Here's another fun coffee theme card using a stamp from Lili of the Valley. I added some great Turkish lace to it in orange. I think the orange and the purple go well together with the yellow shirt i colored on the girl.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: do you use wood mounted stamps? do you use stencils? how about brass stencils?
That dark orange trim looks so beautiful with the deep purple. You always impress me with your talent Holley. I use clear stamps and rubber but rarely use wood mounted unless they are small. Large wood mounted stamps are too hard for me to hold and get a good image with.
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought to use this colour combo on my card, but it looks amazing. Thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI like and use all kids of stamps.
Great image and wonderful sentiment. The colors are really dramatic..and look terrific! You are so creative.
ReplyDeleteI prefer clear acrylic or rubber stamps, but I still do use some wood-mount. They are tricky for me to use, though, so it's best if they are a background texture stamp or something that if the stamping is imperfect it will be okay.

ReplyDeletewhat a cute card, but it is sad a bit as liek my mood for today is either.. I hope all is good over there Holley.. :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad to use any kinds os stamps I have. I have not a printer to use the digi stamps, I am not a good painter either, and the clear or rubber stamps are the only way for creation here. ^) For tunately I can colour the stampings with water colours or pencils yet.. :):)
I love this card. You are so talented to think of all of this daily and create what you like..

ReplyDeleteI love this color combo! The lace is really dramatic. I have a few wood stamps but I've been taking them off the mount and using them in my Misti. I've never used a brass stencil and have a few plastic stencils in my collection.
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! I don't use wood mount, I removed all of my wood mount from the blocks so I could storage them easier and use them in my stamping platform. I do use stencils but not brass stencils.

ReplyDeleteLovely card. I use a few wood stamps, but mostly stick to clear or cling stamps. I love using stencils and have a few metal stencils.
ReplyDeleteI have quite a few wood mounted stamps because that was all there were when I first started stamping, but generally prefer clear or cling stamps now. They take up less room and I can see where I'm placing them. I also love using stencils or all kinds.
ReplyDeleteLove this card, those colors are great together! Yes, I use wood mounted stamps and stencils. Not really brass stencils.
ReplyDeleteLovely card and great sentiment! I have wood mounted and use them. If I buy wood mounted now (used), I buy them for the image/sentiment and remove them from the wood. I love stencils but not brass ones.

ReplyDeleteI do not have many (less than 10) of wooden stamps due to space.

Valerija xx
I love, Love, LOVE that color combination!
ReplyDeleteI unmount any wood blocked rubber I get. Too space consuming. Yes I use plastic stencils quite a lot. I'm partial to the 6 inch size, but I also have a few 12 inch, and a lot of other sizes. It seems like every company has there own size formats doesn't it? lol
Love your Coffee make. yes I have some wood mounted stamps and use a lot lot of stencils. Do not have any brass stencils yet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coloring...
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous colour combo. I do have wood mount stamps, but rarely use them, and don't buy them anymore. Unmounted are easier to ship and store. But that said, wood mount rubber stamps do stamp beautifully. Stencil are fun and I do like metal ones, especially animal, background or patterns. Hugz
ReplyDeleteThis sentiment describes me to a T, lol. I love this card! I use both wood mounted and unmounted stamps and I also use both brass stencils and regular stencils.
