I made this Doctor Bear card using a great image from Sandra Caldwell as a thank you card for Dr Aboumatar and his staff. I am so very thankful for that man's work along with the neurosurgeon who did the operation. What a blessing I received. WOW.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: as my list is close to being finalized, are there things I haven't asked about that you don't want in your package? Things you do? I know it seems odd to ask, but I hate sending goodies that people don't use. Of course, you are free to regift them or donate them elsewhere but i'd rather send you something you do want. For me, I don't ever seem to use washi tatpes, alphabets, large background stamps, or rub-ons.

I haven't picked winners for Feb 20-Feb 25th, so if you haven't left a comment on those days, go back and leave one to be in the drawing!

Oh, what a sweet image! lol... What a lovely thank you card for that doctor.
ReplyDeleteI think I forgot to fully answer on one of the questions several days ago about STENCILS. I do use stencils...and wish I did more! I do not use brass stencils, though.
I also do not use a lot of lumpy bumpy embellishments on my cards. Most of my cards are flat easy mailers.

I don't think there's anything I didn't use. But I actually don't use much washi tapes, "ugly digi and stamps." I love your card.
ReplyDeleteSuch a thoughtful and nice card! I don't like steampunk images. Other than that I use a variety of stuff.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card for your doctor! So thoughtful, and I’m sure he appreciated it. I don’t use Rub-ons, large background stamps, skulls/punk, digi stamps, or brass stencils.
ReplyDeleteI can use almost anything, but just can’t seem to get recollection stamps to stamp crisply, so prefer not to get them. I am looking for bee stamps and or dies.

ReplyDeleteAdorable thank you card for your Doctor! I don't use washi tape, rub-ons, embellishments, stickers. I don't need any butterfly stamps.
ReplyDeleteFun card for your doctor and his staff!
ReplyDeleteI don't tend to use rub-ons, stickers or bulky embellishments.
What a sweet as well as fun card!
ReplyDeleteI don't use digi's, stickers or rub-ons (although I own all of these things - they just sit in my drawer! So do flowers and buttons! I am trying to use them as much as I can this year, tho.
It's always so heart warming to hear how grateful you are for your medical team, and credit them every year. We sometimes take good health for granted and it's a good reminder of how precious it really is. As For things I don't use, that would be digi stamps, alphabets and fussy old fashioned images, flat stickers, bulky embellishments or buttons, and images with a lot of detail that need lots of coloring. I like coloring animals, but people are not my talent, lol.
ReplyDeleteI love washi tape and clear or cling stamps with cute images. Thanks so much Holley, you are amazing!
Darling card and a blessing
ReplyDeletefor you for sure! We are always
thankful for surviving life
threatening events. I love
Washi tape, stickers, dies,
stamps and craft tools!
Anything crafty works for
me or I can give to family.

This is so cute, Holley! I love that you made another thank-you card for your doctor and his staff. Brian's doctor, whom we absolutely love, has departed, and now Brian has no doctor at all (Nova Scotia has 82,000 people without a family physician). He is left with "virtual care" so for us, just having a doctor is something to be grateful for. I made thank-you cards for Brian's doctor and her staff and then Brian and I both wrote our personal words of thanks inside. It felt so good to let them know that they are appreciated, even though we already told them verbally. I think it's so important to express gratitude, especially these days when kindness can sometimes be in short supply. That's why I appreciate your celebration so much! As for your question, some things I wouldn't use would be Halloween or skulls (like Vinita) and bulky embellishments (like Janis). Thank you for asking!
ReplyDeleteThe doctor bear is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteI don't really use stickers. I love background stamps, and adore rub-ons. Especially text rub-ons. I'm finding my tastes changing some these days. I have been favoring more neutral tones over all with pops of color here and there.
I am sure your doctor appreciates the card. It is just wonderful. I generally don’t use Halloween or day of the dead, or mushy sentiments. I tend to be partial to flowers. I love to try new th8ngs and am grateful or any prizes I win.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful card, you're so thoughtful! I use most crafty things and can't think of what I wouldn't use. I'm in need of washi tapes, flowers for cards, western stuff, charms, anything blue!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic card for your wonderful and talented Dr! I don't use a lot of buttons or bulky embellishments. I love washi tape but never seem to use it. I'm not big into dark/gory subjects in my stamp supplies.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun card and how lucky you are to have had such a great medical team. I try never to take our health care system for granted.
ReplyDeleteI use stamps and dies, but don't make Halloween cards or Thank You cards. I also don't use bulky embellishments on my cards but do like washi tape and twine.
I think it's very nice of you to make a thank you card for the doctor and his staff. I'm sure they will like this one. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like spooky/scary things (zombies, skulls ...) and never use those.
Wonderful card. Thank goodness there are people in the world like your doctors. I try to keep my cards flat for mailing so I don't use heavy embellishments. I like to try new things, so I'm game for anything else. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome dr bear. it made me smile. Don't use rubons, not a flower fan, don't use religious text. Hugz
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! Perfect little doctor, but also a perfect image during this pandemic. I use a bit of everything, just not *too cute* stamps (although I do love looking at the cute images on others art). I'm still into nature, nautical, mermaids, frogs, Halloween, celestial but I branch out onto other subjects too.
ReplyDeleteI love your card. I don't use a lot of letter/word stickers, buttons, larger embellishments or really spooky/scary stuff.
ReplyDeleteI just love the way you express your appreciation for your doctor and surgical staff for giving you a new lease on life. Your joy just shines through in everything you do. What a fun card. I like a variety of themes and styles, but don't do large scale images, digi stamps, or intricate sentiment dies. I also don't use heavy or bulky embellishments because I mail my cards. Love washi tape, twine, clear or cling stamps, Tim Holtz, Hero Arts, stamps with matching dies, and realistic nature themes.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do use embossing folders, I think that I might already have most of the ones I saw here so would prefer they go to someone who can use them. Either way, I'll love anything you send Holley...you are so generous!
what a beautiful card Holley
ReplyDeleteI don't use washi tape, but I use alphabet to make names

Such a cute image, I love this card.
ReplyDeleteI don't use very scary things... But I always try to use new techniques, things...
Wonderful and fun card.
ReplyDeleteI don't like spooky and scary things.

Hello, the card for your doctor is beautiful, congratulations and I hope it helps you to regain your health. I use everything to create scrapbooking projects: stencils, folders, dies, stamps to color with prismacolor. I am not well stocked with stamps for every occasion, for example for weddings, to thank doctors, for boy's cards.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful gifts you will send to all of us, you have a big heart and you pass on passion.with love Taty
Love, Love , Love this doctor image! I bet your doctor and his office did also! I know my doctor and their staff always appreciate when I make them cards. As for your question, I do not use stickers of any kind, washi tape, rub-ons, large background stamps but do use stencils, I do not send out Christmas cards so I rarely use anything Christmas. I do have 6 grandchildren so anything child like I love for boys or girls or even teenager also for I have a couple teenagers also. Thanks Holley for being so thoughtful of others. You are just so kind!
ReplyDeleteCute image. I'm not a Card maker so do not use Ribbons. You are so caring for ensuring to send goodies to people who will use them. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness.
