Happy Tuesday. It's the beginning of my four-day week, the last week of class for me this year. 4 days to Türkiye now. Gonna miss the kiddos and really realizing how much I am going to miss the DH. My first week or two I have the hardest time sleeping by myself in a strange location. The one thing that happened last week is that my hostess cancelled on me, so I have changed my location near Idealtepe and moved back to where I stayed before in Aksaray.

Happy Hump day. I am looking forward to seeing the kiddos today. I can't believe how much they have grown this year. It's amazing to see a child's growth over a year at age 3-4. WOW. They are so adorable and sometimes so overwhelming. If I look on their online login pages, they still have their photos from the beginning of the year. WOW, so young.

The countdown for last days of school is on, just 8, 8 maids a milking? oooo, definitely not! The number of days till Turkiye is 12! Are y'all tired of hearing me talk about it yet? How long has it been? since day 250 or so. Ha ha. Maybe I need to sit down and take some deep breaths. Truth is I was ready to start counting the moment I go home in August. I bought my plane ticket by late October. I had that plane ticket cancelled and had to redo it in March. It's been a long time coming.

Happy to have today off, just 13 days to Turkiye now. It's REALLY time to be serious about packing because I work 4 days a week and have only 2 weeks. It's careful consideration when you know you will be somewhere for 2 months and you must minimize space to the max so you can bring as much product home as possible. I have to keep in mind to take things that I may have to throw away because they are less important that lace, lol!

Thought I would share this fun FISHY card, lol. Did I ever tell you that my class got a pet fish? It's a blue and red beta. The kiddos named it "Rainbow Monstertruck". Seriously. That's the fish name. So Rainbow Monstertruck number 1 made it less than a week. I have no idea why unless it was sick or old. The teacher took it back (yes, a lifeless fish that we shared as "sick" and needing a doctor with the class) and we magically got Rainbow Monstertruck 2.

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you are having a great end to the week. I think today we are having parent conferences. I am not sure what that will mean for my class. Usually parents will either choose to do it online or by phone. Occasionally they will bring their kids in, then that's when they need me to watch the child while the parents meet with the teacher.
Happy Wednesday. Aren't we glad the week is half over? or I guess about to be half over? I know I am. Love my kiddos but some days are flat exhausting, lol. Happy Saturday! WOO HOO, first Saturday of May and just 22 days to the trip, though I am most likely to go to Dallas TX beforehand anywhere from a one to two days early. YAY! so maybe just 20 days to the trip, lol. Will be nice to spend some time with the sister before my trip and I am SO SO thankful to her for taking me to Dallas to catch a direct flight to Istanbul. I am so used to having a 24–27-hour experience from TX to Istanbul that a 13-14 hour experience is nothing, lol! I am going to be delighted.

Happy May. I am sharing a food theme card today since it is FOODie Friday. I don't think we will be able to have watermelon since that is not in season, but I can't wait to see what we will have for the kiddos. The other week we had cherries and only about 2/3 of the class liked them. In fairness I didn't taste them, so I don't know it they were ripe or not, but I was surprised by that. I think the topic for the week is called "SMOOTHIE" friday and all the kids will get a blend of something.
I can't believe it's the last day of April. Woo Hoo, payday. Just 24 days until Turkiye now and 13 school days left with the kiddos left WOW. I guess this upcoming weekend is MAY, so let's break out the suitcases, lol. Here's the cutest little dog theme card using a doodlebug shaker.

Happy Monday. Glad to have a day off this week to get more chores done before starting up my school week. Just three more school days here in April and then we are on the last month of school. WOW. I am so thankful that this year is coming safely to an end and that we are approaching May. I realized this past weekend that I had only like 6 days to pack and the rest of my weekend time was busy so I had to bust out the suitcases and start!

It's Tuesday and thus the week gets started and I am going in to school this morning to see the kiddos. I hope that they are ready to have some fun!! WOO HOO. We are a play based school where the kids learn based on playing and conversations. Current studies show that play based learning actually has a higher retention and long term effect over sitting at a desk (at preschool levels to kindergarten).

Sharing this fun project today from a place called the Turtle Shop. It was a child in the recent Children's bazaar. She didn't want her name, just the name of her store. All the money she made was going towards saving the turtles in Texas. How sweet is that?

I have to say I got two amaryllis plants this christmas from my kiddos at school and they were such a delight to watch bloom.
