Autumn in Everything

Here's a wonderful Sweet Pea stamp that can be used for Fall time.  She's called All Hallow's Eve from artist Rebecca Sinz.  So beautiful. I just loved this stamp and though she could also be used for Halloween,  I have been saving her for Fall Time.
The vellum sentiment says "Days decrease, and autumn grows, autumn in everything."  I added some floral bling and a decorative pumpkin button along with some wonderful gold punched out bat borders that go with the bats on the image.  I think this stamp is just mystical; and perfect for fall nights.  At least here in TX where we don't even wear a coat now that is it is finally down to the 70s.

Have a mystical fall everyone.

Voodoo

Here's one of those images I knew I had to get. It's from Kraftin' Kimmie and it's called Voodoo.  I added their saying "I'll put a spell on you!"  The background stamp is a simple Studio G image.    Love this wicked looking image. Just perfect for Halloween or other spooky cards you wanna make.  I am using some wonderful specialty paper too. It's lightweight but also has some great texture to it.
Project Materials:  Cardstock (AC, Paper Studio, Neenah);  Stamps (Kraftin Kimmie, Studio G);  Potion (Martha Stewart); Bat (OTC); Die Cut (Nestabilities-Spellbinders); Color (Copic Markers); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots);

Hope

I am sure many of you know that this month has been Cancer Awareness month. I have seen think pink themed things all over the place including even watching NFL players and college football players wearing pink shoes and gloves in support. Here's a wonderful stamp and you can see her pink ribbon in her hair! I also colored her up in pink. She's called HOPE by Queen Kat artist Kristie Silva (Creepie Cuties).
I used some great corner die cuts and a wonderful sentiment on vellum "For I know the plans I have for you declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a future and a hope. --Jeremiah 29:11" Perfect with the thought behind this card.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, AC Metallic, Neenah);  Stamp (Queen Kat);  Ink (Memento); Vellum (DCWV);  Flowers (Prima, Recollections); Brad (Bazzill); Heart (K& CO);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities;  Cheery Lynn);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots);  Color (Copic Markers);

Happy Fall Y'all

Here's an adorable witch from Sweet Pea artist Elisabeth Bell called "Wispy Willow with Pumpkin".  Isn't she SO adorable?  I think this witch is just perfect for Fall time in general.  She's not Halloween specific, so I will be using her to present a pumpkin card for lots of my Thanksgiving themed creations.  To do this, I colored her up in blue on this image and added some bright orange flowers that were crafted by a friend.

 Check out all of the wonderful Elisabeth Bell stamps including her newest creations that are now available.  So adorable!  I can't wait to get mine.

Project Materials:  Cardstock(Bazzill, Neenah);  Image (Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities;  Cheery Lynn);  Borders (Bazzill);  Flowers (Crafted by Linda W);  Color (Copic Markers);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue dots);  Bling (Hobby Lobby);

Lil Zombie Girl

Here's an awesome image from Queen Kat artist Kristie Silva called Lil' Zombie Girl.  I just love this artist's work.  She has a line of stamps called Creepie Cuties.  I am sure you have seen her goodies on my blog before.  This image I colored in using all warm grey Copic markers, except for the kitty, which I did in color, I think that gave the image just a little bit of life.  She's so adorable.
Be sure to check out all of the Creepie Cuties at the Queen Kat store, as well as keep an eye on my blog, as I just bought many of the recent Cuties and I will be making cards with several of them!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (CC, Bazzill, Neenah, Marcos);  Image (Queen Kat); Ink (Memento);  Bling (Michaels); Die Cut (Marianne);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic markers);

Down in the Dumps...

Love the expression in this girl, doesn't she just show that typical teenage angst?  I colored her up in warm greys with red roses.  Love that adorable skull hairpiece.  She's from Tickled Pink, but I think CC Designs now sells these stamps exclusively. At any rate, she's a fun image for Halloween or any time.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill,Neenah, AC);  Stamp (Tickled Pink);  Flowers (Michaels);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Die Cuts(Spellbinders Nestabilities; Memory Box, CC Designs);  Brads (Basic Grey); Saying (Rub-on);  Button (Grandma's Button Bag);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all, Glue Dots);  Color (Copic Markers);

Here's an adorable Halloween themed image from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Sherri Baldy called Nelli's Pumpkin.  So adorable.  I have been loving all the fun Halloween images I have been seeing at their store.  It's great there because I can get the digi-images as soon as I buy them.    This one was just too cute.
Hope you are all still having fun in the couple weeks of Oct to make a few more Halloween cards before Fall sets in.

