Bird Crazy...

One of the prizes given was the adorable set of Tim Holtz Bird stamps. I totally LOVE these images. It was a set that my dear hubby (DH) bought me for Christmas.  A wonderful friend (Kathy) donated a brand new set of those stamps to my celebration this year!  Thanks so much.  And while I am saying it, a huge thanks to Cindy, Pat, Mary, Virginia for all the stamps they sent over this past year to help with the postage.  It really helped a lot ladies.  Huge hugs!

All you need is Love

There's a fun challenge going on over at the Lizzy Love (Oddball Art Challenge Blog).  It's called All you need is love.  Well I LOVE her fun stamps, so I did this quick and cute card to showcase one of her adorable images.  You know I just love this little girl's socks! Eeek. Gotta get me a pair just like this. Too cute.

Happy Bird-Day

Hello everyone! I made this fun Birthday card for the new SSS Challenge. We are having an Anything goes challenge + Birthday theme.  I got this adorable bird from Sherri Baldy named Squeaky and just had to print him out in different sizes to make this fun creation.

Two cards, one folder

So, well over a month, more like 2 months ago, I told you I was going to show you some cards from the Scrapbooking convention that I went to.  Here's a couple from the embossing folder class that I did.  It was full of ideas for using those embossed designs to make quick and easy cards like these:

 

They are simple and elegant and SO easy to make:

 

Here's the exact sane folder and layout idea and yet looks completely different by just smearing ink across the embossing, the more or less ink you use, the way different it looks. ALSO, you can use different ink colors that will make it look completely different.

I {heart} pink

So here's my card for the SSS Challenge blog this week, last week the contest started and was to create and anything goes card with your favorite color. As you might recall, I chose to make it in pink as it has been one of the hottest colors for me this year. So here's a real cuttie from Sherri Baldy that I turned into a card.  This stamp is so Carol Burnet (am I showing my age here?).

Here's an adorable bird stamp from Hero Arts. I added a cute saying "A little bird told me..." then used a fun stamp from Basic Grey that says "Tweet"...what more could a bird say? I thought inside the card I would put a fun saying something like Tweet is bird talk for "I love you"

Enchanted April

Here's another image from Queen Kat stamps. This one is Enchanted April. I colored her up in beautiful fall colors. She's ready to hang a house for her new little bird friend in the tree outside. Just in time to make a fall home before winter comes around.

Here's a darling bird stamp from Your Next Stamp. I added some music notes to the background, he's a happy bird singing. Perhaps he sees the empty cages and enjoys his freedom. I know I enjoy my newly found freedom.

Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Here's an adorable peacock stamp from Hero Arts. This stamp is one of the new style (cling mounted) they are selling. I love the style of these stamps and often search through the cling mounted stamps when shopping prior to wood mounted or (my least favorites) the clear style photo polymer stamps.I really just love the rubber stamps better and the cushion helps the images stamp better and more evenly. Love Birds...

Here's a wonderful stamp from I Brake for Stamps called "Love Birds". I cut the image out with one of my sets of nestabilities. I also used IBFS stamps in the background including a cute saying "A little note to you in appreciation for all the wonderful things you do!"

I love this funny stamp. There's one in every crowd! Isn't that the truth? It may be hard to tell from this photo, but the bird with the sunglass has been stamped multiple times and raised up using pop dots.

Blue Skies....

Well as spring approaches (I wish it was coming faster), I decided to make a cute card with pretty birds. You're a Tweet-heart

Here's another cute valentine design. This card only uses one stamp, the saying "You're a tweet heart"; All the other elements are just fun decor. Today should be the 2nd brain surgery. They will actually be removing most of the temporal lobe on the left hand side today.

Tilda and Friend

Tilda has made a new friend today. How sweet. I wish I could hold out my hand and have the cute little birds fly up and sit down on them.


However it seems like I hold out my hand and I all get is a bird pooping on me. For some odd reason, I seem to have a target on my head (or hand). It must be only visible from above because I don't see it. I can think of at least 4 times that this has happened to me. Twice right ON my head. Twice on my arm/hand. I guess I do have a connection with nature, but perhaps not the one I want, lol!

This little blue bird comes from Pink Cat Studios. I love her little glasses and the funny matching saying that goes with the stamp. I used my Sizzix to cut out a branch to place her on.
