Oh, that is a really cute puppy, and you always color the images in perfectly. I like the patterned paper that you used as well. Yes, I like using embossing folders, and have used brass stencils in the past but don't usually anymore. I can't seem to manage the embossing tool very well anymore and don't get a good impression.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute pup on your card, and more of your beautiful lace!
ReplyDeleteI do love embossing! Both the heat embossing kind and using the folders. I have some of the brass stencils and I like those too, although I tend to use the folders much more often.

ReplyDeleteLove that puppy! I do not own any Embossing Folders.
ReplyDeleteThis puppy is too cute. Yes I like embossing I use folders mostly. I have a lot of brass stencils but rarely use them, although they are the reason I bought my first embossing machine. I loved the raised look and had been doing it with a light box when I saw the Wizard being demoed using the brass stencil. I was hooked immediately.
ReplyDeleteHi Holley, that is a really sweet card. I don’t use brass stencils but I use clear ones with sponged ink and love embossing folders! There are so many wonderful embossing folders out there! I’d love to have a cactus embossing folder, if I could find one!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! I have embossing folders and go through spurts where I use them a lot and then don't touch them for months.
ReplyDeleteAdorable pup! Love the houndstooth background. I tend to use 3D and texture embossing folders the most.
ReplyDeleteCute card but I dont use much embossing stencils.
ReplyDeleteI love that houndstooth background! Such a cute idea to put it with a puppy! The card is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy embossing folders quite a lot. I recently purchased one of the new 3D ones from the Tim Holtz line at Sizzix. It's pretty interesting! I hope to add more of those to my collection in the future! Especially the one of the roses. I have not given up on the regular folders though either. I prefer the larger size ones to the smaller ones, but have several of both sizes. I added a sidekick cutter from Sizzix to my desk items this last year, so tiny folders and dies are a new thing on my wish lists. My hubs actually just went to rent some storage space to put boxes in for our move, so my die cutting and embossing equipment will go into a box today and over to storage until after the move in April. I can't wait! (Till it's over that is...lol)
Very cute! Love the paw prints. Yes, I like to emboss, both wet and dry. I heat emboss everything! lol And I have an embossing folder collection - some used more than others (and some not at all! lol).
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute puppy in the flower pot! Sweet card and wonderful lace and background!
ReplyDeleteI love embossing. I use lots of different techniques which combine dry and heat embossing together for double embossed backgrounds. I LOVE embossing folders. I have a few of the brass embossing stencils in my stash and have rarely used them.
Thank you for all you are doing to make this such a fun event, Holley!! I am on the homestretch to my birthday at the end of the month and your celebration has been part of my February fun!!

This card is so adordable! I love that you added those wonderful little paw prints and that gorgeous Turkish lace! I found so many favorites in the store, but those adorable little flamingos just melted my heart. ❤❤❤
ReplyDeleteI still love to heat emboss lots of things. I add lots of embossing with my diecuts as well. Background or overlays are my favorites right now. I do have lots of brass embossing stencils, but most of them aren't used much except on Christmas card envelopes.
Thanks again for continuing this tradition of a month of giveaways! Most people would do a day or even a week, but you have shown us how grateful you are to be alive while praising God through your gifts to us. Thanks again to your fabulous sponsors, too!

That puppy with his houndstooth background couldn't be cuter. Love the little paw prints too.I love using embossing folders. In fact, I finally gave in and bought my first die cut machine, my Big Shot, in order to use embossing folders. Love the texture that they add to backgrounds. I also have a collection of brass stencils, which I used before I had other options. I still use those when I remember, but the embossing folders are so easy that I reach for them first.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love embossing folders. It's such an easy way to add background interest, and then I don't have to worry about mixing and matching patterns and colors. I haven't used brass stencils at all though.

ReplyDeleteEmbossing folders: Not often and should. I do like them. I do A-2 cards so it really depends on the size of the main image. Metal stencils? I had been doing pressure embossing, but found my hands were have nerve problems with doing them. Loved the look though!