Squigglefly Challenge

Happy Monday Everyone!  You know what that means!  Yep, time for the Squigglefly Challenge!  This week's Challenge is Fall theme.  There's two main options, you can either choose to make a Fall colored card (and your card can be any topic as long as the color is fall colors); OR you can make a Fall themed card (pick any fall theme topic such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, leaves, scarecrows, and so on);  As you can see, I chose Halloween and chose a wonderful image called Charlie the Wicked Witch of the West by artist Cheryl Alger.  I am guessing you best give her a treat or she will be giving you some tricks.
Drop by the Squigglefly Challenge blog and see the fun samples from the Holley Hobbyists this week, then join in on the fun.  The topic is wide open so you can choose almost anything you like to share with us and we'd love to see it!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Bazzill Bling, Neenah);  Digi Stamp (Squigglefly);  Saying ();  Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Lace (JoAnns);  Flower (Imaginations);  Brad ();  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Ribbon Glue, Glue Dots);  Color (Copic Markers);

Fun Times

Here's  my little Goth Girl from TiddlyInks.  Isn't she just too much?  I love that skull clip along with her matching skull shirt.  Just too cute.  I would totally wear that and my purple boots too. OK, well I really don't have any purple boots.
I do however have purple tennis shoes. My choices last time I bought were either purple or neon (and I do mean NEON) green with orange, yellow, purple and a few other colors too, all on the same shoe.  WHAT?!?  I thought someone threw up on that shoe.  What are the manufacturer's thinking?  really?  Not like I couldn't just look at another brand, but many of the other brands look like that too. I buy reasonably high end shoes because I walk A LOT 10-20 miles a day meaning I have those shoes on all day so nice shoes are important, comfort more so than how they look, but I really couldn't bring myself to the latest shoes.  I still have to wear them everyday, lol!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Neenah, Bazzill);  Image (Tiddly Inks);  Color (Copic Markers); Die Cuts (Memory Box; Lifestyles);  Sticker (unknown);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All)

Trick or Treat?

Much as one of the recent cards I posted of a lady was a treat for the men, I am guessing this card would be a treat for most of the ladies.  This awesome image from Sweet Pea stamps artist Teresa Sherman.  He's called Goth Guy (Plate #216).  Isn't he awesome.  I am using him for this Halloween themed card, but like the other stamps on Plate #216, this stamp can be used for many other themes.
He's holding a small skull in his hand, so I used a skull punch to add embellishment to the card.  Yep, I think for most women, he'd be a treat indeed.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill Swiss, Metallic, Neenah);  Image (Sweet Pea Stamps);  Ink (Memento);  Color (Copic Markers);  Bling (Hobby Lobby);  Saying (Sandy Lion);  Punch (Martha Stewart);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots);

Jacko Twosome

Here's a fun image from Queen Kat artist Sandra Caldwell called Jacko Twosome.  What a funny animated image for Halloween.  I colored it up and die cut out the frame using Spellbinders and then used a great border punch from Martha Stewart.  The layering is on a shimmery black glossy cardstock.
Check out all of Sandra's amazing stamps at the Queen Kat store, she's got a bunch of goodies in store for Halloween, but even some great ones already there for Thanksgiving and upcoming Christmas.

