Happy Halloween

Here's an awesome Sweet Pea Halloween themed image from artist Anna Marine called Pumpkin Queen (Plate #141).  What a great image!  I couldn't wait to make a card using this one.  I used some wonderful cardstock in the background with a silver spiderweb printed on it paired with some skull themed ribbon.
Be sure and stop by the Sweet Pea store and check out all of the wonderful Halloween themed stamps as well as the great specials that are going on right now.

Witches Brew

Here's a great stamp from Queen Kat by artist Sandra Caldwell called Witches Brew.  I added some fun brads that say Halloween and some neat poison theme embellishments.  This brew is nice and red, I wonder what the witches made it from?  Sandra has many fun and adorable Halloween theme stamps and some great Thanksgiving theme stamps already in the store!
My favorite is definitely the Halloween theme though.  Might have to brew up something myself!!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (AC, AC Metallic, Neenah);  Rubber Stamps (Queen Kat);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilties);  Potion (Sticko);  Brads (Around the Block);  Color (Copic Markers);  White Ink (Sakura); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All);

Are you a good witch or a bad witch?

From the sites of her, I am guessing she's one good witch!  Her name is Glitterella and she's designed by Sherri Baldy of Scrapbook Stamp Society.  There's other cute digi-stamps using Glitterella too!  You can check them out at the SSS Store.  This stamp here is called Glitterella Picked a Pumpkin.
I added some cute candies covered in glitter and a witchy button.  She's colored in copic markers and the card is on a bright pink shimmery cardstock.  I think this stamp would also be great for other Pumpkin time holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, just change up the color scheme.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (AC Metallic, Bazzill, Neenah);  Digi Stamp (Addicted to Stamps-Scrapbook Stamp Society);  Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Ribbon (Michaels);  Buttons (Grandma's Button bag);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots, Ribbon Glue);  Color (Copic Markers);

Happy Haunting

Happy Haunting!  I don't know if this beautiful girl will be haunting much. This stamp is from Tickled Pink.  They make a number of great Halloween themed stamps.  That punch is a recent one that I picked up.  I had a great time at the scrapbook convention last week.  I will be showing you some new die cuts now.  The DH gave me some $$ and I got some wonderful new dies, mostly Spellbinders, but I also splurged on some amazingly detailed Cheery Lynn cutters too.
Next week will bring some treats as I just became a Design team member for Scrapalicious.  I got my first package from them yesterday.  WOO HOO.  Wait until you see their goodies.  Best Wishes for a good week.  Hugs

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Stamp (Tickled Pink);  Ink (Memento);  Flowers (Prima, Recollections); Brads (Bo Bunny, Making Memories); Punch (Martha Stewart);  Saying (Jolees);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers);

Squigglefly Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  It's time for this week's Squigglefly Challenge.  My team, the Holley Hobbyists are creating cards for this week blog challenge.  The theme this week is called "Go to the Corner!"  I am sure if you were ever misbehaved in school, you might have heard that, but since I know most of you were NEVER like that, let me say that the challenge this week is to add wonderful decoration to the CORNERS of your card, either one, two or ALL of them.    Here's my example, using a funny stamp from artist Keith Williams called Tammy meets the Dweeblinks.
Hope this creation makes you hop on over to the Squigglefly blog to check out the rest of the samples and then create your own card to play with us this week.  If you use a Squigglefly image on your card, even a freebie image, you can win a prize! So decorate your corners and get started!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill Bling, Bazzill, Making Memories, Hobby Lobby, Neenah);  Image (Squigglefly);  DieCuts (Memory Box);  Bling (Queen & Co);  Color (Copic Markers);  Adhesives (Glue Dots, Glue All);

I {heart} Halloween

This cute little witch sure does love halloween.  I don't think she is really all that scary, but I added some "scary" brads to go along with her.  She's just a delight, I think I would wear a little purple and orange withches costume.  Don't think I would carry around a spider though.
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Stamp (CC Designs);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Brads (ATB);  Saying (Sandy Lion);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue dots);  Color (Copic Markers);

