Missing Summer Yet?

Here's a little summer reminder for those of you who are freezing cold due to the harsh winter conditions that we seem to be going through this winter.  Even here in South Texas we have had more days of unexpected cold than usual.  While we are back to our usual temp, I can see that much of the north is still getting hit with the cold.  I figured this card might bring a little warmth to your day.  It's a fun image from Sassy Studio.

Had a couple of people inquire about the festivities...I printed out my story on the Feb 1st page. I think this whole month is very much about gratitude for what I have been given and reaching out to those around me who were so very nice to me at a very hard time.  Once I was so much better and so clearly blessed, I truly feel the need to give back and do some amount of outreach to those around me, both those in my day to day life as well as those in my "internet" life.

It makes me think of a song (hymn) called Freely, Freely
Chorus:   Freely, Freely, You have received
Freely, Freely Give
Go in my name and because you believe
Other will know that I live

I have been given so very much.  Now I should give back

Please leave a comment on today's blog for the drawing today.  If you are new and haven't left comments on the previous days this month, you can go back and leave comments there to be eligible for those drawings too!! You can check the winner list by clicking the winner list link in the upper right hand corner.

  1. Lovely card.
In the Netherlands Spring is already starting. Birds everywhere, little buds on all the plants. We didn't have a winter this year. A little frost but that's all. But... 2 more months to go that can change all that.

  8. One of my favorite hymns! I hear ya! Blessings abound in our lives, and sometimes we take them for granted until a catastrophic event comes along and reminds us how lucky we are to be alive. I also hear you about all the nice people you meet. The doctors and nurses at Memorial Herman hospital in Houston must be the nicest people in the world imho! I have seen such kindness and love from the most unexpected places in the last 14 years! There is always someone to restore my faith in humanity.

  49. Lovely card, but I can't say I envy her - sitting in the sun is my idea of misery! It's so much easier to deal with cold weather, although our recent UK weather, (rain, more rain and even more rain, leading to floods) has been quite depressing.
