Winter theme Bestie

I don't use a lot of realistic images, I don't care for alphabets (though I keep one set, there's always that occasion where you need it); I don't seem to ever use the flourish stamps I have;  I also never seem to use those XL background stamps and believe it or not i font really make Christmas cards.

Forever isn't long enough

Here's the cutest Skeleton image from Maria Medel Illustrations.  I just love this artist's images.  She has some awesome images including some cute Halloween images which you know is just my favorite holiday.  I thought this cute image could also be used for Valentines.  I added a sweet Valentine sentiment "Forever isn't long enough"

Istanbul

Here's a sweet and simple card using some gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress.  I am so excited that Paper Temptress will be handing out a prize this month.  The stamp I am using here was a gift from my husband this Christmas.  It's the Istanbul skyline on top of a heart filled with birds.

The bottom sheet of back is called Black Basis.  The wonderful mica metallic that is layered under the lace as well as under the stamped image is Silver Ore Glimmer .  The image is stamped in Black Memento ink onto Heavenly White paper and layered on some Black Ruche paper.

You and Me

Here's the cutest image from a store called Enchanted School on Etsy.  She has this Cute Digi set that I will be giving away this month and I just adore her images.  I colored this girl up in copic markers and used some great Turkish lace and prima flowers to go with her.

If you get a chance to look at her store, I also adore this cute Mermaid stamp set she has in addition to the four girl stamp set that this image comes from.  This cute image set will be the prize that I give out (the entire four image set).

for me, my favorite theme is probably just everyday cards, but I also love to make Halloween cards, I am sure that's a surprise;  I also have started doing more and more birthday cards as I work at a school now with lots of other people.  But I do love to make the Halloween cards, esp with skulls (lol, must be my brain fascination)

Puppy Love

Here's a beautiful stamp from Ike's Art. I just love her stamp variety and all of her wonderful images from sweet and beautiful to scary and gothic.  This lovely image was just perfect for valentines.  I am so happy that Ike has agree to give away a prize this year.  This cute image is called Puppy Love and it's only $1 at the store!  What a great price for such a precious stamp.  

OMGOSH, I have a HUGE surprise coming from Ike's Art!!  She made a stamp to celebrate my 8th anniversary!  WOO HOO, I can't wait to show it to you....stay tuned for that later this month

Question of the afternoon: what is your current project? what are you making the most of lately?

for me, I am just making cards for everyday topics, though I am getting a few easter things done.  I am on several design teams that I make cards for, I don't have a particular project going right now.  Just cardmaking.  The next huge project undertaking I can think of will be Vacation Bible School.

Don't lose hope

I am so excited to share this wonderful stamp today, this image was created just for me by artist Sandra Caldwell!  It is the cutest hippo with a head injury.  This stamp is called #2010 Holley's Ouch Hippo!  How awesome is that?  I added the perfect sentiment for the occasion "Don't lose hope. You never know what tomorrow may bring."

For me I can say for the last year or two prior to surgery I was so very sick. I was sleeping 10-12 hours a day, barely making it.  Hope was pretty low on my list.  In fact the doctor who sent me to Dr Aboumatar, really should get a lot of credit as she told me she would fix me....I literally laughed when she said that.  After a year of working with me, she sent me to Dr Aboumatar and my life changed pretty instantly.

It's Celebration time!!

It's Celebration time!!!

Can you believe it? It's celebration time!! February 2018 is here.  I am so happy to be celebrating 8 years of seizure free life, and frankly just LIFE!!  Let me especially Thank Dr Aboumatar and the staff of Austin Epilepsy for arranging all the amazing testing and the surgeries (2 brain surgeries) that saved my life and ended my seizures! I have all my crafting friends to be so thankful for their support during that time.  If you are new and haven't see my story, you can find it HERE.

Here's some info for you all about how things work for those who are new or need a reminder.

Thanks for the Upcoming Celebration

I just wanted to give an early Thank You to all the sponsors I have lined up for Next month's celebration!  I am so very happy an excited and I have so very many things to be thankful for.  Most especially wonderful brain surgery that saved my life and all the crafters out there who were so very supportive and prayerful for me and what I went through then.  It was such a huge help for me.
