BFF

Sharing the cutest image from Tiddly inks today.  I love this cute rabbit.  I used BFF because I feel like I am making a bunch of BFFs after getting to know everyone so well this month!  Thanks so much for celebrating with me! I am so very thankful to be here and be celebrating again this year.  HUGE thanks to Dr Aboumatar!  He's the best.

Question of the day?

what do you not use?

for me, usually alphabets, chipboard, huge bling (like those beautiful spirals, I love their look but always get frustrated adding them to my card), sometimes I shy from transfers as well.

Is your name in blue on the winner list? Then I need your address!  htondre@aol.com

  2. Cute card!!! The bunny is darling! I do shy away from chipboard, and my luck with transfers is low...if you are talking about those arranged rhinestones in a pattern I am with ya, sister! Hmm, what else? Well that is all that I can think of now, toodles for now! :)

  3. Cute card!!
I use everything I have. Sometimes I am sorry to use some kind of decoration, lace or sticker, but I break myself because I am sure that this particular decoration is what is needed for this postcard, work ..

  4. Oh my gosh, this is just so cute! I love the adorable image and all that pink works together perfectly. Thank you for hosting this wonderful celebration Holley, and for trying to get to know our likes and dislikes. This is a lot of work for you and I appreciate it.
I also don't use alphabets, nor do I use bulky embellishments , since I mail most of my cards. Flat stickers, or large chipboard embellishments, and buttons are also not something that make it onto most of my cards. Of course, when I first started card making, I bought everything. Then, over the years, I've realized that I don't use at least half of it, so am more careful to buy what I'll actually use. That's probably true of many of us, right?
My style now is more clean and simple, although I can also get into lots of layers, as long as they aren't bulky.

  5. She and her bunny friend are the cutest!!! Such a sweet image and card Holley!!! Buttons is something I don't normally use. I have in the past.. But not much of a button girl. Even though...you use them well. And I enjoy seeing them on cards. I just don't really use them. Huge bling or a lot of glitter also not my thing. I do like the spiral bling and have used it before. Think I may have cut it up to make it smaller when I did though.

  6. What a darling card! Love the girl and that sweet bunny!
Things I don't tend to use on my cards... large or thick embellishments.

  7. This is one of the cutest images I've seen recently and your card is so darling.
I don't tend to use large or heavy embellishments like wood or metal, buttons, and things like mini clothespins. I also don't use glitter because it gets everywhere! I have a lot of regular stickers but never use them anymore, except on envelopes. Ribbon is something I have a lot of and also don't use often enough.

I bought some alphabet stamps years ago, but found that I can't stamp them straight, so that's yet another unused item. I find that my style is more simple than when I began, and I use less embellishment now.

  15. Adorable image. I do not use any thick embellishment. Nor do I use steam punk or scientific things.

  16. That little bunny is so cute! I don't use thick embellishments as I mail most of the cards I make. I learned that lesson the first year I made Christmas cards. I made 5x7 cards with lots of layers and was blissfully unaware of how much it would cost to send them :) Now I use flatter things like enamel dots, glitter pen and thinner foam pop dots. I see from everyone's comments that this is a common theme. I'm sorry the month of celebration is almost over. It's been fun to read everyone's comments and see your cards each day.

  17. Ahhhh! This card is the sweetest! I don't use glitter or glitter glue very often. I end up with blobby mess on my projects. Lol

  18. Super cute card! Holley, you must have quite the spreadsheet to keep track of everyone's likes, dislikes and preferences. Your must be very organized. I don't use chipboard, stickers or much in the way of glue on embellishments. I have it but don't use it. I do add some of it in shakers as a way of using it up.

  21. Sweet image and I adore all of the pink, my favourite colour! I also love the pretty bow and gorgeous lace! I think the only thing I don't use is bulky embellishments and that even includes buttons these days. I mail all my cards and the postage costs are crazy. At the post office they slide my cards through a slot and if they don't slide through easily, it costs more. I've been making my cards flatter for the last couple years so I can mail more out! Hope you're having a great day today and that things are going much better in Texas after the power outage. We have sunshine and blue skies for the second day in a row so I'm looking forward to a nice walk!

