HUGE thanks to everyone at Brentwood Elementary for doing such hard work this year on what has been a challenging and tough pandemic time. I am so proud of the work we did, and I know that everyone will continue to do their very best whether they stay at Brentwood or have endeavors elsewhere. You all are my friends that I count lucky to have!
Had to share this wonderful hot air balloon stamp today. As the end of school nears and vacation starts, I always think of Turkiye when I see hot air balloons, just google Cappadocia, dozens of gorgeous images of the chimney fairy rocks will appear with wonderful hot air balloons flying over them. I didn't get to go in one when I went because of covid. I don't know if I would have, but it was not an option even when I was in Cappadocia.
I received this great card from Dana. I love the stitched die cutting and the bright and bold coloring. Gorgeous work. Thanks so very much for the card and your lovely note.

Here's some great Turkish Embellishments that I got last year while in Antalya (I think, it might have been in Istanbul, but pretty sure Antalya). Anyways, I bought a handful and thought they would make nice cards. I often see cute things like this, as well as, patches and other embroidered items that makes me want to create cards with them.
Closing soon for summer break!! Check out my lace store on Etsy: LacePlaceByHolley | Etsy
Well I can see excitement from both the kids and teachers. It's funny how when we were kids we just assumed the teachers didn't ever leave school. When my kids see me outside of school they act SO suprised like WHAT? you live outside of school? ha. But then when I was in school I probably was the same way. Sad enough I do recall seeing teachers work other jobs when I was a kid. WOW. It never hit me back then, teachers having to work second jobs!!
Hope all my kiddos have a wonderful summer! Just one more day to go kids!

Here's a fun coffee theme card from Unity Stamps today. I had to use this saying during the last week of school, most definitely, "CAFFEINE: It maintains my sunny personality" HA! I think the kids would agree with that one. TOO funny. Hope you have a SUNNY day. Cheers!

Here's a sweet stamp from Twistoon stamps (what used to be Bloobel stamps). I just love her fun lady stamps. This one is just TOO cute. Doesn't she look like she needs a little bit of love? (Don't we all need a little love?) Have a great weekend.

Well, now we have just 5 days of school left but 17 days total until it's time to go! WOW. It's really soon now. I am getting packed up, well, not really, I have a suitcase sitting in my room that's been accumulating stuff for the last several weeks including goodies for those that I know in Turkiye. I suppose soon enough I really will need to get with it and pack. This cute card from Simple Stories says, "Imagine the places you'll go." WOO HOO, so many places I want to see this summer including Urfa, Diyarbakir, Antakya. Hmmm.
Wow, just about to finish up the school year now, just 6 more days of classes and then one in person day without the kiddos. Whew. Sharing this card today with a sweet girl from Lili of the Valley. I thought she was just TOO cute. Makes me think of some of the sweet little girls at my school.
My store will be closing while I am in Turkey, so get that lace now! LacePlaceByHolley | Etsy
Here's another great Unity Stamp today. I am using some stunning Turkish lace on this one. I hope you love it. Here's my tribute to best friends out there. Huge hugs to mine. They know who they are. Love you guys, thank you for always being there and supporting me.

Here's a fun quirky image from Starving Artistamps that I just loved. I don't know why, but it just speaks to me, you know I love the bizarre. I added a fun sentiment, "Create the world you want to see." Now isn't that what card makers do?
Here's a sweet image from Day for Daisies. I just love their cute little girls. I added some wonderful Turkish lace to this project. YUM. Now that we are basically in spring here in Texas, I thought this card with the blue bird was just perfect. LOL, this cat card is just hilarious. We are on the bottom stretch of the end of school and i think everyone at my school is either face planted into the ground or has their hand slapped up against their forehead. Whew, 12 more school days with the kiddos.

Here's a great stamp from Stamping Bella Oddballs. I just love that stamp line. "Life is all about balance" Now that's the truth. You are talking to someone who seems to just FALL down at least once a darn year. Perhaps I need to head this saying about BALANCE!!

Here's the cutest card using a stamp from my recently deceased friend, Sandra Caldwell. She was just the nicest sweetest lady with wonderful talent. I added some cute butterflies and lovely Turkish lace to go along with the image. RIP Sandra.
