p.s. Thanks for everyone who inquired about my safety due to the storms in Texas. they have been horrible and I have never seen snow like this ever in my life. It's again snowing today for the third day in this week this is probably the third time in my life that I've ever seen snow and the accumulation is shocking. Fortunately my power has come back on so I am at the moment happy without water but safe, without food in the fridge because of the outage, but lucky to have food in the pantry. Thanks so much for checking on me big hugs Holley

I like the colours of the card your shared today. So bright and positive.
Well, pretty much all my hobbies are craft related. Besides papercrafts I also like to make jewelry out of polymer clay and beads. I would also like to learn to sew and crochet.

  4. I'm so glad that you're okay Holley. I thought of you when I saw all the terrible photos of the storms and power outages. At least it looks like the power is on in most places, but still a lot that needs to be dealt with. Hugs to you...stay safe!
As for hobbies, I don't have a lot of time for hobbies, with 3 young kids. However, I do like to bake, a little bit of simple sewing, and seems like I'm always painting rooms or changing the decor around here.

  8. I wondered if I knew anyone in Texas, I had no idea you were there. I am so sorry you are going through this. We lose our power occasionally here in Nova Scotia so I can relate, usually once ot twice a year. The longest was 5 days in the middle of winter, it was a nightmare. It gets so cold here. Please try to stay warm and stay well. I just prayed for you. Your card is sweet! My other craft hobby is making journals.

  19. Love your coloring and this color scheme. Sometimes I like to do crochet or loom knitting (simple stuff) and cross stitching or embroidery. I love to take photos am dying to get into gel press, which circles back to cardmaking and scrapbooking. :) I used to paint with oils long ago and that's something I am thinking about pursuing again some day.

  21. So thankful you are safe and the power is back on. My gracious, I can't remember ever seeing such images of Texas.

Your card is sooooo perfect for today's world. I think we have all had to redraw our lines over the last year. What a blessing to have Sandra as such a good friend.

I have crafted all my adult life starting when I was only a "tadpole"....lol. I used to paint (acrylics and watercolors) but now most of my crafting is with fiber, textiles and paper....crochet, knit, sew, create cards. I also enjoy reading and puttering in my downsized gardens. As I read the posts it is wonderful to see so many others engaged in crafty endeavors. Definitely a lovely and talented group of people. Blessings, Barbara

  29. Very cute card!! So sorry you dealing with the bad weather. Its crazy. Praying it will be over soon. Sending hugs your way. I do a lot of different crafts. I do mixed media on canvas, gnome houses, wreaths (just made a horse head one for Christmas) sock gnomes, decor bottles using clay, I make flowers out of aluminium cans, I crochet at times, and so many more. I like challenging myself to see if I can make things Ive seen or just to create something new.

  30. So cute! I love the saying, image and lace!

I have been making junk journals the last year or so. I also quilt, make charms and some jewelry. I have painted and made monoprints and still do occasionally. Many interests and many hobbies.

  31. Love the sentiment and image on your card! I forgot that you were in TX... I imagine you have had your hands full with all the snow and the power outages, etc! Stay safe!
I have dabbled in several other crafts in the past, but none that really held my interest for any length of time. I did just a bit of quilting, beading, stained glass... but not enough to accomplish much! I did enjoy a bit of napkin art for awhile too, making some very pretty decoupaged and glittered eggs.

  32. What a great sentiment, and one that really resonates. I really hope that you have clean water by now, or very soon. What an ordeal you and many others have been through. I feel so fortunate to have mild winters, and all the essentials. We are currently without water to our kitchen, due to a leaking dishwasher that required pulling up all the floors and having a company come in to run fans and dehumidifiers for a week. Now comes the job of repairing cabinets, replacing drywall and floors etc. So, I have a taste of it...but without the bitter cold and loss of electricity.
My other hobbies are reading (just a bookworm from childhood), organizing my craft supplies (ha!), and sewing once in awhile. I've pretty much tried all the usual crafts but the one that's stuck is papercrafting.

  37. You've always made such great cards with Sandra's images. It looks like you may have dug into your stash of Turkish lace again for this beauty of a card. I'm glad that you're safe. Another stamping friend of mine was without electricity and water for several days. Let's pray this is the last of this crazy weather! Stay safe!

I also tinker with dollhouses & miniature scenes. My grandkids love to do any type of crafts with me like making cards for the local nursing home residents. I also make wreaths and other holiday decorations.