Witchy-Poo

Here's a cute little witch made gorgeous on a wonderful card using some fun new papers from Paper Temptress.  This stamp is from Your Next Stamp.  These papers are from Paper Temptress including a part of their amazing new Hambly Overlays.
Have you seen all the new Hambly Overlays?  They are huge 12x12 printed transparencies.  I have trimed out a small portion of one of them for this card, the one I am using is called Orange Bohemian, can you see where I cut out the piece I am using?  Yep, it's the corner surrounding the decoration (Top left hand corner).  Then, I cut a matching piece across from it on the right side of the bohemian decor.  I am going to save that beautiful piece for a whole other card!  The base of this cardstock is a striking mica cardstock in purple, which goes wonderfully with orange overlay, called Amethyst.  The image was stamped onto Neenah Solar White paper and colored with Copic Markers.  A small piece of black paper was used to punch a line of skulls across the center.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Paper Temptress);  Rubber Stamp (Your Next Stamp);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Bling (Paper Studio);  Punch (Martha Stewart);  Adhesives (Pop Dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers);

Have a Boo-tiful day!

Here's an amazing stamp from Sweet Pea artist Anna Marine called "Trick or Treat."  I am guessing most gentlemen who look at her would not care if they were going to get a trick or a treat!  Isn't she stunning? Makes me want to go find a costume that looks like that!  be sure and check out the artist's coloring of this image as my depiction is very different.  I love to do that because it gives you many ideas from the same stamp!
Here's an enlarged version of the image so you can see some detail. I used copic markers to color my version of this stamp.  The stamp itself is approx 2.75" x 3.75"

Hope all these wonderful Halloween images are putting you in the mood, both for some Halloween fun and some Halloween cards.  Have a great weekend and get some fun crafting time in too!

Cheers, Holley

Chubby Vampire

 Here's the cutest little vampire from Queen Kat artist Coriander Shea Detwiler, Phantom Rose.  Isn't he a sweetie?  Looks like one of those creatures whose little cheeks you wanna pinch?  How adorable.  He's a little vampire on the move this season and he has some friends over at the store.   The moon in this card hardly shows it's color but it's almost a glow in the dark ink.  Spooky, cute!
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah); Rubber Stamps (Queen Kat Stamps);  Ink (Memento);  Color (Copic Markers);  Bling (Michaels);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Lace (Paper Studio);

Amongst the Graves

Here's another (semi) Halloween themed image, it's from Scrapbook Stamp Society artist Heather Valentine and is called Amongst the Graves.  I just love the two different wing types on the girls.  You will notice the one with fluffly angel looking wings is colored in yellow and the one with bat wings is colored in red and black.  Either way, they both look "Fabulous!"
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Image (Addicted To Stamps -Scrapbook Stamp Society);  Ribbon (KI Memories); Lace (Recollections); Saying (Hobby Lobby);  Bling (Michaels);  Butterfly (Petaloo);  Color (Copic Markers); Adhesives (Glue All, Glue Dots); White ink (Souffle);

It's the Grim Reaper!

I know that I just showed a card I did with a cute kitty sitting in a jack-o-lantern, but I also got this stamp from Whipper Snapper.  It's the Grim Reaper!  Oh, so had to get this one!  Lol, I know the images of the grim reaper that we all see are so terrifying, but I suppose if he came a knocking, I would hope he looked a lot more like this.  What until you see my bride of Frankenstein!  OH.
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Image (Whipper Snapper);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Embellishments (Martha Stewart); Flower (Recollections); Buttons (Grandma's Button Bag); Brad (Karen Foster); Ghost (OTC); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers);

Are you a good girl or a bad girl?

Happy Monday everyone?  Here's a fun card for a Squigglefly Challenge done with Rhonda's team this week.  The challenge is to create a Halloween themed card. I chose this fun gal all dressed up in her Halloween costume.  This adorable stamp set also has an angel image and includes the sayings shown (click here).   I love the fun skull I added too, that was a metallic image which didn't scan as well as I had hoped.
Hope this fun card makes you hop on over to the Squigglefly Challenge and make a fun card for this week's contest. If you use a Squigglefly image, then you are eligible for a prize from Squigglefly, so join in and make a Halloween card. Note, there was no winner last week, so this week, the winner gets TWO prizes.

Pumpkin Kitty!

