Stitching cute

I know so many people love the look of stitching on everything. I do, but I am not good enough with stitching on paper with a sewing machine, so here I have simply drawn the stitching in by hand, it looks cute, but perhaps would be even better if I could learn to stitch with a machine.  I see those adorable hand-held machines all the time, but I also see people who can't ever seem to make them work.  This adorable image is from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Sherri Baldy.

So, my question to you guys is, does anyone own one of those little machines and get them to work?
This cute card today is for the weekly challenge at SSS!  Drop by their challenge blog for the chance to win to five free images by creating your own card.

Project materials:  Cardstock (DCWV, Neenah, Bazzill); Image (Scrapbook Stamp Society--Addicted to Stamps);  Lace (JoAnns); DieCut (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Bling (Grandma's Button Bag); Sentiment(); Embellishments (Little Yellow Bicycle); Ink (souffle); Color (Copic markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all, Ribbon Glue);
