Dance in the Rain

Sure was some good rain last month, I hope we will also get some rain this month. Texas is having a huge drought situation.  The lakes that we have near Austin are at an all time low, one of these lakes provides water for a million people in this area alone.  It's currently at 39% of it's normal level.  All businesses near the lake have been shut down for a couple years (boat docks, restaurants on the lake, rentals,...).  It's currently projected if rain doesn't increase significantly, we will reach an all time record drought situation matching the state of 1951.  Difference of course being, that the consumption now must be significantly larger than consumption was in 1951.
So, may we all be thankful for the water we have and pray for more water to come.  We need it here. Thanks much for your prayers everyone.  If you have prayer requests, feel free to leave them here.  Hugs all!

  4. A fantastic card Holley and such a cute image. I'd gladly send you some of our rain if I could x

  5. I can simpathise with you re low water tables. When the dams here were built population was so low in comparison to today. We used to take a "day" trip to watch the excess water go over the top of the dam, but that was when I was a child, old lady now. lololol. We are on full year water restrictions. watering only twice a week. love your little lady. Bright colours on rainy days really bring a big smile

  9. Cute card!

I can sympathize with the drought plight. We have been under drought here for the last few years too. It has rained, but not enough. Now it has begun to get better at last, but too late for the wheat crop. Most of it will probably be plowed under because it hasn't produced enough to make it worth harvesting. So sad. :(

  10. Beautiful card Holly
