Princess Tilda

Here's a fun Princess Tilda. She's in her royal blue dress. I added a great sentiment today "One today is worth two tomorrows." I think many of us who have been through something like brain surgery, other life changing experience be them in our own life or with someone very close to use definitely get that.  You really come to a place where you can be very thankful for each day that you get.

Here's a fun question today...do you like Magnolia?   I clearly just LOVE them, I also love Gorjuss Girls and several other stamp lines that are well known as having their stamps done without a mouth on them or very little.  My husband however, will tell me, he doesn't like these images, he truly thinks they are very creepy without the mouth. What you do think?  big fan, not a fan or indifferent?

I look forward to hearing everyone's opinion on this.

Be sure and check the current winner's list (CLICK HERE) and see if your name is on it...if you name is in Black Bold print, then I haven't gotten your address or email, so please drop me a line at htondre@aol.com.  If you are new to the blog, we are having a wonderful celebration this month, blog candy everyday, be sure and go sign up, esp on Feb 1st as the grand prizes will get picked from that location (click here) then you can go back through previous days (last week) and leave a comment on each day for your chance to win.

  8. Oh Holley!
Just a splendid lovely card, I like the blue, secretes fits well and you have made the perfect card! In fact, just a long long time I made a Tilda card and I like indeed. They are a little bit funny with no mouth but otherwise pretty chubby :)

  11. I've always loved what you do with your Maggies, but I've never really caught the bug on them. You've introduced me to so many other stamps that are outside of what I thought I liked. I can't believe all of the Sweet Pea Stamps that I have thanks to your enabling. A lot of the dies that you use are also another item that I find myself buying as well as other embellishments. You have definately given me a reason to look into more storage options!

  16. Lol, my sweetie would completely agree with your husband. He doesn't like Tilda either. I can't understand why not though. I think she's oh so cute! I like Magnolia images A LOT.
Your card is very beautiful. Tilda is adorable and I think the sentiment is great too.

  17. Cute card! I like many Maggies, but really prefer my people images to have mouths. I heard they don't have mouths because they started as angels who spoke to the heart. Now, though, they are definitely people. I added mouths to some of mine but then read on Mo Manning's site that adding a mouth is a violation of the copyright terms because it alters the image. I love the elf images from several years ago, but that series was not continued. (And they had mouths!)

  24. Great image and I love the sentiment. I quite like Magnolia. Got to admit I hadn't really noticed the absence of the mouth. I am really into the Julia Nutting Prima dolls and they don't have any features. Some people have commented that's they are spooky but I like them.

  25. Now this is a sweet image! I either love Magnolis images or I don't care for them at all...all depends on the image.

  28. Fabulous princess Tilda, I must confess I do like images to have noses and mouths, so I don't own more than a couple Tilda stamps myself.
    Great card.

  37. Yes Holley, I can relate with all the health issues, and being happy to make it to see another day.
My husband when he was alive hated the children with no mouths. It doesn't bother me one way or another,

  41. wow prizes every day...you must have a great stash! Love your work!

  42. I love your card, even if I think the image is of a child with a horrifying birth defect. I seldom ever even open an email or finishing viewing a blog post with Tilda in the headline. Tildas are creepy and frightening IMO. Not real fond of other stamp images that are similar, but they are not as bad as Tilda. I never liked House Mouse images either, lol. Guess I'm just a sissy.

  43. Love your card! And I LOVE Tilda images!!!

  53. She is adorable. Men just simply don't know art :) I enjoy both companies you mentioned as well.

  54. I think the Magnolia designs are darling, however I do prefer a mouth. Like your hubby I find it creepy, like they aren't able to express their opinion. So, I usually will draw in a small mouth when I use one of these. :) Your card is darling.

  55. Princess Tilda is so Stinkin ADORABLE!!!! I Luv, Luv, Luv All of these little girls! They are so cute that their mouth is not even noticeable to me. Honestly this is Unique and adds to their appearance. I particularly love this one as it so reminds me of me in many ways!!! Thanks for doing such a great job on this one.

  56. Super cute card Holley and fabulous colouring! I'm with your husband, not so much that they're creepy but I don't like images without a mouth or when they're 'odd' looking!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Very cute card, although I'm not a big fan of Magnolia ... something about the shape of their heads. It's not the "no mouth" thing, 'cuz I love Gorjuss girls!
