I thought this was a powerful saying for what many of us may be facing, "Take the first step in Faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase just take the first step." - Martin Luther King Sometimes it can be very hard to take that first step, esp for things like Brain Surgery. I will regularly get calls from my doctor who asks me to speak with other patients who are facing the decision of surgery or who maybe just want someone to talk to. It's not something I would ever push someone else into, but I can tell them how fortunate my experience has been and how amazing that doctor is.

ReplyDeleteHolley- I love your card and it is wonderful that you are helping others. My favorite stamp company is Stampin Up but I also love jillibean, unity, hero arts, Taylor expressions and the stamps Bella skinny girl stamps! I don't have a favorite digi stamp artist. They are all nice.

Wow, been busy and can't believe I've gone so long without checking the blog! But between taking care of my mom and starting German classes there's been little time. Now to relax and enjoy!! My ultimate favorites are A Day for Daisies, Polkadoodles, Sheepski, Sandra Caldwell, the East Wind, Bloobel, Oddball Art, and too many to name. Of course, designing for Scribbles and Ike's Art, I adore their images to pieces!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this card. The sentiment is awesome and always love inspirational sentiments. I have a hard time saying which company I love the most but I have definitely been connected with Unity because I feel that it is so much more to me than just about stamps!

Oh, I love that sentiment! How wonderful too that you can help other patients make an informed choice when it comes to treatment options. I know that being able to speak to someone who's gone through the procedure is really helpful to them.
ReplyDeleteLet's see, my favorite stamp companies are a long long list! I love Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant (although I still don't have any of their stamps), Sugar Pea designs, House Mouse, Graphic 45, Unity, and Tim Holtz.
I don't use digi stamps, since I don't have a printer.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card and sentiment! That is so nice that you visit with people facing the same surgery as yours. It’s great that your doctor his patients like that. I use mostly StampinUp stamps, but like Hero Arts, Tim Holtz, and any company whose images appeal to me.

ReplyDeleteThat would be difficult to take that first step. I'm having trouble taking that first step to get my dogs teeth pulled so really can't imagine what it took to go through with the surgery, although I know seizures are scary in themself.

ReplyDeleteI didn't play with digital images. I have lot of stamps and it is hard to say which is my most favorite. Love to play with Uniko, Mudra stamps, Stamplorations stamps, Unity, Hero Arts and soooo many!
My favorite stamp company? That's a tough one! There are sooooo many out there! LOL!! I know one of my ultimate favorites would probably have to be Unity! They have so many amazing stamps! I really love your card too! I am sooo loving her wings!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite stamp company changes depending on my theme! Florals must be Altenew, miscellaneous images is usually Stampendous, AI Watercolor stamps are gorgeous for making scenes and I am starting to use a lot of Spellbinders stamps too. TFS!

ReplyDeleteLovely card and sentiment. I use a lot of digi-stamps when I want to do colouring - Dragons Lair Designs is a company I have lots of. The stamps I've bought lately have been silhouette ones from Inkilicious, but I do like the ones that build up an image layer on layer, such as the watercolour look flowers. Can't remember the brand of them. Not keep on sentiment stamps because I don't do English cards. Also not keen on the big eyed girls unless they are well coloured by somebody else.

I like a lot of stamp companies and some of my favorites are Tim Holtz, My Favorite Things, Mama Elephant, Hero Arts, Stampendous and House Mouse Designs, and Stamin Up. I also enjoy Unity Stamps and Graphic 45. I don't use digi stamps or religious images. Oh, and don't use stamps of children because most of my cards are for seniors.

This is a super sentiment for sure! Love how the lace is perfect for the image, too. Favorite digis are Aurora Wings, Sandra Caldwell, Oddball, and I"m really missing Bloobel. Regular stamps, Stampotique (even though they are wood mounted) and the Oddballs from Stamping Bella. Love quirky in general. (Big surprise! LOL) xxD
ReplyDeleteI love this card!! Its Beautiful!! I agree there is alot of scary stuff in this world and we just have to commit to that first step. I just moved back home. All the way across the country. It was huge to just give it all up but Time has become so much more important these days. Time to spend with loved ones. As much as a brand new journey it is. I took the first step, even if I didnt have much of a plan. I love Unity, SumMoreFun/Raisin Boat, Stampendous, Tim Holtz,Andy Skinner and many more. I dont have a favorite digi compamy as I still dont use digis, but I love some of the ones you shared.
