Happy Friday!

 Happy Friday everyone!  This weekend will be super busy for me.  I have to get ready for the convention as I am leaving on Wed directly after school so I must be ready to go and have everything packed up.  I must have everything for my store ready to go.  I will likely put up a sale!  So if you have been waiting for a sale to get some lace goodies, check out the store this coming week!

Here's the cutest stamp from the Dead Sea Toons line of stamps done by Miss Rach Stamps.  I just LOVE these stamps.  TOO CUTE.  I added some great Turkish lace to the card, cute star lace in pink.  I added a cute little patch as an embellishment because I thought the word "Spirit" went perfectly with the girl

 Here's a wonderful set of embellishments that I got from Turkiye.  I used the adorable skeleton to make this card.  I thought it could be used for both Halloween or just as an All Purpose type card (because you know, I think skeletons are an all year round kind of thing!)  The cute lace I also got in Turkiye but at a different store.

Super Happy

 Sharing this beautiful Unity stamps card today.  I am using a butterfly and sentiment that come from various KOTMs (Kit of the Month).  I am also using some gorgeous Turkish ribbon (or trim?).    It says, "You make me super happy."  I bought this lace from a store that I shared a number of photos of it on my facebook site.  They have a small shop downstairs, but you go upstairs to the fifth floor and WOAH, omg it's just woah!  Unbelievable.  You've never seen so much before.

How's it GROWING?

Hay everyone! Happy Monday.  How's it growing?  lol.  GROAN. Ok I know that was some bad jokes, but I think pretty funny. LOL, yes I think puns can be funny.  HA.  Here's a super cute card done by Simple Stories.  I just bought some new kits because I wanted to take some along with me on the scrapbook convention in October.  I don't think my hotel room has a table though, hmmm, wonder what or where I will sit to do them.

Guest Designers

 As I mentioned last week, I will be sharing some wonderful art that the kids in my dear friend's class gave to me when I visited her school last summer in Istanbul.    The kids were just delightful and had made lovely Welcome projects for me.  Then I went to teach then the names of the days of the week in English and in turn, they worked on teaching ME many different words in Turkish!  So impressive.

Forever

 Sharing this fun card from Simple Stories today.  I just LOVE their card kits.  I see them range in price from about $10.50 to $15 depending on what store you go to.  I find them very helpful for those times when you feel like card making but have a block (and need to get the creative juices flowing), don't have any images colored up or ready, or just wanna make cards and not think about it too much!  These are fun and super cute.

I made this cutie for my DH, they have kits in all sorts of themes, I suppose this was supposed to be Valentine themed, but I think of it as more of a lovely theme that you can hand out to your DH all times of the year.

Happy Thursday.  I know many of us are wishing for Friday already.  I know I sure am.  I can't believe we are already approaching the end of Sept.  This is getting ready to mark the first 6 weeks of school.  WOW.  Time sure does fly.  Feels like we both just started and have been going through this routine forever, lol.  Sharing this card today

Happy Monday , let's have some coffee

Sharing a coffee theme card to start off this week, because I think we all need a little coffee to get going.  At least, I know my teacher friends and I do.  Mmmmm.  Wish I had some Turkish Coffee about now.  I could pull out my Turkish coffee maker but that seems like quite the hassle.  Boy am I lazy, lol!  Not only will I not spend the extensive time to make it, I won't even spend the time to get out the COFFEE MAKER that makes it, lol!  ha!  it just seems like a lot of hassle when you are doing it for just yourself.

Guest Designer

This summer you all know that I went to Istanbul.  One of my oldest and dearest friends of almost 20 years lives there (she's Turkish, we met in college at Texas Tech).  She is a grade school teacher.  I went to her school and was delighted by her class of children who all presented me with lovely works of art and a couple of beautiful songs.  Over the next several weeks (each sunday), my guest designer works will be the fun images that they sent me.  I hope over in Istanbul the kids are watching and looking for their art work to appear on the internet.

 Here's a super cute oldie from Sandra Caldwell.  I think this one came from back when she was still working for one of her first rubber stamp companies.  Isn't she a cutie?  I just love all her images.  We all miss Sandra dearly.  RIP Sandra.  Hugs to your whole family.

Just Chicken In!

 Can't believe we are already in the middle of the month of Sept!  WOW.  This makes it a full month of school here.  Seems like it was just yesterday that we started but then again it seems like we have been going in our new school for such a long time already.  Hmm.  Just chicken in with everyone else. How are y'all doing?

 Late Birthday shout out. Having a late birthday shout out to Mr S who works with me at the Elementary school in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing department.  He is super great with the little kids and they all love him.  I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Sharing this adorable coffee themed card today.  I thought that was a great choice for MONDAY as well all need a little pick me up.  Why not some coffee?  I am not sure who did this sentiment.  I have so many funny coffee sets.  I added some cute tape from Doodlebug to go with a stamp from Tim Holtz.  Drink up everyone! Well, I know it's not technically fall YET, but I think many people are wishing for fall.  I am totally digging all the pumpkin things I am seeing everywhere.  I have enjoyed some Krispy Kreme pumpkin donuts already.  That being said, it's still a blistering summer here in Texas.  Here's a little fall theme card though.

Bunny hugs

Here's some cute lace and a decorative bunny that I got while in Istanbul on my last trip.  I thought it would make the perfect card.  Great for a little girl or a baby card (when you are not sure if it's a boy or a girl even).  The store I got this in was a jewelry store, but they had so many cute embellishments that would be delightful on cards.

You lift me up!

Here's a fun card using the cutest image from Taylored Expressions. I just love this dog and birdie combo!  TOO CUTE. I buy all of the stamps with this cute coupling.  It says, "You LIFT me up!"  How sweet is that?  I added a little brad on the pink flower that says, "Be Happy"

Doggie Card

 Sharing this cute Doggie theme card today.  We are back to school after a lovely three day weekend and happy to get back to the start of September, though we are all wishing for a longer weekend, lol!  Most of the kids are in the swing of things now and know what to do and what to expect.

Happy Labor Day

 Happy Labor Day to all those in the USA.  Enjoy your day off if you are getting one.  I'm sorry if you are not, but grateful to you for still working as I know many of us are using various businesses for their various services today.  Hugs and thanks for working.  May you get another break on a different day this week.  I do understand.  I used to work in fast food, in a cafeteria on the campus of the college, as a waitress at an IHOP, so I know what it's like to work on the holidays.

Here's a thankful for you to all those who have to work today!!  May everyone be thankful that you are working!

Discover Yourself

 Well, here we are on Friday, another week of school is finished.  Here in Texas we have changed out schedules and the kids have to take PE everyday of the week.  I know that happens in many other states or countries, but was not the case in Texas before.  However on fridays the schedules are different, because they do PE for only 30 minutes.  So that somehow changes the whole day's schedule.  Don't ask me why, I just know I have a different schedule.  It's only week three, so I am not used to it yet.
