Bag Me

Here's a great image from artist Sandra Caldwell that's a brand new stamp in her Etsy store today.  This fun stamp is called Bag Me 1315.  Too cute, it could be used as a purse or an old travel bag image.  I thought it went perfect with this old piece of lace and yellow buttons.

what embellishments are your favorite?
I love lace, buttons, brads, ribbon (in that order too)
then I will add Cardstock stickers or die cuts
I wish I could use more printed papers, but it's so hard for me to add something with too much patterns or colors.

  6. Great color combos! Used to be the "glitter queen but ended up with too much floating in my coffee...lol. Now I use lots of flowers, gems of all sizes and 3-D stickers. Layer a lot of papers, too. Barbara

  7. The monochromatic scheme is perfect for this card. I really like the stamp. I use brads and ribbons more so than other embellishments.

  11. Adorable image, Holley. I love your color palette. My style is more CAS, so I tend to stick with Pearls, rhinestones or a little shimmer to accent creations.

  12. Such a nice card. Love the rustic feel of it. Geat colors and the lace is a nice touch. For embellishments, I prefer bling or pearls, ribbon and buttons

  13. LOVE this image...I had a very similar bag back in the day! All the elements of this card fit together beautifully! My embellishment tastes are so eclectic, and my favorites are always changing. I love to use recycled bits most of all. That being said, I will use whatever I happen to have at hand that strikes my fancy. I do love ribbons and lace, bits of metal, ink and paint, rub ons and anything funky or different.

  14. Ah, Holley, you used one of my favorite embellishments....lace. I've collected quite a bit from church yard sales and I love using it on cards. Good job.

  18. Great image. Lots of possibility.
I know what you mean about pattern pattern but I am forcing myself to use it since I keep buying it. I generally keep my embellishments to a minimum but will use glitter glue, enamel dots, gems and sequins for the most part when I use them.

  19. I am with you. I have a very hard time with patterns. I can't do too busy. I love that cool bag. Wish I had one just like it to hold all of my stuff. I'm still sticking with glitter and my favorite embellishment. I usually use what strikes me at the moment. But I don't do bulky because it is hard to send cards that way.

  20. Lovely card. I usually go for flowers, ribbons/lace and bling first. Buttons, brads and chipboard embellishments are then considered depending on the type of card I'm making.

  23. Such a fun and versatile image, Holley. I use enamel dots all the time with ribbon coming in second. Oh, and flowers are nice as well, and maybe some buttons. I should use sequins and brads more since I have a lot of them. So, well, everything I guess!

  25. Oh, I love the way you use so many different supplies on your cards Holley. I would never think to use a piece of leather, but how perfect!! I don't use that many embellishments actually, and especially not bulky ones. I don't even use buttons on the whole, because I can't seem to figure out how to keep them from falling off of my projects. My favorites are probably enamel dots, small rhinestones and pearls, twine (I love twine!), I've also been having a lot of fun with die cuts lately and seem to use them more and more often. I also seem to use more solid card stock than patterned papers but am trying my best to stretch and use more of it.

  34. The buttons and that lace look wonderful with your bag, and I love the natural colors that you used. My go-to embellishments are usually grosgrain ribbon, rhinestones, small brads, bakers twine, and Stickles. I also like to add stamping on most of my projects. I don't use wood, metal or buttons on my cards because it's too hard to mail
