who are your favorite rubber/clear stamp companies? do you prefer rubber or clear stamps? are both fine?
I have too many lol! I love Unity stamps, Cat's Pajamas, Tim Holtz, Sweet Pea Stamps, KatzelKrafts, Penny Black, Sizzix, Stamping Bella, ummm so many to think of! how about you?

10 for 10. I like it! I haven't met a stamp I didn't like. I like rubber stamps and clear. I like Penny Black, Unity and Sizzix. Right now Heartfelt Creations flowers, birds and butterflies make me happy because I like how the dies go with the stamps. It keeps me from having to fussy cut as much.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! I use both rubber and clear. Tim Holtz, LawnFawn, and Sizzix come to mind as favorites. It’s the images that catch my eye, not necessarily the brand, and I love it when there are matching dies.

ReplyDeleteI love a few companies...Lawn Fawn, Sizzix, Twinkle Lane, Createful Heart, Close to My Heart....and the list goes on. Lol. I do prefer acrylic, but I use all 3. If I see a stamp and like it, I go for it. xxx
Holley - I love your card and want to copy the layout with the flags! I love Taylored expressions, Jilly Bean Soup, Unity, stamping bella, Stampin up, clear or rubber. I love it when they come with matching dies!

ReplyDeleteI love all clear stamps having cute critters, florals, animals, birds, coffee, background dies from these brands especially YNS, Sizzix, Lawn Fawn, MFT, SSS, Pretty Pink Posh, Penny black and many more!
Hi Holley. I hadn't done a lot of stamping for a while, but got attracted by some of the floral stamps by Artisan Designs UK, Then by some of their background stamps and butterfly dancers. They make rubber stamps, though I also like clear ones as I find them easier to position and less fuss than rubber ones for attaching to stamping blocks or platforms. I have some Rare Earth stamps with more natural nature images that are clear stamps as well as Hunkydory ones. And a whole lot of other stamps that I have probably completely forgotten. It is great when stamps come with matching dies for the main topper elements as I have trouble cutting out fiddly things and getting my Scan'n'Cut out for every little stamped image isn't practicle.

ReplyDeleteI have and use some rubber stamps. I love Magnolia stamps, C.C.Design, Julie Nuthing, Stamping Bella. Transparent I never used, I don't have them ... yet !!!
Oh, this is such a beautifully colored image and card Holley. I love it when a doctor shows compassion as well as medical talents. It makes a difference to the patient and promotes healing I believe.
ReplyDeleteAs for favorite stamp types, I like clear stamps for their ease of placement but rubber and cling stamps are also just great. I like Hampton Art for their vintage designs, Mama Elephant, Lawn Fawn, Your Next Stamp and Newton's Nook for their cute critters. I've been enjoying the Love Nicole stamp sets that you've previewed, even though I've never heard of that company before.
When I first started stamping, they only had wood or foam mounted stamps, but clear stamps changed the whole business.
What a cute image! I seem to be favoring clear stamps lately although I do like my mounted ones. My favorite stamp companies are no longer in existence.....Personal Stamp Exchange (PSX) and Me and Carrie Lou. They had such elegant images.

I love so many companies. These are a few companies I frequently go to: Unity, Stamping Bella, Hero Arts, Waffleflower and Penny Black.
I like red rubber and clears stamps.

Such an involved question for the day. I like both rubber and clear, but I prefer my rubber unmounted, and without cling foam. As for my favorite manufacturers...I really like a lot of Tim Holtz stamps, Viva Las Vegas, 7 Gypsies, and so many others. I tend to shop more by theme than brand. I'm a big grunge and shabby chic fan, so tend to look for stamps that fit into those categories. Birds and realistic fish are my big hunt right now. I'm also falling in love with stamp sets with matching dies. Sometimes I just don't feel like fussycutting.

ReplyDeleteI have a lot of digi stamps since I started stamping about 4 years ago. I have a few clear stamps from Kraftin' Kimmies, so I think I'm partial to clear stamps. I've been reading your comments and have found lots of companies to investigate.
I'm also a cat lover.
Awesome card!! I love that sentiment! Your doctor was kind to ask that question as some people do get traumatized in different ways. I like both clear and rubber. Favorite companies would be Unity, Tim Holtz, Stampendous, Art Impressions to name a few. There is so many great companies out there. Love background stamps and anything mixed media too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card. I really like the green colors and that banner at the top, as well as the beautiful stamped image. I like either clear or rubber but have been using more clear stamps so I can see where I'm stamping. I don't really have any favorite stamp companies but I prefer stamps without too much coloring necessary and I like animals, vintage designs, and stamps that can be used for either men or women.

ReplyDeleteOooh, this is so pretty and I love the story about your doctor being so thoughtful. I can use either rubber or clear stamps but usually stick to clear stamps because they're easier for me to line up. However, I do love Unity stamps, and those are rubber. The designs that I like are ones by Unity, Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant, Waffle Flower and Penny Black. The only type of stamp that I don't usually use are digis, or the Big-eyed girl designs...or sexy images.

I love your story and how strong of a fighter you are. I haven’t had cancer, but went through a major open heart surgery this past year, followed by blood clots in both lungs and behind my knee and then to finish it all off with a heart attack four months afterwards. I also am a fighter! I wear my rather large scar down the middle of my chest as a badge of honor. At first it bothered me, but now I look at it as a reminder of what I’ve been through, what I’ve survived and how strong I am!

ReplyDeleteI love both clear and rubber. Now that I have a couple stamping presses they both types work well and I can keep them straight.
Some of my favorites are Unity (of course), Stamping Bella, Rubbernecker, Stamps by Judith, Penny Black and Whimsy. I'm sure there is more....LOL

I love Unity for red rubber, The Stamps of Life for clear, and now that I have a stamping platform and some little confidence in coloring, leaning in to a wonderful archive I had collected of Unity (and grabbing all of the new stuff of theirs that I can afford). :)

ReplyDeleteRubber over clear any day. I am pretty loyal to Unity, but a part of me wants to play sometimes so I will take adventures into craft land and grab a few other things. I am partial to mixed media and Tim Holtz is another addiction. Oh, and Tuesday Morning is draining my bank account, dang store. Keep writing, good for our souls.

ReplyDeleteI have and use both by many companies. I had trouble with clear in the beginning but then had to switch black inks and experiment some work better on clear. Actually I do not think I have met a stamp I have not like. My husband says I have an addiction. What a wonderful addiction to craft.

DeleteI have a few stamps from many companies and many stamps from Stampin’ Up and Unity. I was introduced to Whimsy stamps in this last year. I think I like good red rubber, though I have not tried any of the better clear stamps yet.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy just cheering others up and have mostly sentiments from mostly unity. Like 15- years ago I had some from another stamp company that I have been trying to remove from wood blocks to allow me to use my Misti .
