Grace Girl

Hello! Here's a new stamp that comes from Starving Artistamps Doodle Factory. It's part of the Grace Girls set. I really like this set, too quirky, even with the fish. The saying is from a different stamp set. Hope the new week is going well. I managed to get my walking in last night before any storm hit Austin. Clouds were getting dark though. I do hope for the rain, maybe it will happen tonight and bring some coolness to us.

Fairy & Dragon

Here's a wonderful card made with beautiful specialty papers and a fairy stamp with her dragon friend. I added a saying "LEARN from yesterday, LIVE for today, HOPE for tomorrow." I hope you are all ready for a new week. See the Dragon and Fairy on this sheet here, the saying stamp is available here; Be sure to use SAVE10Holley as your coupon at I Brake for Stamps. At the Paper Temptress this card uses beautiful Mica cardstock in an emerald shade and some stunning black cardstock (Retro Glossy Lustre) that this photo really highlights. Highly recommended! The image is stamped on some nice white cardstock that is wonderfully smooth and great for copic markers.

Bad Hair Day?

I love this wonderful stamp from Sweet Pea Stamp's artist Lisa Victoria called "Bad Hair Day". Haven't we all had that? Now perhaps I never had a tree branch in my hair but post brain surgery (esp when they shaved only parts of my head, lol!) I can remember some funny looking days. I just love this little girl and I had to use this stamp as soon as I got the sheet!
I did my card on the Bazzill dotted swiss paper with irridescent ribbons and felt flowers, colored in my image with wonderful shades of Copic markers and used the Hello Sunshine saying from plate #8. I punched the bottom of saying with a border punch and added some ink to the saying with a colorbox chalk inkpad.

Still working out and hitting about 10 miles a day. Been adding Stair Master to the routine now as I know it is getting too hot to be going outside so much.

Owls (part 1)

One of the sets of images that I have just loved from Artist Elaine Cox is the owls!! I am sharing cards I did with a couple of them here! These images are so adorable. I love their sweet faces and huge eyes. I must say I have been walking my neighborhood at nights (when I get a chance now) and the other night I actually saw an owl! A tiny owl!! Now, some of you probably think that's common or funny that such a thing would be something I so remember, but I live in a large city and can't say I have ever seen owls in the city, so it was a real treat to see one.

For the above card I used Copic markers to color the image and Colorbox chalk edging on the card, American Traditional matching buttons and Bazzill papers. This stamp comes from Elaine Cox Sheet 3 (Plate 40) or it can be purchased individually as "Little Oak tree Owl".

Project Materials: Cardstock(Bazzill, Neenah); Stamp (Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Buttons (American Traditionals); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All); Color (Copic Markers);

Stay tuned for tomorrow's owl card.....

Let's Grow.....

Here's a cutie from CC Designs. I love her little nightgown. I always wanted one like this, but I must say that living in South Texas just makes such an outfit way too hot. One can not wear such a thing without sweating to death. Oh well.....guess if I ever move way north I will find one of them to wear.

I put a little "Grow" here, but "Grow" can happen to us in lots of ways. For kids it may be obvious, but even us adults can "grow" (and I don't mean just from our eating, lol!!). Post surgery time has been helping me do lots of growing lately.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah); Stamp(CC Designs Rubber Stamps); Ink (Memento); Stripe (All My Memories Fabric Tape); "Grow" (Sticker); Colors (Copic Markers); Adhesives (Popdots);

Sunday Card

Love bears all things. Wishing you all a wonderful week. Hope you are doing well. Think of all the people you love, then remember this about love:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Have a wonderful week! Holley

Fairy Happy Birthday!

I just love this artist from Sweet Pea Stamps. Her name is Elaine Cox, she does the coolest images. Here's one of the stamps from her first sheet that I haven't shown you yet. I love this girl! I paired that stamp with a cute saying that also comes on the same sheet "A fairy happy birthday to you."All the coloring on the image is done in copic markers. The borders are done with a fiskars punch that was then trimmed out of specialty silver paper and added to the edges to give a sparkle. Both the stamps used on this card from Elaine Cox sheet 1 (Plate 34);
