Last day of August, woo hoo payday! Guess I never get as excited about payday as I did when I was younger. But excited to see a new month come! I can't believe it's about to be September. Thought this cat card showed the daily routine that we are now all getting into. Eat Sleep Play....though I added a little bit of that annoyed cat face that shows the look when I have to get up and goto work.... But, most of work is fun playing with the kiddos. Cheers all!
So, back in like April, I was at a craft show and I got this cool handmade card from a lady (I like to support other cardmakers). It was a custom made mandala. She was also selling stickers, and I got a couple of them, here's one, that took and made this card with. Lovely isn't it? I added some bling and a sentiment "Best Wishes" and I think it makes a simple but elegant card.
Happy Monday everyone! We are now on week three of school. Who can believe that? there's a long way to go at this point. Contract for us is 209 days for TAs. So, wow, long way to go. I know you guys know how much I like to countdown, lol. I think it will be a while before I start counting down.

We're about to end the 2nd week of the school year. So far so good. Things are starting to normalize just a little bit, Here's a little smile for today. It basically means, "What's your name?" I just think Llamas are cute. I'm off to get my hearing checked today. I think like my little two year olds, I may need hearing aids. I guess we will see after this appointment.

Week 2 of school! Hard to believe we are already back and started up. wow. My kids are so cute, little kiddos make me smile everyday. It's so great to see their learning each day. Well, time for day 2. In an elementary school, day one of school is about safety, child management, never losing someone from your class,...... Nothing is ever as serious in our small little bubble with a couple of two year olds, me as the teaching assistant and my teacher. But having been in this environment as long as I have, I am quite familiar with the stress level of the first week or so until the kids are very familiar with the new routine.
In fairness two-year-olds have a routine too, one that we are getting them to learn again, since they go year round, but do have a break in their routine from the end of July to Aug 14th. However, there's two of us watching the two-year-olds and we spend our entire day in the same room. it's usually a matter of getting the parents dropping off the kids at the same time and having the school bus arrival time (like they have any control over that), and such all ironed out. it will take a week or two.

Here's some gorgeous paper that I got while I was in Turkiye. I don't know that it was made in Turkiye. I think it was most likely a product of India, but i didn't see it on the packaging. It was a beautiful set of handmade papers though so I just had to get it. I added the three sparkling hearts to go with it.

Yesterday's card said, Hello, so today let me say, "Hello, again!!" Well, it's our last day of prep before the kiddos come back. They start on Monday. I can't believe we are in the 2023-2024 school year. WOW. I guess I am super spoiled to have spent my entire summer in Istanbul! lol, feels like summer flew by.

Well, just a week of inservice time, starting today and then the kiddos will be back! I am quite happy about that. I look forward to seeing how much my littles (2yr olds) grew and I believe we got some new kids too. Here's a cute card for the DH today. Hugs sweetie I WOOLY Love EWE. Kisses.
This is the week for Teacher Training, I guess that also means TAs, but sometimes, OFTEN, that training doesn't quite fit us. Makes for a very long day sitting there listening to a lot of information that doesn't pertain directly to you. I just hope that I AM there when they are saying the information that does pertain to me!

Believe it or not, this is our first day back at the school. Friday? yeah. I don't know why. it makes absolutely zero sense. Whatever AISD. My smiling face will be there starting at 7:30 just like normal. Woo Hoo. That being said, UGH, COFFEE PLEASE..... and I will be happy to see co-workers and hear about their summers and such.

Fourth day home and trying to get back in the swing of things. Need to be going full speed as tomorrow starts school for staff. Here's a great lol card for tomorrow. Just get back from a foreign country and have to start work tomorrow....no prob-llama. HA!

Happy August everyone! I am happy to be back in the USA and getting myself back to local time from what is a huge time change. I will be opening up my store soon, so keep an eye out for it. I will be chopping up lots of wonderful lace for it, WOO HOO. Better start with some coffee though, I need it on the lack of sleep side...
