Here's a darling image using a stamp from Tiddly Inks. I do adore her cute digi stamps. I thought this one was just perfect for February. I also added some yummy Turkish lace to go with it. I just love being in Turkey and shopping for such gorgeous laces and ribbons too. Such fun! There's store after store after store. It's amazing in the lace district. WOW. A crafter's dream. Lucky they don't have a stamp district, lol!

She's cute but I love the hedgie!!!! I do love your incredible lace collection. Right now I am wild about May Arts twine, and Nuvo drops, and I just got some Nuvo aqua shimmer....I love epoxy dots and sequins too. :)

The girl and hedgie are so cute! Beautiful card, Holley! My favourite embellishments are those that don't add bulk, since I mail my cards, and bulk adds to postage costs. So I like sequins, gems, and die-cuts.

Gosh, embellishments....Flowers are probably tops, then I love tiny gems, brads that are different, shaped buttons and die cuts of all kinds. ReplyDeleteHi Holley- that card is so cute! I love hedgehogs!!! My all time favorite embellishments are bling! Sequins or rhinestones or pearls or buttons that you attach with glue dots! They just add that little extra special something to cards!

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the lace district when I was in Turkey, but I did find a "bead" district and I came home with a big bag of different beads and charms. I'd be in a big trouble if I found a lace district or if there was a stamp district too...

As far as my favourite embellishments goes, I have to say those are flowers. I use them all the time. But I love ribbon and lace as well. Oh, and pearls.
Adorable card! The image is so cute and the lace is the perfect touch. I have several favorite embellishments: rhinestone bling in any color, pearls, sequins, twine and ribbon. Using the smaller versions of these makes the card easy to mail, and gives the perfect finishing touch.

ReplyDeleteI use lots of different kinds of embellishments. Some of my favorites are: sequins, dew drops, flowers, leaves, ephemera die cuts, lace, doilies, adhesive gems and pearls, photo corners, 3D stickers, brads, etc. Almost anything will find its way onto a card for me! I do not use much ribbon or many buttons....but I should!! Ha.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite embellishments these days are handmade. I've been making little layered clusters with scraps of papers, fabrics and other materials with a tiny stamp or button or charm on the front. Also dangly charms, envelopes, pockets with cards and many other bits. I'm not really making so many ATCs anymore, but I am making journal type books, so anything that's old and can be recycled.
I love that Tiddly Inks image, I have it in my collection too. I think the embellishment I use most are enamel dots. I do like the Nuvo drops I've seen on card though I don't have any in my stash. I think sequins are quite pretty too.

ReplyDeleteThis image is just adorable, and that hedgie is just as cute as the girl! The lace that you add to your cards always takes it up a notch, but it would be hard for me to part with it because it's so beautiful. My favorite embellishments are enamel dots, small flat brads, twine, and tiny rhinestones. I like flat embellishments, since I mail most of my cards, and tend to make most of mine.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! I have so many embellishments that I don't remember to use. Lately I'm making it a point to add some to every couple of cards. I used some Nuvo drops and clear drops from Studio Katia a couple of weeks ago.

I love the extra bit of sparkle and they last forever and never dry out. I also use washi tape, sequins and burlap string. Love your card!

ReplyDeleteWhat a CUTE card!! I am a sucker for cute critters anyway, but this is super adorable. As for my favorite embellishments, I guess those would be epoxy shapes, grosgrain ribbon, jute twine, and hemp ribbon. I also love adding small rhinestones and pearls every now and again.

ReplyDeleteThis card is great. Love the image. I"m not sure what my favorite embellishments are anymore. I used to love shaped brads. Now, I think I like flat flowers, and 3d stickers, word stickers, gems. Usually something that doesn't stick up off the card too much, so that it is easy to mail.
