-press and a Big Shot Plus. I love using die-cuts, especially flowers and flourishes xx
I have a big shot and it sees lots of use
ReplyDeleteI noticed someone mentioned about the plates bending. There is nothing you can do with the older machines. Sizzix read somewhere that only on the newer machines they adjusted the tension so it's not so tight and won't bend them as much but I love the idea of nuking the sheets with have to look into that mine is pretty horrid looking at the moment. Hugs Nikki
morning Holley, I bought a Sizzix Bigshot for myself for a Christmas present. Have not had much use from it so far but will certainly be doing so this year. cute stamp

I don't actually own a die cut machine but I borrow my Mom's, and she has a Sizzix! One of these days I'll get one of my own...and just borrow her dies!
ReplyDeletecute fun image!! :) I use my old trusty Big Shot for my dies and embossing folders and also have a Cricut Explore as I like the freedom it gives to upload svgs and make your own designs :)

Very cute card. Love the image. I have a cuttlebug. I mostly use die cuts while making mini albums.
ReplyDeleteCheerful card and so adorable image :)
ReplyDeleteI cut with (believe or not) Sizzix Texture Boutique (bought cutting plates and it works well - I am limited only by size of dies). I bought Texture Boutique few years ago - to use it only with embossing folders, but then I won GC to buy some dies :D, I bought cutting plates and try to cut out, it works and I fell in love with die cutting :D. But Big shot is on my birthday wishlist
Cute crd.I use Big Shot.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE die cutting, I own a Big Shot, I've had it for six years and its still growing strong and you can never have enough dies!
