Happy Halloween! I wish like when I was a kid I could say all the kiddos got to come to school in costume, but my district doesn't allow that anymore. I won't say I understand or even know the district policy so I am not criticizing either way on this policy only stating that I wish the kiddos could have memories like I did.

Here's a black cat card to celebrate the Halloween. This card comes from SEI. I just love their card kits. They don't seem to work as much in the card making realm as they used to, but I LOVE their supplies, esp their beautiful papers. Just five more nights to Halloween. I guess a month into fall I should start showing some fall theme cards, lol. My DH pointed that out to me and then laughed at why I don't think about it being fall because it's usually still 100 degrees outside in Texas at the end of September. I don't even begin thinking about fall until well into October. (Like about now, lol)

Here's a cute card that I made from Embellishments by Simple Stories. It's not from a card making kit rather just simple stories papers and sticker sets. I recall making this at the last scrapbook convention where I worked like a maniac making something like 178 cards! (4 days!)
Trick or Treat everyone! Wouldn't we all prefer a treat? a crafting treat for that matter....speaking of crating treats keep me in mind for the month of February as I am coming upon year 14!! WOW. Can you believe that?!? for those of you who are new. Year 14, means I am 14 years post 2 brain surgeries that saved my life! WOO HOO and better yet I haven't had a seizure since. AMEN.

Happy Saturday everyone! So happy to have a weekend break from school. This time (from labor day to thanksgiving) is a long run with no real days off to start the school year. Then we will start having breaks periodically to break up the time until the end of the year (which is too long away to even think about now). One this I have been seeing a lot of, since like AUGUST is pumpkin!! WOO HOO. I do love pumpkin. In fairness, given that fall doesn't even start until late Sept, August seems a bit early. Then again, craft stores have been filled to the brim with Christmas theme since JUNE! SIGH.

I made this cute bear card from a kit by Krazy Kreations. I went to a craft show in Irving, Texas and they were one of the booths. They sell card kits that make three cards. I got this cute one and made three DIFFERENT cards with my kit.

Happy Monday everyone! Can you believe we are a week into October already. It's two months of school at this point. WOW. I have the cutest 2 yr old class of kiddos. Plus I don't know if i had mentioned this on my blog, but I actually got hearing aids of my own. Now I have a better understanding of my children's hearing though typically their hearing loss is more severe than mine.
I got this gorgeous embellishment when I traveled in Austria. The stunning lace is from Turkiye.

Here's the cutest bird card that my mother, Gayle made using a kit from PhotoPlay. How cute is this? we did all kinds of cards together back last year at the convention in Sept. So much fun.
Here's a pumpkin themed card for Halloween that I made from an SEI kit. Little dissapointed in how this photographed as the image has orange foil on it but it doesn't show up. Either in a photo or a scanner. It's really a lot prettier than it looks here.

Here's a gorgeous felt die cut heart that I got in Turkiye. What a gorgeous embellishment to make a card. I just love many of the things I find there to use as creations. This heart is one of them.
