Cup o' Joe

Here's a Stamping Bella stamp that I just loved.  It's perfect for those coffee cards. I love how her shirt and her hair turned out in the coloring on this one.  I added some fun floral theme turkish lace and some coffee theme diecuts.


Question of the day: do you use embossing folders?

I LOVE embossed paper but I rarely seem to use the folders even though I really like the patterns.  Am I lazy or what?!?!!!

    Holley - I agree, her hair and green top look great. I do use embossing folders as they give texture to plain colored cardstock. There are so many fun designs, too! Audrey R in Austin

    Wonderful job coloring, as usual. Yes, I use embossing folders. Sometimes I use the large ones and just sponge on multiple colors and bam it's done. They are fantastic for a quick down and dirty done card when your in a time crunch.

    I love her hair! I would kill for that hair!! lol I love how the lace sorta looks like coffee beans. The perfect blend of craftiness here. ;-) I will use embossing folders, but could use them more. I have a lot of them (& some never used, of course!).

    Love the way you colored this beautiful image, and the die cut coffee cup is a perfect embellishment!

    Beautiful card Holley. That lace is a really nice way of grounding/anchoring the image isn't it. Fab stamp and design. I love embossing folders. Had a challenge blog for embossing folders for a couple of years but suspended it recently when life got busy. Hugz

    Your coloring is lovely! I tend to forget about my embossing folders but I'm trying to use them more. It's such an easy way to add so much dimension to a card.

    This is another Perfect card, love your coloring, and coffee!! I do like embossing folders, probably don't use them enough. Love the coffee theme emboss and cut you treated me too several years ago!

    Yes - I use embossing folders all the time. I think they can take a card up another level and there are several different techniques that can be done with them making them a good a good investment IMO.

    Awww, this is adorable! Your colouring is beautiful, Holley, especially of her hair! I struggle with colouring hair. Beautiful lace and fun die-cuts too! What a great coffee card! I love using embossing folders and it's probably one of my favourite techniques, especially on a white background. It's so simple but adds lots of texture. Love them!
