Have a Happy Day!

Here's a new image from Squigglefly artist Cheryl Alger called Backpack Maddie.  I made this card for the Squigglefly challenge this week which is to include a sentiment from Squigglefly on your card.  I added a sentiment that comes with another Squigglefly stamp called Just Flyin' By, an adorable bear stamp with four different sentiments for only $3.

Which die cutter type do you have?  Sizzix?  Wizard?  Cricut?  Cuttlebug do you have more than one?

I must confess that I have too many, lol!  Way back when, I got the smallest size Sizzix, then I got a Making Memories Slice as a gift.  That really made me want a Cricut.  I had a dear friend give me her old red Sizzix, the very first original one.  Eventually I got myself a Cuttlebug, as it seems to cut every die the best and it also cut different sizes.  Lastly and most recently I picked up one of the Sizzix Bigz as it was on sale for $29.  At this point I pretty much just use the Cuttlebug and Bigz, I keep them side by side right next to my crafting area.

OK, that's my confession for the day, how about you, what die cut machines do you have?

Be sure and check the current winner's list (CLICK HERE) and see if your name is on it...if you name is in Black Bold print, then I haven't gotten your address or email, so please drop me a line at htondre@aol.com.  If you are new to the blog, we are having a wonderful celebration this month, blog candy everyday, be sure and go sign up, esp on Feb 1st as the grand prizes will get picked from that location (click here) then you can go back through previous days (last week) and leave a comment on each day for your chance to win.

  4. I have a red Sizzix, the original small Cricut, a Cricut Expression, and a Cuttlebug. At first I used the Cuttlebug only for embossing but now I have a collection of dies and use the Cuttlebug more than the other 3 combined.

  7. Love the Backpack Maddie image. I have a Big Shots machine and just love. I got it at a Ellison Factory sales for $25 and it came with a starter kit and extra dies. They had these on sales as they were in the old heavy plastic packaging and were re-doing their packaging. I only have 1 machine.

  10. I am pretty much using only my Big Shot anymore - hubby tried to fix my Cuttlebug but it seems it only cuts 1/2 way on one side. But it only cut about 100,000 cuts for me before dying! Great little machine. But I do like my pink/black Big Shot too. Yes, Feb. is going fast - congrats on your wonderful anniversary and thanks for giving to so many. Luv U.

  13. One if my favorite artists! Love seeing how you colored her! I have a personal cricut (6x12) as well as a gypsy which makes it so much more versatile. Sometimes I entertain the thought of a cuttlebug. But for the most part i'm content.

  14. That stamp is pretty cute Holly!

I have the old red Sizzix machine that my sweetie picked up at a yard sale for $2. I had to order cutting plates for it. Last year I bought myself a Cuttle bug machine. I love it!

  16. I have the original red Sizzix, but wore it out. The handle won't stay on and it doesn't cut well. Now I have the Vagabond and love it. I haven't find a die or embossing folder I can't use in it. I love your card...it's so sweet.

  18. Great card. I really like the image you used and the butteflies are a nice finishing touch.
Wow, you have quite a few die cutting machines. I only have one - Sizzix Big Shot. And I LOVE it! I wish I had one bigger one (e.g. Spellbinders' Grand Calibour) so that I could be making shaped cards with grand dies, but that'll have to wait. Maybe once in the future. Right now I'm just enjoying my Big Shot. :) I don't think I'd be able to craft without it.
    Hugs! xx

  28. I have had a Cuttlebug for years Holley....BUT a few weeks ago, the local Haberdashery store had a brilliant special on a Big Shot...So, of course I had to have it (half price!).....and I LOVE it...it sits better on the table and doesn't move as easily as the CB....so now I have 2 machines...lol..the CB is handy to take on Craft days...as its smaller, but BS has won my heart. I LOVE all your creations....keep up the great work and the sharing...hugs Gillian XXX

  45. Super coloring Holley. I love how you did the butterflies too. I had the original cuttlebug for years and loved it, but it recently gave up the ghost and I replaced it with a Big Kick. I do have a cricut but I never use it - I think I need to learn it more.

  50. Great coloring! I do not own a die cutting machine. Wait! Maybe I do. I have a cuttlebug, but I only use it to make the textured embossed backgrounds. I bet it would do die cuts as well.

  51. Oh, I have way too many, too, Holley! I have the original Cricut Expression, and Expression 2, and Imagine, and a Cameo. And I just ordered the new Cricut Explore. I also have manual cutters ~ a Cuttlebug and a Big Shot, and I almost forgot the embosser. Oh my! I feel so spoiled!
Love the image on your card today! So cute!
Thanks for the chance to win!

I also have the Craftwell eCraft with is electronic not sure if it was worth the money but... And lastly I have the Sizzix embossing purse. Well now that collects dust up on my shelves really need to give it to someone or sell it.

  60. Beautiful card Holley!! Love the image and those butterflies! I am like you and have multiple die cutting machines. I tend to use my Big Shot the most.

  61. Hey Holley, your card is really cute and so cheerful - just like you! So glad you played in the challenge with us. I use the Big Shot- I have tried all the others and it just seems to work best for me with my dies. I have a lot of friends who use Cricuts and I tried, but I don't like to have to think about the cut when I craft - I kind of craft in a daze and that would not mix well with blades and computers - LOL! Hugz!

  65. Only have the cuttlebug and I'm sad to say its dying. Something on the handle is broken so I use it very carefully while I save up to get a new one.

  66. Awww, this is just adorable! LOVe this cute whimsical design. I have only ONE die cut machine and in fact I was the last person on earth to finally get one (last year!). I have the Sizzix Big Shot which I got instead of an electronic die cut machine because I love using embossing folders
