Here's the cutest image from artist Sandra Caldwell of Babycakes DND on Etsy combined with some gorgeous matching papers of Paper Temptress. This adorable image is called Mummy Bunny 298. I just adore this Hambly Overlay with the bow ties. How fun is that?
Here's a close up of the image itself. Just too much fun. All of Sandra's images are so unique and original.
All the papers on this card come from the Paper Temptress store. The base of the card is a gorgeous bright pink called Pop Tones Razzle Berry. I then cute out a white frame for the image using Neenah Solar White Classic Crest, the same paper that I used to print out my image. First I layer the frame down on the paper using pop dots and then I added a fun Hambly Studios Overlay. I just adore this particular one, it's called Pink Bow Ties. I even cut out one of the bow ties and put in on the bunny (note the difference between the bunny on the card and the bunny on the colored image).
For a secondary question, what's your favorite crafting store? your favorite online craft store?

This is fabulous Hollie, what a great image. Here in the UK I mainly shop online, although I do use a local craft shop called Craftasmic. For pens I use Cult Pens online shop and I buy digi stams from lots of places! Sending an email now :-) Cathy x
ReplyDeleteLove the cute bow on this fab image!
ReplyDeleteI mostly purchased from my country Indian online store because international shipping is too much and can't afford but sometime I love to purchased from YNS and Altenew online store!

My favourite online shops are Anna Marie Designs, HobbyArt and Noor! Designs UK. If I ever go to the USA I really want to go to Michaels! Creative Blessings, Tracy x
ReplyDeleteVery fun card and I love, love, love that you gave the *recipe* for it!! If I need something today I run to A.C. Moore, online? I always check ebay first just cuz it's fun, then Fran the Frantic Stamper or VLVS.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!! I am trying not to shop but use what I have.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the overlays. They ARE adorable! This card is very cute! The image is not something I would choose, but you have done a great job with it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite stores to buy art supplies are Dick Block and Hobby Lobby. We don't have and actual scrapbook stores around here any more. My favorite online stores are way too many to list...lol!

Super cool colouring on that great Bunny Holley :-D
ReplyDeleteLiving in Greece, I have to buy everything on line as I have no craft shops here. I like The Craft Barn, The Craft Superstore, but I use many different ones.

Love the way you colored the "Mummy Bunny 298" focal image. The layering of papers is pretty cool too. Like the bow tie paper. This could almost be used as a Get Well Card. I like shopping as Michaels Arts & Crafts Store and also use Paper Wishes as my online store.
ReplyDeleteVirginia Montagna
Nice card but nt in me style. My favorite on line store are Na strychu, Scrapek and Scrap Cafe (form polish ones) and from strore abriad Nellie Snellen and Craft Stash
ReplyDeleteGreat card, love the pink and the image is so funky. Hugs Jennifer xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous coloring on this super cute image! Love the bows and how you've added one to his neck. I prefer a local Craft Store (Richard's) but it recently moved a bit farther away. Online it's wherever catches my eye (and has a sale. LOL) xxD
ReplyDeleteThis bunny card is Yummy! Love Sandra's take on life! I shop Hobby Lobby when I'm out and about, scrapmart online.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card and love the bunny. I have sent you an email too.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks
Linda xxx
Love the funny bunny. I shop at the normal hobby stores and Tuesday Morning. When I find an item that I want, I usually google it and go with the company with the best rating and price. I am a regular at PaperWishes.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable card, love the extra bowtie too. As for store, it would have to be De Serres, because really the only one close enough. online stores depends what i am looking for but mostly for supplies I spend a lot through Stampin Up, for ribbon and card stock, flowers i get from Wild Orchid, and of course digital stamps, from a few artists.
ReplyDeleteLove this card. My favorite store is probably my LSS Inspiration Station, in Stafgord Springs, CT. The owner is an amazing woman and everyone is so helpful. She has great classes also. Online it depends on what I'm looking for. I love Sherri Baldy's images and shop her store often for new ones.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card Holley, yep the extra bow tie adds just the right touch!
ReplyDelete1. We only have a JoAnn's Fabric store in town which does carry much in the stamping supplies.
2. Online I usually try to bargain shop for best prices and with shipping to Alaska everyone thinks we live in a 3rd world country! LOL But lately it's been Amazon because I have Prime. Sassy Cheryl was my last digital purchase though.
That should say doesn't carry much stamping supplies
Deletemummy bunny looks a bit tied up!!! and yes like the bow tie paper
ReplyDeletePoor bunny. Love all the bow ties.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I am quite partial to Paper Artsy, a UK company
ReplyDeleteHi holley, you are right - this image really is so lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteI just looooove simon says stamp, because they have everything you can wish for. :)
I love this look. I've never tried an overlay on a card. It is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteHow fun and adorable! Love how you used that bow-tie overlay for extra color and pattern! We only have a Michaels craft store in town so that's what I use for last minute shopping or staples. I also shop online on Amazon and Unity stamps
ReplyDeleteOh so cute! My favorite online stores are Dick Blick and Jerry's Artarama because they have such great prices on fine art supplies! I recently ordered Prismacolor Pencils from Jerry's and was amazed by the selection of open stock colors, the super low price and the way the pencils were carefully packaged for delivery.
ReplyDelete<3 Internet shopping <3
That is one poor frazzled bunny for sure! I do most of my craft shopping at JoAnns or Michaels crafts in town and also shop online at various stamp websites, or at Target.
ReplyDeleteWow! Looks like Mummy Bunny needs a crafting vacation!!!!!! Don't really have a favorite crafting store. As far as online, Joanns it my go to. Otherwise I'm looking for the best sale! lol
ReplyDeleteHolley, I think the crafter above me said it right he looks all frazzled and does not know what way to go and looks good with the pink bow. I like JoAnn's Fabric, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Oozak, Amazon, Dick Blick and if I see something by just looking around.
ReplyDeleteThat Mummy Bunny is great - and I love the card you have made- the Bow Tie overlay is
ReplyDeletelovely. Super project.
Another funny card from you Holley. Sometimes I feel like this!
ReplyDeleteI tend to go to Michael's as it's fairly close. Shopping on line is hard to do because of the shipping cost. I would love to shop at Simon Says, Paper Smooches, MFT, and about a 100 other different places. I need something now from 1 store that cost $10.00 but the shipping on it is $7.00. It doesn't weigh that much. Kinda hard to justify purchasing the item. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteThe crazy bunny is soooo cute. I love the overlay. I never would have thought of that.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite craft stores are Michaels, AC Moore and online store is Creative Craft and Unity.
Poor Mummy all wrapped up and no where to go LOL. I love the belly ribbon cute!!! I like to shop our Hobby Lobby and JoAnn Fabrics locally as there are longer any scrapbook shops around me anymore except me and my secret stash and online OH My STARS that is a super tough choice so I say everybody Hee Hee!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never done an overlay before - great idea. We don't have a local scrapbook store anymore, just the chain stores. Fortunately, I have a huge stash to pull from. I've gotten travel specific papers online from Srap Your Trip, but that's it.
ReplyDeleteAwe.. He's so cute. I love how the image is. And I love the overlay of the bow. So cute. And a great idea. My favorite craft store is usually Joannes. I love the deals I can get there. Online would be blitsy right now.
ReplyDeleteOh, he is super cute! I love your card you made! As for craft stores, Michael's is the closest, so I go there if needed. Online, there are a few I like best but mostly purchase from Joann's.
ReplyDeleteS*U*P*E*R Duper ((( CUTE ))) Card!!!
ReplyDeleteI like shopping at JoAnn's.
And shop online at Amazon - Prime is Awesome - FREE Shipping!!!

