Skelly Cat

So one other thing I often pick up in Turkey is patches, not for sewing onto clothing but for using on cards.  They have the cutest patches and lace embellishments.  Here's one of a fun kitty skeleton.

The sentiment says "Take Heart. Here's mine."  How adorable is that?  I also added some wonderful black Turkish Lace to this card.  What fun it was last summer going all over the place buying gorgeous lace everywhere.

Dirt-tea bunny

Here's the cutest stamp from Trinity stamps, he's called Dirt-tea bunny.  HA!  TOO funny.  His cup has a saying stamped on it, "Another cup bites the dust."   I also added a great sentiment stamp from Unity stamps to go with him.  Then I added some great doodlebug washi tape to finish off the card.

Drink Coffee

Here's a lovely Unity card with a lovely lady that is coffee themed.  I also added some beautiful turkish lace and some pearls in green.   I hope this card makes you think of fall even if your city is not having fall now.  Much of the time in Texas this time of year can be wildly hot or cold, you just never know!

Skull Patch

Dear Fear, you've overstayed your welcome!  Here's a fun patch that I got along with some great Turkish lace that I bought in Turkiye this summer.  I thought it was a perfect share around Halloween Time.  How cool is this?  I guess in America these patches are kind of expensive for buying and sticking on cards, there they are around 3-10 lira so 35cent to 1.50, but I rarely get anything as big or fancy as 1.50.

Now, here I'll make a big confession that there were these tiny but amazingly sewn little flowers and mirrored little embellishments (for clothes or something) but of course I am thinking cards.  They were tiny but super cute and matching so you could use them everywhere like I use buttons.  Needless to say I walked out with a good $60 worth they were super cute and like a lira or 2 lira (.30 each) somehow I got a couple hundred lol.  I'm not talking about 60 lira, i mean 60 USD (480 lira).   Frankly it could have been more, I probably spent $200 at that store getting all kinds of amazing things.  Hopefully I will share something I use them on soon.  For that money, I dang well better use 'em.

Pressed Leaf cards

Here's a sweet and simple card that I made using some pressed leaves given to me by a dear lady at my church.  These were given to me a while ago now, she would often hand me a book in which she had been putting leaves or flowers in, or a book  that she found years later with pressed items in.  Then I make cards with them often of which get sold in the church's bazaar.  I do so miss my church and my dear friend.

This cool stamp and sentiment comes from Hero Arts.  For those of you who don't already know me, I love to collect fossils by checking out my local ditches and sea urchins (and the spines) are my favorites! so I do so love to come across a stamp set with some sea urchin stamps.  I wish I could say I have found a stamp with a sea urchin with it's spines attached but no luck there,  I have found them separately though.

I added some very elegant Turkish lace that I got this past summer.  It's actually two sided, so this is half of it.  I just loved it, it's so gorgeous.
