Here's another card I made this month for Epilepsy Awareness. Here's some facts: The color for Epilepsy awareness is Purple. World Epilepsy Day is celebrated on March 26th.
About 1 in 26 people in AMERICA will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. Currently three million Americans and 65 Million people world wide have epilepsy. 2/3 of people will never know why they have epilepsy.
Epilepsy affects more people than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson's combined – yet receives fewer federal dollars per patient than each of these. Please encourage everyone to reach out to government officials to do more research. 1/3 of the patients with epilepsy will have NO control over their seizures with any of the current medications. New medications and treatments are always needed.
Hugs everyone and thanks for your support. Just think, every time you are sitting in a large room full of people, someone around you likely has epilepsy. If you didn't sign up for blog candy on Nov 1st, please go back and sign up!! All candy winners will get announced at the end of this month!
