Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend, and you are refreshed for the upcoming week. It's week two of school, so we are off to a full week this week with the kiddos. I have mondays off this year, or at least for now. They are starting to get a little more used to the schedule and used to the teachers, but it's really very early. Many of them were there last year, in other classes so there's at least that familiarity. For now let's all BEE positive.

Happy day 1 of school. They will be working on getting the kids situated and safe in the classroom. Getting them to follow the routine and schedule. It's normal for some and new for others. Let's just all BEE happy, Don't worry, BEE happy. My schedule this year is currently set for TU TH Fri. I am thankful to be back to a three day work week.

Happy Thursday. This week is the last full week off before teachers go in for training for the next school year. I will need to redo my CPR and health training plus at least 24hours of other trainings. LOL so much work to get ready for the school year. Not sure what my schedule will be until I get in.

WOW, first Monday of Summertime that I am in Texas. WHEW it's hot. Thankful for air conditioning. That's for sure. One reason many people don't like Turkiye is the lack of AC. I am used to it. I just accept it. It's something you get over it's something you just deal with in order to be in such an amazing place. But yeah, I am a spoiled American, lol

Happy to be home and unpacking and arranging lace to cut and share online as fast as possible. I hope you are all excited to see the goodies I bought. If you followed the Facebook pages you likely saw at least some photos of what was coming.
Happy Thursday. Last week now, though it's more like just 6 days since my last day is pretty much the 28 and I am spending the 29th traveling. Lets have a glorious day today and a lovely lunch in Uskadar.
Happy Wednesday to you all. Need I even say where I am starting the day? from there I will likely go on to Eminonu to visit with my friends. At this point I have so much lace I am having to be more selective and careful what to buy. Will ship a couple boxes home and the rest has to come home with me in person. I am likely to buy another suitcase and will take three suitcases home.
Happy Friday. So another place in Istanbul that I like to go is Uskadar. In fairness my residence for summer is technically considered to be in Uskadar, but very far away from the initial spot that people think of when they say Uskadar. Most people who talk to me are referring to the coast spot right at the Marmaray stop called Uskadar. One of my preferred places to eat is there, a few blocks up the main street. I like the service and they have a decent menu with many choices. They have an AMAZING bakery with eye popping treats.
Happy Tuesday. All I can do on Tuesdays is think of that amazing Pazaar that is happening in Gonen. Oh, I just wish I could be there every week!!! I wish Istanbul was closer. Hopefully I can make some friends while I am there and find some who will be willing to send me laces to America or at least to Istanbul.

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summertime. Is it hot where you are? I mean it is hot in Turkiye, but a little cooler than it is in South Texas, of course, Texas has air conditioning everywhere, so I am a little spoiled in that regard.
Here's a cute little bee themed card today. I hope you like it. I wish everyone has a very good day. Tuesdays is pazaar time in a special city called Gonen. I really hope that sometime on this trip, at least once but maybe twice I get to travel to this city to go to their pazaar for LACE!!
My My, how are we already almost halfway through June? Time seems to be flying by. Today is Sunday so all the lace stores are closed, and I will spend some time relaxing and going to a place like Ortakoy or Uskadar. Perhaps take a cooking class or crafting class. Something fun like that.
Another site that I hope to see while near Eskisehir is called Pessinus Archeological Site. Eskişehir Pessinus Archaeological Site | Turkish Museums Here's a little of what the site says about the location. "The city lived its most glorious period during the reign of the Roman Emperor Augustus (27 BC - 14 A.D). In addition to the magnificent temple, which was started to be built after the death of Augustus and completed during the reign of Emperor Tiberius (14-37 A.D), different planned structures, workshops, houses and a church belonging to the Christian Period were unearthed."