Here's a cutie from Whipper Snapper. This adorable kitty is hanging out inside a pumpkin.  Too Cute!  I can imagine my own cat noticing a cut open (or an open plastic) pumpkin and climbing her way right on inside.  Though I think getting that adorable pumpkin top on my cat's head would be the difficult part.  This card is too cute though.
Project materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, DCWV); Rubber Stamp (Whipper Snapper);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Punch (Martha Stewart);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots, Ribbon Glue);  Color (Copic Markers);  Ribbon (JoAnns);

Emerald Fairies

Here's an adorable image from Emerald Fairies.  What a cutie!  He must enjoy something as simple as floating in the air with a seed of a dandelion.  I added a vellum saying "Waiting on the Wind."  That was just perfect.  I would say it looks like so much fun, well, it does look like so much fun, but in reality, if something lifted me up and carried me like this tiny fairy, that would really be terrifying.
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Metallic, Neenah);  Rubber Stamp (Emerald Fairies);  Ink (Memento); Die Cut (Lifestyles);  Saying (JoAnns);  Stickers (Jolees);  Border Punch (Martha Stewart);  Color (Copic Markers);  Adhesive (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All);

Toucan

Hello everyone! I hope you have been enjoying the variations on the Toucan stamp this week.  This gorgeous design is from artist ching-chou kuik on Plate #211.  What a stunning image.  We don't have any toucans around here in Austin, but we are surrounded by native parrots.  Not the Scarlet Macaws, but green parrots actually live in the "wild" in my neighborhood.
The other day I was walking by my neighbor's house (she has bird feeders) and I looked up at the power line, there was ELEVEN parrots right there.  WOW.  Sight to be seen, and a squawk you can hear!  Now, if we just had these awesome toucans in our neighborhood, imagine seeing that.  I think the parrots actually came from Mexico at some time and just settled here.  We also have migratory parrots of the same type that fly through.  There are times when I see parrots in different neighborhoods and locations and many more than typical.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah);  Image (Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento);  Die Cuts (Lifestyles);  Ribbon (Prima);  Butterfly (Flora Doodles);  Bling (Queen & Co);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Ribbon Glue, Glue dots, Glue All);  Color (Copic Markers);

You can't take it with you?

Says who?  This awesome Steampunk girl from Tickled Pink would like to know.  I think she's ready to try and take it with her.  This cutie is one that I got sometime ago when I won a blog card contest on their challenge site. I do so love this sassy image.  I think the saying fits right along with her attitude.  Had to give her grey eyes.

Chubby Vampire

Here's a new stamp that is coming out at Queen Kat stamps from artist Phantom Rose (Coriander Shea Detwiller).  He's called Chubby Vamp.  Too cute, Huh?  I am continuing on my Halloween kick lately, but with much different colors today.  This layout uses some awesome papers from Paper Temptress.
The base of the card is shimmery mica called Kunzite, it matches the copic markers I used to color the Chubby Vamp exactly.  The left sided border is a small piece of Hambly Clear Overlay called Gold Hanging Heliconias.  The paper I chose for stamping and coloring in Copics is Heavenly White which I layered in a small piece of black cardstock to make it stand out.  I added a felt saying, "Boo!" from Queen & Co that is cut from Felt.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Paper Temptress);  Rubber Stamp (Queen Kat);  Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities);  Brads (Queen & Co);  Saying (Queen & Co);  Color (Copic Markers);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue Dots, Glue All);

Tilda the Scarecrow

Today is another Tilda, but this Tilda is quite well known.  She's from Magnolia stamps and is super cute.  She's dressed up as a scarecrow to protect the crops, but I must say I don't know if she would scare anything away.  I think the more I keep wishing Fall would get here, the quicker it would come?  Well, perhaps at least the 100 degree weather would go down a little anyways.
Project Materials:  Cardstock (Heidi Grace, Neenah, Bazzill);  Image (Magnolia);  Buttons (Unknown);  Brads (Queen & Co, Unknown);  Leaves (Jesse James);  Flower (Linda W);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk);  Color (Copic Markers);

So drop by the store and check out all Mike Eustis' great images.  Then go to the Challenge blog and make a card. All you have to do is pick your favorite color and make a card with different varieties of that color.  Use a Squigglefly image and you are eligible for a prize.