  22. Hi Holley - love your card! I love the lace! You need to make a junk journal with all the beautiful lace and embellishments that you have! I use just about everything in one way or another! I have so many craft projects in the works and even more in my head!

    ReplyDelete
  23. This card is very spring-y! Well done!

I don't really do the greeting card thing much, so I don't really use holiday themed stamps much. I make mostly art cards, art pieces and junk journals. I also HATE glitter. I almost never use the stuff. A friend sent me a set of 6 tiny pots of it 5 years ago, and I've barely touched it. If you didn't know any better you'd think it was brand new.#glitterisevil LOLOL

  24. Fabulous card! I love the composition and wonderful textures. I don't find myself using chipboard shapes, glitter, stickers or buttons.

  25. Hey Holly, I have had such a blast reading all the comments from such artsy people. I have gotten great ideas which I am ALWAYS in need of. Normally I don't use much pink but your card is so sweet. Love the embellies and of course the lace is exquisite. I have been adding more lace to my cards since following your blog...grinning. Like many of the comments here I try and limit the thickness of my cards. I don't use chipboard at all or wooden decorations. I do like glitter and embossing powder but never have a cup of coffee on my table when using anything fluttery. Not fond of sparkles in my coffee....lol. I also don't use strings of beads or large beads. I do use gem flourishes quite a bit but applying them does slow me down. I do use button accents as well as smaller sized charms. Gosh, I didn't realize all the "stuff" I put on my cards....rolling eyes.

Your February celebrations have been and still are the most fun. But the best part is knowing how well you are now. Sure hope you get to visit Turkey again this year. Life is good. Hugs, Barbara

  27. What an adorable card again!!! Love it in pink!!!
I don't use loose glitter (anymore!!) since I had a bottle thrown on the ground, took weeks before all glitter was gone, LOL. everytime I found some more spots !

  28. What a cute image!! Love the larger bunny & his adorable ears. Love all the pink, too! Very pretty. All the things you mentioned, I have in my stash, but don't tend to use either. I have a lot of buttons and ribbons and rarely use them. I have a LOT of 'stuff' in my stash ... TOO much stuff. lol I could live to be 1,000 years and still not be able to use it all. *sigh*

  31. Squeal!! That image is making me happy and the pink is making my little girl smile too! It's funny that several posters mentioned that they read what others say in answer to your question because I thought I was the only one who did that. It's fun to see what seems to be popular with other card makers and crafters these days. Looks like a lot of us stopped using thick and heavy embellishments, as postage costs have gone up. I could never get them to stick to my cards, so that's another reason I don't use them. Although I love tiny rhinestones, the big ones are always left over. Fabric flowers are beautiful but not on my cards either. My favorite embellishments are always flat, like washi tape, enamel dots and thin chipboard.
Thanks for an awesome month of celebration and thank you to the doctors that made you better!

  38. Pretty in Pink! Love the sweet scene! Don't use stickers. No hateful images. No skulls, Halloween, Witches and the like. No buttons, brads, or eyelets because I own all I will ever need! LOL!!! I also, don't like large florals because I own so many.

    ReplyDelete
  39. That's so adorable, love the image with pretty embellishments!
Well, I do not like stickers, skulls or Halloween type elements.

  40. That is such an adorable card, Holley! Love those huge ears on the bunny. Love the pink and the pretty lace.
I used to get frustrated with those swirly blingy flourishes, too. Then I discovered the secret of smoothing a piece of Press n Seal adhesive plastic wrap over the flourish before peeling off the acetate film backing. The Press n Seal keeps the little rhinestones or pearls in place while I transfer it to the place on my card that I intend. Then I just press it in place on the card. Voila. Perfectly placed and no lost blingy pieces! :)
Along with everyone else, I don't use super-bulky things...few buttons or large pearls/rhinestones, etc.
