Here's a wonderful card from a kit that I got from Paper Source. It comes with lovely specialty papers. I altered the sentiment (it was supposed to be a mother's day card), I added the lovely wooden embellishment and added the background. I thought this card was a lovely sentiment card for Valentine's day without being too lovey-dovey. It sends a clear message of heart without sap!

Pretty card that could be used any time of year. The embellishment is perfect. I generally use rhinestones, pearls and sequins with adhesive backs, and occasionally use ribbons and twine.
Your card is elegant! I use lots of rhinestones and small wooden pieces and buttons along with ribbons and twine! My favorite embellishments are the packages of die cuts and sticker embellishments, as I can coordinate them with the scrapbook paper I already own. I try to keep my cards fairly flat so that I don’t have to add extra postage! Audrey R in Austin

Gorgeous background paper on this one! I use a lot of charms, gemstones/rhinestones/jewel type thingys, some stickers & tiny seashells.
I think this makes a perfect Valentine card. Most of mine seem too cutesy for an older person. I love enamel dots and small gems for embellishments. I like to keep my cards rather flat for mailing.
I think half pearls are my fav embellishment. That's a lovely card.
Beautiful card Holley! As I said a few days ago, I'm don't use a lot of embellishments. When I do, I use Nuvo drops & small gems/sequins.
What a special "non-sappy" card! I like to use die cuts as embellishments as well as pearls and gems.
