Even though I am on medical leave from my School, the principal allowed me to be a guest for the 5th grade graduation on Wed.  While there I got these sweet items from the kiddos.  Yesterday was the last day of school for them and today is the last day of work for the staff.

Happy graduation to the 5th graders at Brentwood Elementary today!  I will get to go back to the campus today to celebrate with them in congrats as they graduate. So proud of my kiddos in that class. I wish them the best as  they go on to middle school

Simple Pleasures

Here's a wonderful image from Sherri Baldy's Fluffy stamp line.  Isn't she awesome?  I added a great sentiment, "Simple pleasures are life's treasures."  I thought that was just perfect for this card. I also added some beautiful lace that I got on my last trip to Turkiye.  It looks shiny because the cardstock behind is gold/black stripes.

Bee happy...or not

LOL, this Grumpling stamp from Taylored Expressions cracks me up!  It says Don't Worry (Bee Happy is crossed out) I'm not happy.  LOL, don't we all have some days like that?  I know I do. But on the other side, I think if I was wearing a bee costume that cute, I would just crack up laughing!

Using some wonderful black lace that I got in Istanbul a couple summer's ago. We are getting closer and closer to vacation now. I can't wait to see what is in the stores this year.  I really need to share some photos of these stores with you all.  You really can't believe it.  It's THREE STORY buldings of wall after wall of so much lace that you could spend days and days going from store to store.  Amazing.

Special Delivery

Here's a wonderful birthday themed little girl image from Sasayaki Glitter stamps!  Isn't she adorable?  I added the funny sentiment, "All you can eat CAKE"  And of course, my favorite cake flavor, yellow cake with chocolate frosting.  Hmm, well, that's just ONE of my favorite cake flavors.

Sweet Bear

Here's an adorable bear from a company called Digi Stamps Boutique.  I love this sweet Bear.  I am also using some gorgeous lace from Turkiye.  I can't wait for summertime now, it's getting closer and closer! but at the same time I am worried about getting enough rehab on my elbow that I will be healthy on the trip.

my hair!

Here's a hilarious image from the Grunplings of Taylored Expressions.  I love their attitude.  I has to pick this one about hair today.  As you may have read earlier this week I has surgery due to a fall.  Now I am stuck being one handed.  oh how hard is this?!?

one of the biggest issues is I cant do anything with  my hair!  ugh.  love my DH, he has been so sweet but he cant even make a pony tail. 

Beach Body

Here's another hilarious Grumpling stamp and sentiment from Taylored Expressions paired with some awesome papers and ribbon from Paper Temptress to make this fun card today. I just love the pink and brown combo.

The base of this card is  Pink Basis. The image is printed on Heavenly White, then layered on a piece of clear transparency from Hambly Studio Overlays called Magenta Houndstooth.  That paper is also layered on a wonderful piece of Pearl Glimmer. The paper on the left hand side of the card is from Hambly Studio Screenprints and it's called Mini Graph.  The ribbon is pink with glittery circles down it, it's called 5/8  pink crystalline ribbon (be sure and check out this link, it's so awesome!!)

Pugability

Here's a cute classic well, classic in the sense that its no longer available.  It was sold by Sweet Pea Stamps and is just too adorable.  I love these cute dog stamps.  I added a funny sentiment ,"I'm full of Pug-ability"

A Mermaid's Hello

Surgery Today

Sharing this adorable image from Little Blue Button today,  I haven't announced on my blog yet but I had a horrible fall while walking last week and I ended up in the hospital.  I not only dislocated my elbow, I also shattered parts of it and will have surgery Monday morning 5am central to try and repair it, prayers and positive thoughts are appreciated.

When  I get home I hope to enter some updates on my blog about how it went.  Wish me luck

Here's a great image from Sandra Caldwell.  She will be adding this image to her Etsy store Babycakes DND, it's called 2191 Cowboy Boots, not only perfect for a Texan like me, but great for the upcoming father's day!

I added a great sentiment, "Dear Joy, find me in the country."  Well, another school week down, just 12 days left this year!  Keep the kids in your thoughts next week, it's the STAAR test, (Texas version of standardized testing for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades).

Be Yourself

Here's a lovely image from the East Wind. I love this character that she makes stamps with, Lucy Loo. Just awesome. I am using a banner die cut from (I think) CC designs. Love it.  I also like the way this color combo of red, black and grey turned out together.

More testing is approaching the kiddos, keep them in your thoughts it's a very stressful time for all of them.

I'm not grumpy

LOL!  This image/sentiment me crack up.  Maybe that is why I love Grumplings, they have some attitude. There's definitely some days when I feel this way too. And there's other days when I don't feel this way, but I look like I do.  Hmm I think they call that a "witchy" resting face, or you get my drift, lol

Here's a hilarious image from Sandra Caldwell today.  The sentiment says "Everything I like is either illegal, immoral, fattening, or too expensive."  HA!  I also added some gorgeous Turkish lace to go with it.  Isn't this image too funny?  it's called 1878 Mars Bar Sweet Treat.

Out of curiosity, what's your favorite candy bar?  I think mine would have to be a three musketeers or a twix.

Woo freakin Hoo

Here's a funny stamp from Taylored Expressions stamp line, Grumplings paired with some gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress as well as some stunning lace that I got in Istanbul Turkiye.  I just love the attitude of this stamp paired with something as opposite as a beautiful layout.

The base of the card is a wonderful mica cardstock called Rose Quartz.  I paired that color with some beautiful silver Mica.  The image is printed on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock which runs beautifully through my printer.  I added some little bling as the final touch on this card.  Hope you like it!

SWALK

Here's a stamp line I haven't used for quite a while, but I have always loved them, SWALK. They are just TOO cute. I added a sweet sentiment to this card, "You are simply perfect to me." How sweet is that?  I just love their little girls and boys. I was very lucky to be on the Crafter's Companion Design Team when they used to sell SWALK images.

Happy May everyone!  Can you believe it is finally here?  I am so ready for it. It's now the last month of school, the kids and the teachers are getting restless and ready for the summer time.  I am still working out everyday in a feeble attempt to drop weight (down over 20 now). Hope to keep going though, I have about a month and 2/3 before vacation.
