Here's a totally awesome image from KJ Arting. It's one of her Dia De Los Muertos images. Oh, I totally LOVE these images. LOVE. She has several and they are all awesome. This one is probably my favorite in her store, but I would totally buy more. I thought yellow would be a completely unique color for a dia de los muertos card, esp given this time of year. I am also using some stunning Turkish Lace.
Question of day
What type of die cutting machine do you have? also, what's your favorite season?
me: sizzix Big Shot, Cuttlebug, old red sizzix and one of those tiny sizzix that I never use
I use the cuttlebug most of the time and the big shot for everything the cuttlebug doesn't cut well or is too large for the cuttlebug

This is so beautiful and love the designer lace with polka dotted paper!
ReplyDeleteI have Big shot in teal blue without it I never imagine, perfect for everything, much love! I love Spring season most because of the fresh smell of flowers and Everywhere fields become full of new grasses and thus entire nature looks green and fresh-looking.

ReplyDeleteI have Big Shot and a Grand Caliber.
When I was in the UK my favourite season was Spring :-) xxxxxxx
Love the coloring and shading you did on the card. I have both a Sizzix and a Cricut. Hard to say we have seasons here, but Autumn in the NE is my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteVery cool image and lovely card. I have a Spellbinder Platinum and Grand Caliber. Also have Sizzix Original, sidekick and Texture Boutique. Tend to use the Platinum most for cutting and the boutique for embossing. Barbara
ReplyDeleteLove this card! Yellow is a color not chosen often and it looks great! I have a Cuttlebug. No others. My favorite season is summer, that's why I moved to Southern Florida. Nope, sorry. I did not buy Sandra's image simply because I do not use digi's and that is mainly because of my printer.
ReplyDeleteGREAT image! She's from Texas right? lol
ReplyDeleteI have my cuttle bug here. I love that machine. I don't remember if the old red sizzix went to storage with the old cricut or given away. If my cuttle bug ever dies I will get a big shot.
Very cool. I have a Vintaj.
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Holley. I use a Sizzix Big Shot and my favorite season is summer; the hotter the better.

I to think spring is my favorite season. I love seeing the flowers and light green colors in the trees. Since I live in the mountains of NC, it is fun to watch the green go up the mountains every couple days. My first die cutting machine was a Wizaed. I then progressed to a cuttlebug and now have an electric Vagabond. Love it b
ReplyDeleteI was just about to go and stamp some day of the dead images, but I'm going red and black I think. Your lady is lovely. I have a bigshot, that I use daily and a sadly neglected side kick and red sizzix machine. I love dies and embossing folders. Spring, I love spring.
ReplyDeleteI love this.nth at image is fab x
ReplyDeleteReally funky modern card, it's fab!
ReplyDeleteI have a bigshot at the moment but contemplating an A4 electric one soon. x
I really don't like the Day of the Dead stuff, but you did a great job on it. I have a Vagabond and a Cricut. I gave my old red one to my daughter.
ReplyDeleteWow, your coloring technique is so impressive Holley, and the sunny yellow is a real twist on the usual Day of the Dead projects! I have a Sizzix Big Shot, and a Spellbinders Platinum 6, but my Big Shot is pretty much my work horse. I didn't even get a die cut machine until about 6 years ago but once I did, I was hooked. I love fall and winter crafts, but my favorite time of year is probably spring (for the weather).
ReplyDeleteVery nice card.I have Big Shot and little Prizm Spelbinders.
ReplyDeleteThe choice of lace is wonderful match for the image. I have a Big Shot and use it frequently.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card Holley and a wonderfully coloured image. The lace is lovely.

Beautiful card! I love the yellow! I have never heard of this artist either. I have a Big Kick and I also have one of those old red Sizzix that I never use. My favorite season is Fall. I love all the colors and the weather too. Hugs, Robin
ReplyDeleteWow, Holley, your colouring is so beautiful! I love how you coloured her hair! Gorgeous lace too! For die-cutting I have the Cuttlebug! My favourite season for cardmaking is winter but my favourite season in real life is fall. I think I like to make so many winter cards because I'm stuck inside in the winter - too cold and snowy here to go outside!
ReplyDeleteThat lace is so beautiful and what a creative way to add it to your cards. I love the Big Shot for die cutting and embossing, and my favorite time of year is springtime!
