Celebrate

Here's a wonderful stamp from Heather Ellis, I am sure many of you recognize this cute stamp!  She is now sold as digi stamp from DigiStampCharacters.  How cute is she?  So adorable. I have always loved this stamp line!  I am so excited to say that Heather has very graciously offered prizes this month for my celebration.  The winners will get a set of three stamps, here's stamp number 1, you will get to see stamps 2 and 3 when I reveal my cards!!  Please go to her Etsy store and check out all her darling girls.  I just love her stamps!

So TODAY is a big day, this is the day that I had my 2nd surgery and after that, I never had another seizure again!  WOW.  Of course it don't always matter if you have a seizure immediately following surgery as the amount of trauma your brain has undergone may cause a seizure but upon healing they could have removed the area that would typically cause seizures.  For me, I never had another seizure again!  Right now I am on 7 years.  The actual (and often TERRIFYING) statistics is that about half the people who have surgery will have seizures again.  This is why I celebrate EVERY year I get.  The further I get away the better off I am.  I have a very dear friend whose son had the same type of procedure I did.  Several years after his surgery he suddenly had a seizure and died!  NEVER take for granted what you have been given.  ALWAYS be thankful.  This is why I always celebrate.

So, question of the day, what is your upcoming celebration?  a big birthday? a wedding? a medical situation like mine? some other life achievement?  Let me hear about it!

CLICK HERE if you need to sign up on Feb 1 where prizes get drawn from Daily.  The winner list has now been started!!  Check for it HERE!!  If you haven't signed up for all the other days, go back and leave a comment on each day to be in for the drawing!

This little girl is adorable and so sweet. I love the way she is framed in that die cut window, with her big pink heart! What an inspirational story about the success of your surgery, and how you remain thankful every day. I have hopes that those seizures will always remain only a memory to you. Big hugs Holley!

Pretty card! I adore pink!
My celebration is medical too. In June it will be 17 years since I had my first aortic resection surgery. I actually went in to the operating room at 9 pm. They were finished at about 5:30 am. I am still so greatful for the right team in the right place at the right time! Life is precious and SWEET!

Cute stamp, pretty pink papers, flowers and hearts...all just adorable! My upcoming celebration is a big family reunion in June on my husband's side. We all get together each year with extended family for a week at a resort...a new place every year. My two girls love seeing their cousins who live across the US, and hearing all the family stories.

I know what you mean as since my breast cancer diagnosis in 2013 (coming up to 4 years clear) I never take anything for granted and enjoy every moment.

The next big celebration is my sister's wedding at the end of May. Creative Blessings, Tracy x

Such a sweet image. Your very right Holly. We should never take a day or a moment for granted. We may not be here tomorrow or the next day. You went thru something alot of people don't know anything about yet relate in different ways. Ive been so far from my family for way too long and i feel the need to get home for a while. I want my son to know his grandpa and great grandma while they are still here. It's the time we are needing to spend. Time is precious. The next celebration would be my boyfriend's birthday. Maybe this summer it will be a celebration of going home. :)