Earth Angel

Here's a card I made for this week's Squigglefly Challenge using wonderful papers from Paper Temptress.  The challenge this week is Music theme, so pick something music related in topic or perhaps make a card song related.  I chose this fun image for the song  "Earth Angel."
Earth angel, earth angel
Will you be mine?
My darling dear, love you all the time
I’m just a fool, a fool in love with you....
This image is part of of a two image set, as you might recall, I showed the adorable "devilish" woman a few weeks ago on a card.  The image set is called Inside Outs Good Girls and Bad Girls.
Papers used on this project are from Paper Temptress.  The background cardstock is a wonderful metallic shimmer Copper Mica;  I paired that with a great textured blue ruche paper called Sky Blue Crepe.  The image is a digital stamp and was printed onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80 lb.   Often when I am stamping images, I prefer to use Heavenly White or the 110lb papers, but I have only a compact size printer at my house, so printing images that are digital requires a slightly lighter weight paper.  I use the 80lb thickness for my printer.  As you can see on this card though, it prints wonderfully and still colors beautiful with copic markers.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Paper Temptress);  Digi Stamp (Squigglefly);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk);  Border Punch (EK Success);  Bling (Jesse James);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers);

Meet Abby

Here's a wonderful image from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Heather Valentin called Abby.  She's just adorable!  I love this stamp.  There's a couple other images with Abby at SSS.  I thought she was perfect for Halloween.  This amazing die cut you can get at Scrapalicious.  It's designed by Heartfelt Creations and is used like Spellbinders.  I cut the same die four times and then linked them together.  (See here)  The die cut I am using for the card is also sold at Scrapalicious (see here).
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Digi-Stamp (Heather Valentin-Scrapbook Stamp Society-Addicted to Stamps); Flowers (Prima); Brads (Basic Grey); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue dots); Color (Copic Markers);  Die Cuts (Heartfelt Creations, Nestabilities);

Happy Halloween!

Here's a delightful Halloween stamp. It's one of the very few wood mounted stamps that I own (OK, that's really not completely true, let me say, it's one the RARE woodstamps that I have purchased over the last six years or so).   I have been stamping too long to say that I don't have any wood mounted stamps.   She was just TOO quirky to resist though.  A pet bat?  how can you not love her?
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill Bling, Bazzill, Neenah);  Stamp (Inkadinkado);  DieCuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities; Corner- Cheery Lynn);  Bling (Michaels); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots); Color (Copic markers);

Just Hangin' Around

Here's a retired Queen Kat image from artist Shannon Rene Justice.  I love her fun images.  I added a saying from Queen Kat as well, "Just Hangin' Around."  Thought that would be so fitting for this cute card.  If only I was whisked away by a balloon.  Love her cute socks...
Yesterday was rough, went back to the doctor for more bloodwork.  Tests went bad, the results have dropped considerably from the last tests and now I will be retested in two months most likely followed by bone marrow testing for Leukemia or other blood problems.  Please Pray.  I hope it's just wrong.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, AC, Neenah);  Stamps (Queen Kat);  Diecuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Bling (Recollections); Brads (Basic Grey);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue dots);  Color (Copic Markers);

Holley's Variation

Here's a great image from Sweet Pea stamps, this week on their blog is "Variations week."  That means that several of the design team members are creating cards using the same stamp.  This month's stamp is from artist Karen Middleton called "Winter Eyes."  My coloring is quite different from the artist's depiction (click here).  You can also drop by the blog  to see the other design team's work to check out several other ways this stamp was used.
The lace here was some that I picked up from Istanbul and the fun Explore sticker is metallic and bright pink, but the flash on the camera makes the shimmer look dark. I added a vellum saying "Beautiful You" because this woman certainly is beautiful.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Neenah, Making Memories, KI);  Rubber Stamp(Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento); Lace (Istanbul, Turkiye);  Butterfly (Petaloo);  Bling (Recollections);  Saying (JoAnns);  Color (Copic Markers);  Adhesives (Pop Dots, Glue All, Glue Dots, Ribbon Glue);

Lil Zombie Girl

Here's a new stamp and she is just TOO cute!  She's called Lil' Zombie Girl from Kristie Silva (Creepie Cuties).  I am such a huge fan of Creepie Cuties.  Kristie's stamp are so great.  I think this stamp is just perfect for Halloween or not.  Personally, I get her stamps year round.  This particular card, I embellished with a little bit of Halloween flair.
Check out all the wonderful stamps she released this month. So many adorable images that I had to order at least half of them.  This card uses a special frame from a limited edition spellbinders set and some tiny bat shaped brads.

