I adore you

As you guessed by now, it's all love theme this week.  Woo Hoo. Here's a cutie from Notturno Digi arts.  I love this artist's whimsical images.  She has the cutest girls, great animals, and fun things like skulls too.  Check out her stuff if you like (HERE).  I am using some interesting (at least I think it is) lace on this card today.

Question of the day: do you use wood block stamps?  sometimes never?  only if it's your absolute favorite topic?

I must confess I will still occasionally buy a wood mounted stamp if it's an image I really really want!

  3. Fun image and pretty lace!
I do love my wood mounted stamps! Like you mentioned, I will also still buy them if it's an image I really like. I'm trying to use them more often lately, and I love looking through the ones I have so I can select just the right design for my project.

  4. Pretty colour and pretty lace.
I have removed all the images from my wood block stamps, as they were taking up too much room!

  13. That IS interesting lace! Yes, I still use my wood mounted stamps. I have stamps shelves on which to display them for easy selection. I also use unmounteds in both red rubber and the clear acrylics and keep them in binders.

  15. So cute Holley! I use all kinds of stamps. I have unmounted ALL of my wood mounted stamps so I can use them in my Misti and Tim Holtz Stamping Platforms and they are a lot easier to store unmounted from the blocks.

  21. What a cute card! I love that wooden heart!
I rarely use wood block stamps because I like to be able to restamp an image if it doesn't come out perfect the first time. I use my MISTI a lot, and mounted stamps won't work on stamping platforms, so I generally avoid them

  22. Gorgeous card. That lace is so pretty. I rarely use wood block stamps any more but they do stamp beautifully. Mostly it's because of storage and postage issues. I am thinking of taking them off the wood blocks. Hugz

    THanks for sharing!
I use a combination of both wood bloacked staps and unmounted stamps. Both have pros & cons.

  29. So cute, love the wooden heart too.
I have some wooden block stamps, but hardly use them, I think I am going to put them on mount so I can use them in my stamping platform, so much easier!

  31. Your card is adorable, Holley! Such a cute little girl and I love how you coloured her, especially her hair! Totally adorable! I fell in love with Notturno Digis and have bought a couple of her images as a result of your celebration. I will be making and sharing cards soon, so thank you for telling us about this company. Her cats are precious, and I would be delighted to win digitals from Notturno. As for your question, wood-block stamps are making a big comeback according to some popular YouTube channels that I watch. Red rubber always stamps beautifully, and I still enjoy wood-block stamps (although I realize they are too expensive to be mailed to Canada). I am so happy I kept all of my old wood-mounted stamps even though they take up a lot of space in my room. Have a fun day, Holley!

  34. Cute card! I love the idea of celebrating Valentines for more than one day. I have quite a few wooden stamps, but prefer the clear cling ones. They take the guesswork out of image placement.

  35. So cute. I do use wooden stamps. If it's an image I want to use and it's on a block. I also love back ground stamps on the block. Makes it easier to stamp other things besides just paper.
