I'm wishing for something cool....

Well, given that we have had a record number of days over 100 deg F this year, I am certainly dreaming of some cooler weather right now!  Here's a wonderful image from Robyn's Fetish that hits the spot.  This image is called Home for the Holidays. We are having a challenge over on the Monday Greetings at Outlawz with a Blue, Red, Green color combo.

Red hot mama!

Here's one red hot mama, or at least she's brave enough to dress as such!  I don't know if I could dress as such at my age, so hopefully at her age I can dress however I want and look just as confident as she does!  This awesome image is from SLS Lines. She has some wonderful lady images and great quirky and unusual theme images too.  Check this image, Sexy Mom in underwear out in the new SLS Lines store. (I colored her up to be sexy grandma!!)

I should be in flight now, please keep me in your thoughts or prayers. I am not really worried, I suppose I am hitting Paris and Istanbul in the same day.   Looking forward to arriving and being on vacation!

Happy Birthday Sandra!

Here's a gorgeous stamp that Sandra Caldwell gave me in celebration of her 65th birthday.  I used this stamp to create a card with some gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress.  I hope Sandra had a wonderful Birthday yesterday and I hope she had a wonderful day today.  Since it was birthday #65, I thought it deserved an extra card :)

Here's  an enlargement of her image, printed out on Neenah Solar White Cardstock.

The base of the card is gorgeous Mica/Metallic called Azalea.  I added some lovely Hambly Studious Overlays called Magenta Brocade.  There is a small stripe of Mica Metallic Flame at the base of the card which I matched by dusting the edges of the image in orange chalk ink.  I layered my image in a deep yellow as well as cutting out a Best Wishes sentiment paper called Gold Basis.

Here's a wonderful new bestie called Img976.  Isn't she just TOO CUTE?  I totally fell in love with this girl.  She's got a little bit of sassiness that I like.  I used several shades of pink on this card to just make her POP.  I hope you love this card

Vacation Time

Vacation time has arrived and though I don't plan on wearing any swimsuits or laying out with umbrellas, It sure doesn't get any better than this.  I have huge thanks to everyone who helped me raise the $ for the trip and everyone who took all my classes, bought cards and supplies and helped me the last two months as I ran 200mph to get everything done. Thanks so much!!

Faith

Let us all have faith. Keep me in your prayers and I will keep you in mine.  As I go off on vacation, please think of me through the upcoming weeks and wish for safety in travel and well being in Turkey.

I am using wonderful Chalk Markers here to make this beautiful image.   The work wonderfully on rubber stamps by using them like ink and laying your stamp face up, inking the stamp with the markers and then stamping your image.    Immediately wash the stamp afterwards.

Here's one of the cutest Sandra Caldwell images!  Too fun, this guy is called Space Hippo.  How fun is that?  you know I love her fun Hippo images. Leaf Cards

Sharing some gorgeous nature cards I made with some leaves that a friend at church pressed for me.

She picks the loveliest leaves to press and then I create cards with them and donate them to the church to sell at the bizarre.

Love

Here's a fun die that I got from Top Dog Dies before they closed down. I love this gorgeous corset they had.  I made this lovely card for my hubby and added this sweet sentiment "It's not being in love that makes me happy. It's being in love with YOU that makes me happy."

I hope he likes it.  Next week will be super busy as the church is holding vacation bible school. I am sure it's no surprise but I will be doing crafts for them.  Sure is going to be busy....lol, I am tired just thinking about it.  HA!

Skull time

Well you all know how much I adore skulls.  Recently I picked up a couple of adorable Dia de los muertos items (not stamps) but items from local stores, the cutest socks, a fun handbag, and a blank journal that I can take on my trip.  Here's a great image from Dilly Beans.  She has a bunch of adorable skull images.

I love being with you!

Here's a real hottie that I made for the hubby this week using a great stamp and some wonderful papers from Paper Temptress.  I used some great netting as an embellishment and some bling brads with a sentiment "I love being with you."

The base of this card is using a beautiful mica/metallic cardstock called Azaela.  I stamped the image on Neenah Solar white classic crest paper and colored it with copic markers.  I always let my stamped image dry at least 24 hours.  Even when the ink seems dry, when using copics, they will run if the ink isn't completely dry.  The layered cardstock is a bright yellow called Lemondrop Poptones.

Follow Your Dream

Here's a sweet little image from Fairy Ink.  I am working on choosing a little bit of colors that I don't use as often.  Green is one of those.  Now I just need to start including purples and blues in with the mix.

Less than 2 weeks from my trip now! I can't wait.  Everyone tell me where's the last place you went on vacation?  I can't wait to hear

Circus Lion

Here's a wonderful brand new image from artist Sandra Caldwell of Babycakes DND.  This great image is called Circus Lion 952.  He will be added to the store later today.  She's also got some other wonderful circus theme stamps today, a clown, a big top, and elephant,...so many more so check out her new images both in her store as well as in our facebook group, Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans.

I can't even recall the last time I went to a circus, I think I was taking a child to one over 15 years ago.  I can recall the last time I saw a circus set up, big top and all, just a few years ago, as well as watching a nearby train pass with all the circus animals (and characters) looking out the side cars like they really needed some air conditioning.  What a life of travel that I can't begin to imagine.

Goth Vampire Nurse

Here's a fun image from wonderful artist Rick St Dennis.  This digi stamp is called Goth Vampire Nurse.  If she doesn't scare you a little, perhaps she should.  Don't let her sexy good looks fool you.  I made this card for the new challenge which starts tomorrow at Outlawz, the Monday Greetings Challenge.  The theme this coming week is to add at least one button to your card.

Sharing this fun image from Ike's Art today. I adore this artist's wonderful images and awesome Halloween and darker images.  She also made me my very own image for my celebration this February when I hit 6 years seizure free. Here's a fun image that was a nice gift from one of my favorite artists, Lizzy Love (on HER birthday).  She's the owner and creator for Oddball Arts. One of my favorites here, as I use her great images all the time.  I made this quick and cute card using her freebie for their recent contest over on the Oddball Arts Challenge blog.

I hope this card give you some sunshine. I am guessing if you live here in TX where we are now having well over 100 deg everyday that you probably wish you had a lot less sunshine everyday.

Here's an awesome image that was given by the East Wind this month.  If you don't belong to her mailing list, you totally need to sign up as she does send out a wonderful freebie each month.  There's also a fun contest each month using the free stamp (or any East Wind image).

Here's an awesome image from Bloobel images.  I am loving this artist's works.  So fun and quirky, it's right up my alley.  This card is for the contest at Outlawz which starts tomorrow, the Monday Greetings Challenge. This week's theme is to incorporate music, so I chose the song "Good Times" by adding the sentiment "Enjoy the good times."

One day at a time

 Here's a classic from Sweet Pea stamps that is now retired. This image comes from artist Charmaine Flannery.  I added a great sentiment "I try to take one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me at once."  I thought that sentiment was just perfect with this image and with me as well!
