Happy February Everyone! Time for a HUGE CELEBRATION!
I am so excited every year when I make it to this month, that means it is another year of seizure free life after 2 brain surgeries. I am so very thankful to all of the wonderful crafters out there who supported me and to all my new crafty friends that I am sending out crafting goodies to everyone!! I have wonderful prizes for everyone all over the world! If you are new to the celebration and haven't seen my story before, you can find it HERE.
I am starting us off with a wonderful card using am image from Polkadoodles, she's called Ruby Birthday Cake. I made this card for the contest that is happening over at the Your Scrapbook Place Card challenge. This challenge happens every month starting on the 1st for all card makers. Share your card on the contest's website for a chance to win a prize from their sponsor.
Now for some contest info:
There will be winners chosen everyday from the commenters. There will also be winners everyday chosen from those who commented on the Feb 1st posting. So no matter what day you join in the contest, always go back and make sure you enter comments on the previous days.
I like to ask questions everyday. There's a reason for that....sneaky Holley is getting to know you and what you like. The more you answer the questions the more apt you are to win the prize AND the more apt you are to get a prize you like. For example, last year a bunch of ladies told me they liked flamingos.... guess what I got several of for this year....yep, some adorable flamingo die cutters.
I do pay attention to what you say you like and try to pick prizes I think you would like.
I will start posting a winner list, when you see your name on it, simple email me your email for digi prizes or you address for mailed prizes. Also, KEEP and eye on the list!! Many people will win more than once!! My email is htondre@aol.com All prizes will get mailed out at the end of the month!
For my dear friends overseas, please understand that postage overseas from the USA is very expensive now, I would love to send you more, but it's too expensive. What I can send you is some great die cutters or clear stamp sets that will fit in letter post mail, lol one prize at a time to keep them flat. I can also send you digi stamps! I am more than happy to send you prizes though, so please join in the fun. My contests are open to everyone

Your surgeon is pretty amazing. Your gratefulness and appreciation to him shows you don't take any day for granted being seizure free. It's so hard to believe how many wonderful years your wonderful surgeon has given you! God was there to guide his hands while we all prayed for your recovery. God does hear our prayers!
ReplyDeleteYour cards always amaze me. I've loved seeing how far you're coloring and design how come over the years. You've also introduced me to so many new companies that has helped fill my house up with their wonderful products.
You mentioned flamingos as one of your prizes, and my heart skipped a beat. I started buying them for my sister and now I'm addicted too!
This card is gorgeous! I love the coloring and I assume that lace is from one of your visits overseas. I drool everytime you use it! This is another company I've missed, but now it's time for me to go check them out.

ReplyDeleteAww love your card, Holley! So happy you've been seizure free these past several years! My friend had a brain surgery also to stop seizures and it's been about 20 years and he is still seizure free! Amazing what medicine/doctors can do now!

ReplyDeleteI am so disappointed that I have had to miss most of this fun celebration! I look forward to this every year but I injured my shoulder falling UP a flight of stairs on January 30th and have been in an immobilized sling, had surgery and physical therapy since then. To top of my run of luck I then slipped on the ice and pulled muscles in my groin and knee.(All injuries are on the same side of course.) Then, my whole thigh turned black and blue and after yet another trip to the hospital, I found out I had a blood clot thanks to the combination of blood thinners and my leg/groin injury! I am hoping that this ends my bad luck and I can just get better and enjoy the rest of your fun event!

ReplyDeleteI just have to say say thank you again for putting on this amazingly awesome event for the last nine years! I know how much work it is to write each of the posts, make a card each day, gather all the prizes together, pick daily winners, then pick gran prize winners, get sponsors together, figure out what questions to ask, deciding which goodies fit each winner, sort, address and mail everything and still find time to eat, sleep and breathe!