ReplyDeleteYou always do such an amazing job with Sandra's images. I love how you used this overlay. I rarely use them on cards, but I think I need to change my thinking on this.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite local shop is Colorado Scrappin' & Stamping. The lady that owned it just recently died, so I'm hoping that her husband lets it stay open since the lady that's running it is doing a great job. Online, oh well. That's a long list. Of course all of the digi & stamp companies as well as just about any company that's having a good sale! Lol
Fabulous card Holley. My craft store is Michaels, JoAnn and Tuesday Morning. I shop online at JoAnn and Amazon.
ReplyDeleteOh dear - Mummy Bunny appears to have got herself in a tangle. I can sympathise with her as I'm sure that's what happens to me ever time I try to put ribbon away after working with them. The overlay is a nice addition. I don't have a favourite craft shop locally because my health/disability issues mean I don't go round shops a lot. But I do shop online a lot with Create and Craft being my main course simple because I can see things in use on the TV before I buy. But I also us eBay - to see if I can find stuff cheaper after seeing them on TV.
ReplyDeletemy favorite crafting store is a scrapbook/stamp store that is about an hour drive from my house but it is always worth the drive.

lol love the bunny mummy stamp so cute. my favourite website store is youratcstore.com that is my go to site if I need anything. Since in such a remote area, the only craft closest to me is Michaels in North Bay. I prefer to shop at local craft shops though but there are none in my immediate area.
ReplyDeleteHe's a cutie and very tied up lol
ReplyDeleteOnline I shop from those having a sale usually and there is a Michael's close by so I will get the odd thing there too
Have a wonderful day hugs Nikki
Great card Holley, it made me laugh xx Jan
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable card. Love the bow ties. I tend to buy a lot of my crafty stuff from Simon Says Stamps but on occasion I get some stuff from Amazon. But I do love Paper Temptress paper.
ReplyDeleteA fabulously fun card Holley. The image is brilliant and I love how you used the bow overlay.
ReplyDeleteI tend to buy my supplies from The Range and Hobbycrafts - UK stores or at craft fairs. If I shop online it's usually for digi images and then I use Sherri Baldy's Etsy store and KennyK Stamps a lot but I'll buy anywhere I like an image. I miss Sweet Pea Stamps xx
This image is just adorable. Great coloring as always
ReplyDeletewow! what a poor bunny. NIce colouring. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful....
ReplyDeleteThere is only one paper-craft shop (ABDI) where I can buy here :( that's why that's my favorite one!
I normally buy at Joann's online.
I LOVE this silly bunny, Holley! I shop at Michael's and Hobby Lobby for big box stores. We have two local papercrafting stores that I love, but they are a bit expensive. Online, I order from Blitsy, Simon Says, and Amazon if I need it right away.
ReplyDeleteSilly Bunny! lol Super cute. I like A Cherry on Top
ReplyDeleteFun card, neat papers!
