School girl

So excited to have a wonderful image today from Paper Nest Dolls!  Isn't this little girl so very cute? she's called Maddie with Glasses. You can check out her images at her store for rubber stamps:  http://stamps.the-papernest.com/

I have a wonderful digi prize today from this company

They also have a  challenge blog, it's HERE.

Question of the day,  do you like clear or rubber stamps? both? neither?

I almostly always used red rubber stamps, I don't use many clear stamps.  I am about 80% digi now.

  2. Good morning Holley. Love that cute image and your use of buttons is awesome. No, really, I have loads of buttons and really struggle to add them to projects. Love how you used these here. I love stamps. I think rubber is best but many companies make clear and I have no problem with those. They are much easier to see where you are stamping LOL. I am not a digi fan so call me 100% real stamps. Hope you have a splendid day. Hugz

  3. Such a cutie. I tend to prefer clear stamps. I like being able to see what I am doing.

  4. Since red is my fave color, I'm totally in love with this card! The buttons framing the cute image is brilliant with the matching dots on the ribbon beneath. Great coloring, too. I have tons of rubber, but not so many clear. Still I find digis easier. I even bought a Misti to try and use my physical stamps more, but I prefer the options you have with digis. Hope you ave a great weekend. xxD

  6. I love everything about this card and you know I am not usually into cute, but she is adorable. It took me a while to catch onto using clear stamps but I do like them now. I use both clear and red rubber stamps, preferring the real rubber but if I like an image that only comes in clear, I buy that. They both work for me!

  7. What a cute card! The buttons are the perfect touch. I use both kinds of stamps. The clear are easier to store, but not all companies are equal with their quality. I do like being able to see where I’m stamping, especially on a two-step image.

  8. Happy weekend, Holley! What a cute card, it's so fun! I really love the feel of rubber stamps as they are so sturdy but quite hard to get the placement perfect sometimes. Clear stamps can be flimsy but you have more control. I love both! <3 x

  9. Your little girl is so cute with her glasses and polka dotted paper!
I prefer clear stamps so I can see what I am doing, LOL! I still buy rubber stamps if I love the image though. I like that digital stamps are resizable. So, I guess I love them all!

  10. I, too, have lost most of my interest in rubber stamps. Even my acrylics are gathering dust now and then. I'm mostly digital as well. Holley, your card is cute. That image is so sweet. I'll have to visit Paper Nest Girls more often!

  13. Adorable image Holley!

I love rubber! I probably have more clear stamps. I like them well enough. I rarely use digi because I have to go downtown to the library to print, and it's a difficult trip for me.

  17. Love your card. Great use of buttons. My first preference is digital stamps though I still buy both rubber and clear. I like the clear stamps much better since I learned to condition them before first use. A stamp positioner platform also makes them easier to use.

  22. People have given me digi stamps but due to the process and fail of my current printers, I don't use them. I have phased out most of my rubber stamps and am mostly getting clear stamps. I have 5 of Nest Dolls in the red rubber as exceptions though. She has a fun company and met them at a Stamp convention here in Florida.

  32. This is just adorable Holley and I love her little glasses! She reminds me of one of my granddaughters. I love clear and rubber stamps both. Clear stamps are handky for exact placement but rubber often gives a crisper image.

  33. I just love all those buttons and this cute little bookworm! I have two little girls who love books so this one is a thumbs up. I like just about any kind of stamp, except for digi stamps.

  34. She is a cutie patootie...love the addition of buttons. I have gotten an interest in buttons lately

  35. She is a delight. Love her curly hair.

I have to say my preference is for clear stamps as you can see where you are placing the image. I use stamps to add texture for backgrounds and I certainly then prefer clear stamps or I have to mask areas just in case I position the rubber stamps in the wrong place.

    Take care, Kym

  36. What a great image. Perfect for a Fun Friday School Card. I have pretty much gone over to the "Clear Side" with clings and acrylics. I have many wood mounted and a few unmounted red rubber stamps and my experience has been they are still the best for image transfer. But, so many companies are shifting to clear stamps, now. Hugs, Barbara

  37. This sweet image reminds me of my niece!
I mostly use clear stamps but that is because the company I buy most of my Stamps from only has clear stamps.

  41. Another adorable card! Such a cute imae! I prefer red rubber stamps, like those at Unity, but I also like good quality clear stamps.

  42. OMG!! This is so cute. Love how you positioned the image around the polka dots and then carried the design through the solid layer with the buttons. I like both clear and rubber. Especially now that I have a MISTI. No more issues with the clear not leaving a clean image.

  43. What a sweet card. I like both, but have been using more of the clear stamps lately.

I am more into clear stamps. I used to use more digis, but now I just don't find the time to play with them :)
