Here's an adorable card using a fun image from Sherri Baldy and gorgeous paper from Paper Temptress. Right now Paper Temptress has a fun Valentine Collection that I love because it has all sorts of reds and pinks as well as the shimmery yellow I am using on this card. I am sure by looking at my blog, you can tell those are colors I love!
Paper Temptress will be offering a prize today! Thanks so very much to her for doing so.
Check out the Valentine Collection. She will be sending it to the prize winner.
This card is using the Hambly Clear Overlays, this one is called Magenta Brocade. It comes in a great 6x6" pack (Hambly Overlays pack 1), which is perfect for card sizes, you get 11 pcs, all different patterns on sale for $2.37. The base of the card is a stunning shimmery piece, I know you can't see much of it here, but when the recipient opens it, they will really see how nice this cardstock is, it's Rose Quartz. The pink strips are Cotton Candy Pop tones. The shimmery gold background is Gold metallic. The white paper that I used on this card is called Heavenly White. It's great if you use Copic Markers.
Which of these papers on the card are your favorite? do you like these colors? if not, what's your favorite color family?
Be sure to keep your eye on the winner list, it gets updated regularly now, you can get to it by clicking on the image in the upper right hand column. ALSO, if you are new visiting, be sure and leave a comment on Feb 1st! that's the main prize location for the month of which the grand prizes will be drawn. Love the cotton candy, but the gold metallic would be my fav, as I love to add a touch of gold to almost all cards. (when I have it)What a generous paper pack prize!!!

Beautiful card Holley. Funny you should ask about the papers. They aren't my favorite by themselves, but when you color an image to match wow, really makes a huge difference. Your coloring is awesome.
The brocade overlay is also my fave! So luscious! This is my favorite card so far this month I think.
I tend to enjoy bright jewel tones best, and am hard pressed to choose a favorite color because I really love them all! I do tend to use a lot of reds and pinks in my artwork thought, followed closely by green, blue and yellow. I don't really use purple or orange much. I also use a lot of black and white.
Thanks to Paper Temptress for the wonderful prize! And thank you again too Holly!
lovely card. I like magenta and purples, but my favorite color at the moment is teal.
She's adorable and coloured beautifully, super card

Cute card. My fav collection is the teal. I like the 6x6 sets, but some of the designs that they made into 6x6 I think would work on cards - like the Chic Framed, the Journal Bits, and Vintage Patchwork
Gorgeous card and I do so love the beautiful image and your card layout!

Cute image on a beautifully decorated card. Perfect!
I like the clear overlay a lot - such a nice pattern. I like to use pink or blue and brown combination on my cards.
Hugs! xx
This image is so sweet. So pretty in pink too.
I love the brocade, though I fear I wouldn't know how to use it to it's full advantage. But I also like the shade of the pink strips. I don't know that I have a favorite color combo....it really depends on the papers I want to use, the mood of the card and what MY personal mood is that day :-)
Adorable card dear... Love the image too.
