Skiing Tilda

Sending Winter Wishes to all. I know it is not fully winter yet and here in Texas, it will never really be winter compared to most places. I never think of things such as skiing or snow, but I had this Tilda stamp and enjoyed making this card to share with friends up North.
Today is officially our "cold front" lol, which means we are going from almost EIGHTY degrees yesterday to about 50 something degrees today. Of course it did get colder over night, but the high for the day will still be in the upper 50-lower 60s.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah); Stamps (Tilda-Magnolia Rubber Stamps; Saying-Unity Rubber Stamps); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Brads (Making Memories); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All); Color (Copic Markers); Die Cuts (Spellbinders- Nestabilities);

Enjoy Everything

Take advantage of your life and enjoy even the smallest of things. Tilda may not like sweeping the floor, I know I don't, but I do like to see a clean floor. I do like the fact that I can go outside now without feeling any pain and without getting an instant headache, so sweeping the sidewalk today did make me smile. Even a chore I don't like has to make me happy in some ways. I love making cards, even a card with cute Tilda sweeping. Smile everyone :)Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Rubber Stamp (Tilda-Magnolia Rubber Stamps; Saying- Rubber Stampede); Color (Copic Markers); Frame (die cut-Spellbinders); Adhesive (Pop dots);

Castles

There are wonderful new Castle images coming out from Sweet Pea Stamps artist Lisa Victoria. I had the chance to make some adorble cards with one of them in two sizes. I call this card "My home is a castle" because we all like to believe that we are living in a real castle, don't we?
The saying comes from Plate #19. I used Bazzil Swiss dotted paper in the background and some Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut out the image.
There was a similar image that was smaller, this one gave me several cute ideas such as tiny fairies, elves and sprites. But at the moment I am making a birthday card for a little girl. Every little girl wants to get a castle for her birthday! Even when I was a child I wanted to have a doll house that looked like a Castle.
For this card I used Olivia (Plate #14) and some great stamp sayings (Plate #9). I added in some wild metalic pink paper and used a border punch from Fiskars. I added a princess crown on top of Olivia because all birthday girls need a crown.

Birgitta in Fall

It's Birgitta in fall time, sitting on the fence looking out at the sunflowers. What a sweet girl from the Swiss Pixies of CC Designs. Autumn here has been a really wonderful season as it has been mild so far. Much of the time it has been very warm with little or no coldness here. Even during the week of thanksgiving we spent wonderful time in the low 80s. Ahhh Texas, how I love thee. Now we are in the cold, but I can still remember just yesterday, the wonderful 80s. It's cold and sleeting this morning, now I see the sun has come back out! Please beautiful weather, will you come back to me?

Sweet Pea Fairy Birthday

This sweet image is from Samantha Rawlings Little Sweethearts collection. She is called Little Fairy and you can find her on Plate #58. I just love this sweet girl. This image I colored with different shades of watercolor pencils and then used a blender pen to mix the colors together.

I used a set of Nestabilities to cut out the saying from plate#34. This fairy saying used on this card is on a wonderful sheet of images from Elaine Cox. I love to use the Fairy Happy Birthday saying all the time! I added a cute mix of red/black embellishments to finish the card along with dusting the edges of the card with some Colorbox Chalk ink in black.
Have a Fairy Happy Day!

Owl only have eyes for you!

I love owls, no matter what the season. Walking every day now, I hear the owls hoot at night and occassionally get to see one up in a tree. As the leaves fall now I can see them more and more often. Makes me think of this wonderful stamp from artist Elaine Cox.This stamp and saying come on Plate #40 from Sweet Pea Stamps. The owl stamp is called "Little Oak Tree Owl." I added some beautiful glittery fall leaves to the card to show the feeling of the season. I love the eyes of the owl in this image, so I selected the matching saying. What a perfect card to make for that special person in your life.

Friends

Hold your friends and family close to you. Never forget what is important. I think this week has been so tough losing a loved one we should stop and think of what is really important. Friends and family are important. If you have friends and especially family that you haven't reached out to recently, reach out to them now! You never know when they will be gone. Tell them what you want to say NOW, don't waste any further moments. Even those close to you, tell them everyday. Think of everything you say to them as it might be your last statement.Never hesitate to tell them that you love them. Big hugs to all of you and most especially to my family, friends and loved ones.

My Scarecrow Friend

Here's a wonderful scarecrow stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie. I have always love scarecrow theme stamps. I have quite a few of them that I will be enjoying now that it is fall time. This sweet one has a little birdie friend. I guess scarecrows are supposed to be scary, but most I see are just too cute to resist!
Something fun happened yesterday, as many of you know I have been getting better and better since surgery and working out more and more everyday. I do about 10-12 miles a day. I bought myself a new skirt, size ZERO!! Who would believe that? This time last year, I was over 65 pounds heavier. A little brain surgery has really changed my life. Hmm, maybe the scarecrow is in a good state of being!!