Happy Fall Y'all

Need a Halloween Costume?

How about a nurse?  Here's a fun stamp from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Sherri Baldy.  She's a sexy nurse and I would LOVE to dress up like that for Halloween.  I guess I might also need some longer hair, longer legs and minor liposuction to look like this nurse....Hmmm.   She's one Witchy woman though.  Think the hubby would love this card.  This stamp is called "Nurse Feel Good."
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Making Memories, Hobby Lobby, AC);  DigiStamp (Addicted to Stamp-Scrapbook Stamp Society);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilties);  Flower (Recollections);  Brad (Creative Imaginations); Saying (Reminisce); Lace (JoAnns);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Ribbon Glue);  Color (Copic Markers);

Frank-n-Wife

Here's a fun card using a great image from Whipper Snapper and an adorable saying from Squigglefly.  I must also say that I made this card for my Neurologist...cards that talk about brains automatically make me think of him, lol!  I am gonna wrap this card up in the mail and send it to his office so his whole staff will get a laugh.  For those of you new to the blog, I am now approaching 3 year post two brain surgeries where portions of my left temporal lobe of the brain was removed.  It was a tremendous success and been wonderful for me.  Every Feb now, there's a huge celebration on my blog filled with blog candy giveaways almost everyday....so keep Holley's Blog in mind when Feb comes around and the celebration comes with it!!
I think inside on the card I will put, "Make that I like zombies AND Neurologists..."  HA!!

Joy to the World

Here's one of the newer images over at Squigglefly, it's a gorgeous oranment from artist Lynne Stansberry. I am submitting this card for the Squigglefly Challenge this week, which is to use Pink, Teal, and white.  To use those colors, I chose some totally gorgeous specialty papers from Paper Temptress!
The papers here are mica cardstock which just shimmers. That's a definite YES for Christmas Cheer. Yum!   I printed my digital stamp image onto Neenah Solar White and colored it with Copic Markers, to get Teal I used markers BG13-18;  I added pink using RV43.  I cut out my image and then chose a wonderful matching mica color for the cardstock base, Azalea; the layered mica cardstock is Lagoon.    The saying was printed out on Vellum.

Eternity

Here's a wonderful image from Sweet Pea artist Teresa Sherman called Loves Faded Memory (Plate #216).  This wonderful stamp comes on a great sheet of rubber that includes an amazing stamp called Goth Guy, just wait until you see my card with that one!  I added a vellum saying to go with this image "Eternity."
Be sure and check out all of Teresa Sherman's amazing stamps at the Sweet Pea store as well as the recent specials. I think this stamp would be great for both Halloween as well as other occasions.  I hope my love with last an Eternity....

Jacko Twosome

Welcome October!  Can you believe we are already in Fall?  I know I can't.  But, here it is. You know what that means, Halloween is right around the corner.  Here's a great stamp from artist Sandra Caldwell that you can use to celebrate.  It's called Jacko Twosome.  What fun!  I die cut out this image using Spellbinders and mounted the image on some great orange vellum paper.
I also layered the bottom of the card with orange vellum and some great lace. I like the translucent look of the orange vellum.  Be sure and check out all of Sandra's stamps at the Queen Kat store!  Happy Haunting (I mean hunting...for stamps that is).

Cheers, Holley

Cuteness

Here's some real cuteness from a brand new stamp set from Crafter's Companion.  This set is from the Strawberry Kisses Christmas line and of course, it's called Cuteness.  I created this card to be featured on the Crafter's Companion USA blog to give a little inspriation for the crafters.  As we are in Oct now, I am sure holiday crafting is in full swing.  I know many people like to get their christmas cards in the mail during the first week of December.  If so, that gives you all of Oct and Nov to get to work on them!
That lace is some that I got back in Istanbul and though I may send it out around christmas time, I didn't completely want to use this card as a christmas card so I kept it general by just adding a wonderful sentiment (sticker) that says "Kisses." I used a great die cut from Spellbinders as the backing.

Crafter's Companion Products used for this creation:
Strawberry Kisses Christmas EZMount stamp set - Cuteness
Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black
Acrylic Block
Foam Pop Dots
