It's almost time.... (Celebration info)

Tomorrow starts the celebration, are you all as ready as me?!? Here's a fun card today using an awesome image from artist Rick St Dennis. She is called Batty Bettina. There's a new challenge starting tomorrow morning at Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge blog and it's called "Love is in the Air".  The challenge is to include something with wings on it, be it in your image or your embellishments.  I can't wait to see what you all make and share for that challenge.

Now on to the Blog Candy Celebration starting up tomorrow, are you ready? Here's a little info:


If you are outside the USA, I do have to limit what I can send, I can send flat items like stamps or die cuts. I can send you digi gift certificates to stores.  If you don't have a die cut machine or printer, please let me know.

Those in the USA I can send packages to, nowadays the post office charges the same for 2oz or 8oz, so that's good for you!  Most prize packs are things like a stamp set plus 6 pack of embellishments or multiple stamp sets. 

NOW, most days I seem to ask some general question-- about all those questions I ask everyday, I may seem to be babbling, but I am actually asking them for a reason, it's a little get to know you so I can see what people like (and don't like) as well as know what they have (or don't, for example, you don't stamp or you don't have a die cut machine);  I do pay attention to what people say and try to pick their prize packs  accordingly!  so, it's very much to your advantage to answer the questions.  I don't always have that one thing you may really want, but you never know.  You might just LOVE shoe stamps and I happen to have a whole bunch of them.

I expect that several people will win more than once and that many people who already won will win grand prize items, so I always wait until the end of Feb to mail things out. I think if you have played in past years you know that I am pretty speedy at getting out the number of packages that I have to.  I am usually done in 2 weeks and I mail out 50-100 packages.  Each day in March I will be listing the names of whose packages have gone into the mail that day.

Card Making Class in Austin, TX

I am having a card making class if you are in the Austin TX area!  Here's the three cards we will put together.  It will be held at Crestview United Methodist Church on Feb 9th. Class times are 10am or 7pm.  There is child care option for the 7pm class. Cost is $5 to cover materials.

Birthday Card

Here's a great image from artist Sherri Baldy today.  I made this darling birthday card for a sibling who's birthday is approaching.  I thought she would love the cupcake and ice cream cone together.  This cute image is called Img 642.

Be sure and check out the latest challenge over at the SSS Challenge blog, the current theme is Anything Goes + Add Three.  As you can see I used three different die cuts on this lovely card, the Cupcake, the Happy Birthday Banner, and the image die cut.  There's also three types of candy on this cute image!  I hope you will join in our fun and win some wonderful images from Sherri Baldy!

Hello!

Here's a lovely card today using beautiful papers from Paper Temptress and a gorgeous freebie stamp from Faery Ink digi stamps.  This artist's images are so very adorable and go perfect with the papers chosen.

The base cardstock is a wonderful bright pink called Watermelon Sorbet.  The lace printed sheet is from Hambly Studios. It's one of their screen prints and it's called Old Lace.  I cut out a lovely Hello sentiment using some beautiful shimmery white cardstock called Vintage Silver Lustre.  The image was printed out on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest paper and colored with copic markers.

Only three days from blog candy now!! Are you ready?!?  I am ready to celebrate.  Every year away from surgery and seizure free is a huge celebration.  It truly betters my odds that life will remain seizure free.  check out some blog candy photos HERE.

Simply Sweet

Here's an adorable image from Dilly Beans and she's simply sweet. I totally love rag dolls with button eyes. I guess to some they seem a little creepy but I love this little girl. She's just too cute.

I have just about everything laid out now, there's stuff everywhere.  The things I haven't shared with you yet are all the embossing folders, the final pictures of all the embellishments after I finished loading them and a few more goodies that will remain a surprise!!

Hopefully tomorrow I will get in one more posting of prizes before the contest starts.

Here's a stunning image from Crafty Sentiments Designs called Just Relax.  Isn't she adorable?  I just love this sweet little girl.  I made this card for the challenge this week on Outlawz Monday Greetings.  Their theme is Anything Goes, and for the Monday group, you need to include a greeting on the front of you card.  As I did here, a die cut sentiment is fine.

Doctor Terrific

Here's a brand new image from artist Sandra Caldwell of Babycakes DND on Etsy.  He's called Dr T for TERRIFIC!  That's my doctor and the reason for the upcoming celebration.  Though, I must say, he doesn't look quite like this stamp or at least he would say, "that doesn't look anything like me."  He's sweet though, so he would probably just laugh and say thank you for the card.  I take him and his whole office a card when I go to visit them every 3 to six months.

Here's a stunning image today from The East Wind.  I just love her awesome stamps.  The challenge over on their blog is black/white and one other colors. So I hope my grey tone card with a colored image qualifies.  I think this image stands out perfectly without a lot of embellishing for a card.  She's beautiful all by herself.

There's a fun challenge going on over at the Lizzy Love (Oddball Art Challenge Blog).  It's called All you need is love.  Well I LOVE her fun stamps, so I did this quick and cute card to showcase one of her adorable images.  You know I just love this little girl's socks! Three of a kind Challenge

There's a brand new challenge happening over on the SSS Challenge blog to use three of something on your card. As you can see, my card is filled with lots of 3...sets of three flowers, sets of three bling, sets of three layers of paper, sets of three buttons.  How fun is this challenge?

More Blog Candy

Hi everyone.  I also have some Digi stamp companies who are sending prizes and some who are giving me a nice discount that I will be using to purchase goodies to send to you.  As many of you know, esp my friends overseas, as of Jan 17 it's $9.80 for the ounce to go overseas in a package!  Really?!?  I would rather give one of these amazing artists that money instead of the US post office!

That being said, I do have some prizes that I will send, great stamps and die cuts that fit inside a single card and can be sent as letter mail without declaring them as packages.  Please understand of the financial limitations in sending. In fact, it's cheaper to send you THREE 2 oz letters than ONE three ounce letter!  So three single stamp mailings is cheaper than one mail with two stamps in it.
