Plant seeds of happiness

Here's a wonderful stamp from Sherri Baldy, I made this card for the new contest over on the SSS Challenge blog.  This cutie is just too sweet. The contest is to include butterflies and flowers on their card.  Winners chosen will get a prize from Sherri and a chance to be a guest designer on the Addicted to Stamps blog.

Don't you just love Sherri's cute little girl stamps? She also has some great boy theme images.

Question of the day: Do you emboss?  embossing folders only?  brass stencils?

I used to LOVE embossing stencils, in fact, it's what started me card making, but now I do very little of it. I do however like embossing folders.

    I love the look of Embossing but I am too lazy to go plug in heat tool 😏. You would think I do it all the time with my 50 containers of Embossing powder in every color. Haha lol

    Such a cute card, Holley!! I have a variety of brass stencils from many years ago, but have to say I mostly just use embossing folders because they are so easy to use and you get such great texture. I still have my light box from about 20 years ago so maybe I will get those brass stencils out again!!

    What a pretty card! The sentiment is so nice and is certainly appropriate today. I love to emboss using folders. I have a few metal stencils, but never think to use them.

    Cute card. Definitely puts me in the mood to welcome spring. But it's still cold here....brrrrr. I use embossing folders, half-folders and border folders all the time. I like adding dimension. Hugs, Barbara

    Hi Holley - very cute card! I mostly use embossing folders, although I do have some brass stencils and a light box, which I need to use! I love the look of stencils dry embossed and then chalked. Audrey R in Austin

    I love this image! It reminds me of my daughter before she was a teenager. We grew a garden in pallets one summer. She was adorable!

    I really love my embossing folders! I have a few brass stencils, but have never really used them much. I have used plastic stencils to emboss some too. I also enjoy heat embossing. Sometimes that smooth shiny bit is just what it takes to make a piece POP!

    I really like this little girl. She is just too cute. I emboss, all 3 ways. The reason I bought my first Wizard was to be able to emboss the brass stencils without poking a hole in them, like happened often with a stylus. From the Wizard I graduated to a Cuttlebug and then a Vagabond. I rarely make a card that I don't have something embossed or cut on it. So glad for the improvements to our craft.

    Adorable card Holley! Sherry has the cutest images. I do emboss and use embossing folders. Ive never tried the brass stencils though. I should look into that.

    Such a cute image and card, Holley! One of my favorite techniques is to swipe ink over embossed paper, so I do love embossing folders.

    What a fun and cheerful spring or summer card. You always color your images so beautifully. I like using embossing folders to add texture to my card bases and have started using a few of my older brass stencils again too

    Yes, I do emboss. I use embossing folders, brass stencils and embossing pastes. They are awesome for backgrounds, adding texture and depth and I love coloring parts of or all of the embossed images!
    I love this adorable card! The little girl is darling! TFS!

    I love this cute garden card and I do love embossing! I was so thrilled to discover embossing folders because it made the process so quick and easy. I also use brass stencils every so often, because I bought several of them years back when that was the only option. Of course, I love heat embossing too...so yes to embossing!

    I love this card. I do emboss. I started with the brass stencils but gave most of them away. I do use embossing folders. I am starting to experiment with inking them as well.

    What a fun card for spring! I always love embossing and was so excited to discover embossing folders. I had tried using stencils for embossing a few times but kind of made a mess of it so embossing folders are my favorite.

    Cute card. I love embossing. I have a few brass but I use mostly folders. They are so easy and fun. But the brass ones are brilliant for using texture paste. Much better than plastic stencils. Hugz
