So, after saying that, let's have a short contest today, when you leave a comment, tell me your favorite Teddy bear character, be it a TV character, a book character, a stamp character, child's toy, just as long as it is a teddy bear....which is your favorite? I am going to be out of town tomorrow, but will pick a winner from those who leave a comment as soon as I get back. Will have to figure out some bear-y appropriate prize for the winner!!! As for me, man, that's a tough choice, my immediate choice is Winnie the Pooh, but let me think about this for a day...SEE THE WINNERS FOR THIS CONTEST BY LOOKING AT THE COMMENTS!!
Also--if you haven't signed up for the huge blog candy contest that is going on--be sure to scroll down to Feb 14th and sign up!! New winners are added daily!

Hi Holley. That is very cute Bear. My favorite Bear will be Panda bear. I like his white fluffy furr, with black spots. I think they are super adorable. But my very, very favorite teddy is my 6 years old Son. I olways call him MY TEDDY BEAR.
ReplyDeleteI like your game. Have a wonderful day .
Hugs Nataliya
Cute card Holley! My favorite Teddy bear is one my MIL gave to my DS-she had saved it for years and finally had someone to give it to. It has a birthday had and plays "happy birthday to you." He loves it so it is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI think Winnie the Pooh has been a favorite of mine for years.

ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card Holley, TFS, I've enjoyed visiting! Jo x
ReplyDeleteBeary nice card Holley. I didn't have a teddy as a toy when I was a child. My grandmother used to make rag dolls for me and my sister. I got to watch a lot of cartoons with my daughter ( she would insist I sit with her). So Winnie the pooh is my favorite teddy bear. I like his absentminded wisdom. I have bought lots of winnie stamps after starting card making.
ReplyDeleteHolley, that is a beary cute card. hehe
ReplyDeleteMy favorite bear would most definitely have to be my Teddy Ruxpin from when I was a kid. I didn't have the best family, and I didn't get to spend a lot of time with anyone so no one ever really read to me or watched tv with me. until my little brother was born when I was almost 5, i was pretty much on my own and very much a loner. Teddy Ruxpin wasn't put on shelves in stores until 1985, which I was 7 at that time. I still had a problem with socializing with others and even at home I really didn't like to be around anyone. my grandma had gotten me a Teddy Ruxpin and I fell in love with it the minute i opened the package! with the bear I got five cassette tapes. I tell ya i wore those tapes out pretty quickly. my grandma kept batteries on hand and I took Teddy Ruxpin everywhere with me that I went. I would lay in bed for hours at night having him read me stories!
One day I went to school and I shoved him in my backpack. I came back in from recess and he wasn't there. i was devastated. it turned out that we weren't supposed to bring toys to school so my grandma had to go to the office to pick him up that day when she got me from school.
even at 8 years old, I would still take him everywhere with me. I still had my original Teddy Ruxpin until i was about 15 or so. I haven't yet broke down and bought another one but i really should! he was for the most part of my young life, my beary best friend!
Definitely Winnie the Pooh! I even remember having Pooh Bear footy pajamas when I was 6. I guess I got attached to him through my Mom reading me the stories. My kids are huge fans too!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, he's so cute!!!!! Darling!!! I love the bears from Penny Black stamps, so adorable.... but my favorite bear of all time is one that I sewed from one of those printed panels, it was blue, and I slept with it for years, till it just wore out and shredded... Darling card Holley.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite bear is little Paddington bear, he is so cute.
Paddington Bear has always been my favorite. I still have a bear and some other decorative items with him on them. Pooh is a close second though. I relate well to his fluff filled brain. lol
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, Holley!! On my 16th birthday, my girlfriends decorated my locker and gave me a pair of koalas. I still have them!!! I got a chance to see and hold a real koala when i went with my church's youth group to World Youth Days in Australia. I was very blessed to be chosen as a chaperone for our teen pilgrims on that trip. Thanks for being so generous!
ReplyDeleteit would have to be boo boo bear, yogi's side-kick...the smarter one!
ReplyDeleteCute card Holley great sentiment you used on the card!
ReplyDeleteWow it's so hard to pick a favorite bear after all the famous ones that we grew up with.
But I guess it really has to be my homemade one that grandma made outta fake fur that looks like a Panda Bear it's pretty worn out with hardly any fur these days and might even have a missing eye, but it just shows that it was well loved & cherished by a small child.
Thanks for the fun blog games!

I'm a Winnie the Pooh person! When my children were young, I so adored him everywhere. Now my great grandchildren have grown up with him too! So he's on my sb pages continually!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Beary big treat Holley.
ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you, Holley. You're full of wonderful surprises. :)
ReplyDeleteAAAHHHHH! Sweet card. Every teddy is my favorite. For Christmas my husband gave me the panda pillow pet. Bamboo.is getting into everything. I have dozens of pictures of him. One of us sets him up for the others to find. So far Bamboo has gotten into my jewlery, Torn open a box of See's candy. Spent way to much time on the computers. H took daddy's running clothes out for a run. And took a shower and borrowed mom's towel and head wrap.
