Here's the perfect card as a combo of Halloween and Dia de los Muertos. I just love this image from Stamping Bella.  The oddballs are one of my favorite new stamp lines. I LOVE their fun images.  This one is no exception, You know I love me some Skulls.

Happy Halloween eve, or all hallows eve!  Here's a cute Halloween card that I made using a kit from SEI.  I just love their kits including their wonderful papers, ribbons and stunning embellishments.  Better yet, if you are patient, you can be checking their website and find them on sale periodically for just $5 a kit!  That's a true bargain for all the goodies you get in there!

Skeleton Smiles

Thought I needed to add a skeleton card right before Halloween time. I am also using some great paisley trim that I got while in Istanbul a while back.  I am so hoping to get a trip back there this summer.

Hope you are all ready for Halloween. I should totally share some photos of my neighbor's house.  They have been putting up decorations for the entire month, it's just WOW.

Hello Friend

Just five days until the Church Bazaar now.  I have taken off on Friday to get to the church and help with the set up.  There will be so much work to do.  It's really bittersweet as this is likely the last Bazaar we will have at the 49th annual.  Our church is set to close at Easter :(

A new church will be formed in our building, but a very different church.

Here's another SEI Halloween card.  Aren't these ghosts too cute?  I just love the papers that come from that company.  Their card kits are marvelous.  I totally recommend them.  Lots of times when I am so eager to craft, but feeling stuck creatively, I will put out a couple of card making kits and do one.  OR when I have guests who may be interested in crafting, but somewhat intimidated, these kits are a great way to have a fun evening.

So after I said we had a 40 something degree day last week, we actually managed to make it back up to the 90s again.  Well, that's south Texas for you.  Our fall is really fighting to stay summery.

Amazing

Here's a card I made using a great kit from SEI.  I also added some wonderful Turkish Lace to the card.  Let's all hope for an amazing finish to this week with the kids. I can't believe the first 9 weeks are over now (here elementary schools are graded in 9 week sessions as opposed to the 6 week sessions that middle and high schools are).

This means we are already 1/4 of the school year over!  wasn't that fast?

Get Well

I am posting a special Get well card today for a dear lady at my church who had an encounter with a dog and needed 100 stitches to her face!!!  OH MY!  when I had brain surgery, I only needed 80 staples to hold my head back together so I can't imagine 100 stitches.  She's elderly, but in excellent shape and good spirits.  All your good thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Cute girl

Love these fun girl images from Notturno Digi Art stamps on Etsy.  The store has the cutest girl images and some delightful animal stamps as well.  I just love the big eye girls myself.  Totally my favorite.

Today the school is out, but the staff like me are working.  (lol, SIGH)  Teacher's are meeting with parents, but I am not a teacher (but a special needs paraprofessional).  At any rate, I have to be there too, mostly doing misc  nothing work, HA!

Is it Fall yet?

Is it fall yet?  Here's the perfect card for Fall time, using some pressed leaves.  We had a couple of days this week when it wasn't in the 90s, does that count as fall?  I guess in central Texas it does LOL!  but seriously, by Friday we had dropped down to the 40s!

Here's a hilarious card using a fun image from Taylored Expressions Grumplings.  I think I have had a number of days recently that have been pretty tough so I haven't exactly been my best.  Though during school hours I just put on a smile and act happy to the kids.  Then the poor hubby when he gets home, I am gloomy or sad.

Hopefully things will be changing real soon.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.  HUGS!

Cute Ghost

Here's a great Halloween card using a wonderful Kit from SEI.  That ghost comes from some gorgeous paper with shimmery ghost pattern.  I just love it.  Their card kits always have the best stuff included and way more goodies than the instructions call for so you can change the designs if you desire.

Here's a delightful stamp from Your Next Stamp.  I just love this cute animal image with a matching saying, "I love you so much, I could squish you."  TOO cute.    How can you resist this?  I had to pick this image up on one of my last on line shopping trips a while back.  (lol, online shopping trips, ha!)

Sharing this lovely leaf card that I made using some beautiful pressed leaves from a fellow church member.  I wish I could say that it felt like Fall here but we are still touting mid to upper 90s with 100 degree "feels like" humidity!  UGH!

Its the candy monster

OK, I am the candy monster.  But, lately I have been doing really good at staying away from most all forms of candy.  Most forms of concentrated sugar in fact.  That's not easy for me.  I do love me some sugar.  Not having it is tough.  I told the DH to skip the candy for Halloween (for me of course, not himself or the trick or treaters).
