Here's a simple and elegant looking Christmas card that I made using silver trees with gold stars and ribbon. I did it with mulberry paper. I have a bunch of wonderful handmade Christmas cards this year. I usually don't make much of them but decided to do so this year.
You all know that this gives me a little laugh. Everything needs a little more HOLLY doesn't it. Well, of course it's not really spelled like my name (HOLLEY) but it's like my name sounds and how everyone thinks my name is spelled anyways so I still get a laugh.
Here's a STUNNING card from Guest Designer Jan today. She created this card in a class she took during the convention, Scrapbook Expo in Irving Texas. I wish I could tell you who taught her class but I have forgotten. so sorry. I am sure Jan would leave a comment and let you know if possible. Here's what she made:

My American Friends all know what black friday means, but for my friends out of the country, black friday is the day after thanksgiving typically when stores give some of their biggest sales of the year for Christmas time. It's thought to be the time when stores go from being the red (not profitable) to black (profitable). Black friday sales for Christmas are HUGE. sometimes people get up in the middle of the night and camp out in front of stores to be the first one in the door for the sale or stores open up in the middle of the night! As for me, I'm staying home. Now that we have computer sales, much of the traditional black friday habits have changed.
So, I thought today good for the first christmas card

Wishing all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving today! Best Wishes. I hope you all have wonderful plans and get in a little bit of pumpkin pie :) One thing I am thankful for this year is my amazing new job at the school that started last year in like February or so working part time with the 2 year olds. What a delight.

I'm thankful for the weather getting cooler this month and I am thankful for things like heating and air conditioning.
So continuing on with the theme of Giving thanks this month. here's a great card from Simple stories that says, "Give Thanks." Huge thanks today for my dear bestie. She's been a wonderful light in my life that helps me whenever I need her and more! I love her so much. She's the sweetest person you ever did meet. May God bless her and hear her prayers.
There's always something to be Thankful for. That's what this reflective card says. I added some lovely Turkish lace to it as well. I have been adding little comments this month about just a FEW of the things that I am thankful for...i mean I am leaving out the most obvious things that we are all thankful for, the roof over my head, the food on my table, the wonderful hubby, the fact that I have a job, that I live in a safe neighborhood, .....
Happy Friday everyone! This a big one for us as we start on our Thanksgiving week break after today. We are all looking forward to that. Woo Hoo! I thought this card was funny, since I actually had a card kit that says WOO HOO!! (well, the kit itself didn't make a woo hoo card, I used the left over pieces after making the cards to create my own WOO HOO card)

Happy Birthday to a staff member in the DHH department at my school. She's an awesome teacher. I have really enjoyed seeing her most recent students just blossom into amazing 5th and 4th graders. WOW. They are so lucky to have her. I hope she has a very happy birthday today!

Here's a love fall/thanksgiving theme card in many lovely fall colors. I added some great Turkish Lace to the project. How sweet is that? I just love the beautiful "fall" days, which for us is anything but summer or winter. Could be 80 could be 40? Hmmm....but in Nov, closer to 80, lol. For thanks today, let me give those to my DH who gives me just everything I ever want and dream of including amazing tickets to Turkiye every summer!

Here's a lovely Hello Fall card in beautiful range of fall colors. I just loved this wonderful kit form Simple Stories. The colors are just gorgeous. What's your favorite color mix? is it seasonal? I think mine would be a fall mix like this, followed by a spring mix that includes that same colors but bright.

Here's a wonderful Thankful card for today. I will be sharing a number of Thankful cards over the month and I hope each time doing a little reflection about something that I am thankful about. I am using some wonderful Turkish lace here, it's in the brown color family. I hope your November is off to a good start, So, let's see, things I am thankful for: I am so very thankful for all the medical personal that I have been seeing lately. I know I seem to complain about it a lot, but the truth is these people are really wonderful and doing nothing but helping me better my life.

What are you all thankful for? this month when I share a thankful card, I will be adding a message that says at least one thing that I am thankful for. You will get to see a whole bunch of reasons. Today's is something silly: I am so thankful for Diet Dr Pepper. Sounds crazy, but it's one pleasure that I just enjoy. I like to have a diet dr pepper in the morning or the afternoon to enjoy. I am also so thankful for Turkish Coffee. WITH sugar. I love their coffee.

Well, now that November is here it's definitely fall time. It actually becomes fall in September, but back then it still feels like summer. Now that we are in NOV, it is starting to feel more like fall. here's a sweet fall card from Simple Stories.
